I'm a bit behind this month. Perhaps BGG.CON is to blame. My wife and I attended this year and couldn't have had a better time. One of the highlights was meeting Eric Burgess. While we had an absolute blast, we were too busy playing games to listen to any podcasts. I've just about caught up. I should have the missiong content up by the end of the week.
For those of you who weren't able to join the fun in Dallas, you'll get to hear Eric and Aldie discuss this year's convention in episode #44 of Boardgame Babylon. Episode #26 of Little Wooden Cubist features a report from convention attendee, Jeff Fournier. Doug Garrett, Paul Tevis, and others mention the possibility of attending BGG.CON in the future. I know that we certainly plan to make it a yearly tradition.
Last month, I commended the Metagamers for their excellent Essen preview. We didn't hear anything more from them this month. However, Mark Johnson has a wonderful conversation with Mike Siggins in episode #74 of Boardgames to Go. They review most of the biggest hits from the Spiel 2007.
If you're shopping for that gamer friend this holiday season, you'll want to be sure and check out episode #43 of the Spiel for Stephen and Dave's 2007 Holiday Gift Guide.
