My Essen booty - 2007

No, I didn't get to Essen this year - but I was there in spirit, aided and abetted by my gaming twin, the lovely 7ofAnn. Ann and Ageeth kindly offered to pick up some games for me and Fraser. First, the "big" Essen game. Ann didn't pick this one up (rumours that it was too heavy to lift are apparently unfounded), but Lookout Games are kindly sending me a copy ... somehow
Ann did, however, play the game - and reports good stuff
From Essen reports here at BGN and boardgame.de and - particularly - at Fairplay, it sounds like this is one of the real hits of the show. There has been cheering in Australia. |

Not only did she take my wish list to Essen, she even responded to my email after day 1, saying "Ann, if you read this, please pick up the pink game for me!!!" Now that is service above and beyond the call.

I think all our other Power Grid expansions came from Essen (thanks Stefanie) so it stood to reason that this one should, too. Icing on the cake was that it was bought from two such huge Power Grid fans, who we have played the game with on BSW. |

It still needs a little polishing, I think. Klemens must have worked through the night to get those cards laid out!
And William deserves at least as much praise for doing the French translation, too. He's just less noisy about it than I am
