Games that are just plain FUN!

So what I'm looking for is games that are a lot of fun and can be played by gamers and non-gamers alike, though the games don't need to be simple. I enjoy strategy, tough decisions and risk/reward, but I also enjoy a little chaos, a nice screw factor and games that make me laugh.
Please feel free to add games that have the same effect for you and your gaming group!
And please don't worry about whether I own the game or not, I'm just looking for some fun!

This is the game that got me thinking about this list. I've only played the game a handful of times, but each time I do I enjoy it immensely. Taking away other peoples land so they have swimmers, moving boats away from where others can jump on and chanting for the sea monster die roll are all a big part of what we do! No one takes it too seriously and while there are several important decisions along the way, it's more about the FUN factor!

Another great game of chaos and trying to get the other player, by whatever means necessary. This is the game in which my group spends more time laughing and joking about another players misfortune than any other game. Whether it's getting shot in the back by another robot, powering down only to be pushed into a laser or off of the board or getting caught on a treadmill, life is good and fun!

This game has the fun factor (only with six) to a lesser extent but it's still there for us. Having your horse stop on the single passing squares so the chariot behind you can't pass, playing low cards so the person in first can't play their six card or just paying tribute to the Caesar with a proper salute, this is a lighter, yet very fun game!

This one has been a blast every time we've pulled it out. Lots of haggling, groans, guessing at bluff bets, shouting for a particular roll, and squinting as we try to determine which like-colored horse is which--oh wait, that part sucks.
But the rest of the game is "just plain FUN!"

One of my favorite games for the fun factor is Um Reifenbreite. Watching how the race develops; the exhilaration of thundering downhill; cheering for the stragglers at the back of the pack.
Worth a look.

It's the most aptly named game ever. It has been described by the designer as "Fluxx that ends", and it is described by me as "somewhat like Fluxx but awesome." Always good for 5-10 minutes of fun.

Nothing ground breaking here but for whatever reason we have a BLAST every time we break this game out. Out of the dozens of plays I don't think it has ever NOT turned into a good time.

What's more fun than throwing a spear at an opponent, having him retaliate by destroying your chariot, your horses dragging you half-way along the track, finally cutting yourself loose, subsequently jumping onto another passing chariot, knocking the original driver off, and eventually riding to victory? True story.

I think this one fits the bill perfectly. Anyone can play this and have fun. There is very little to actually learn ruleswise. Young and old can play in the same game without any problem. The only problems with the game are cost and a place big enough to set it up.

This is just fun. Lots of fun.
Once when we were playing a game of PitchCar Mini, one guy was standing far from the table with his hands out like a catcher just waiting to catch it when it left the track on the curve, then it actually did leave the track and he did catch it - there's nothing else quite like it.

If you are looking for a game with a little risk, a certain screw factor and some chaos, than is this one definitely one you're looking for...

When you say chaos, you say fluxx. You love it or you hate it, but it can be a lot of fun. At least for me it is!

Awesome fun and great for laughs. This tin box version of "Perudo" is the best version I've seen. Supports up to 6 and everybody gets a different set of colored dice and cup.

By Urs Hostettler, the guy behind Krelin and Tichu, this one stands for (sur)realistic, weird laughter. I play this recently a lot with my family and sometimes you just activate some hotel guest to see what happens, even if it might screw your whole hotel!
Think about a dinosaur pet searching through the hotels for a mini-bar, activating some military officer who wakes up the whole village, activating some TV-people who start interviews with the employees and finding out, the receptionist is illegal, so he has to leave, but without him, certain guests are discontented and are bothered, so they start other actions ... and this just being the "start" of the chain reaction ...

This game is made of 100% fun. No two ways about it. (well, perhaps there are two ways about the ball's spin...)

Oh no Lava!
And look, it's flowing right onto the building with two of your little family members! Yeehaw!
To the volcano with you!
Then you must make the sound of the little family members screaming before being tossed into the volcano followed by a sissss of them burning up. Poor Aunt Mildred!

However bad I am at them, dexterity games always make me laugh. They're a great way to break the ice and, more often than not, they will attract onlookers.
My favourites: Make 'n' Break (quick and easy); Tier auf Tier (looks pretty, although I think I prefer the M 'n' B gameplay); Bamboleo (a real hit with non-gamers)

Any push-your-luck game is good, but this one seems to be the winner.
Any time players are cheering for a card to come out, you know you are on a winner (should we add Ra to the list as well?)

This is one of few games I play where I really don't care at all who's winning (or even keep track, generally). It's played purely for fun, and fun it is! It's sort of like Flux and Uno combined, except fun instead of tedious

This game often gets a bad rap mostly because several rulesets don't seem to have "fun" in mind (thus, people play with cruel rules, don't have fun, and dimsiss it). However, when played in the true spirit of Mao, fun is absolutely the first word I'd use to describe this.

I'd say this fits as well. I neither love nor hate this game. I sort of try to avoid it (some in our gamer groups really like it a ton so try to play it often), but I always have a lot of fun with it when I do end up playing.

I've had so much fun with this game... and I never get tired of playing it, or introducing it to new people.
In some groups the accusations of 'saboteur' come even before the cards are dealt... and the game develops it's own mythos over time!!

I had forgotten about Pompeii! I'm going to add it!
Hmmm... Pirate's Cove. Maybe I need to get it out again.

One of my must-haves, Manila, is often mentioned as "plain fun!". Anyone that actually has played it that agrees and wants to add it?

Yeah, but.
Gamers that are fun are usually drawn to fun games. Most of them (with a few notable exceptions) are not likely to take a game, say of Munchkin or Apples, seriously.
