Children's tile laying game. Players try to connect their ant tunnels to the goodies at the picnic (7x7 grid). They can also play tiles of "baddies" (bug spray, ant-eating spiders, human feet that squash ants, etc.) on the other players' tunnels causing them to go around or play a tile clearing the problem before they can go on. When all the goodies are eaten, the player who got the most wins.

Its time for a picnic. The players also bring an assortment of fly swatters and bug spray to defend against the hordes of bugs sure to come. The starting player pulls a bug card from his hand, and passes it to the next player; who can either play another bug -- passing the larger horde on to his neighbor -- or defend his food with one of the aforementioned weapons.

Marino is a little place on the Castelli hills, just south of Rome. You go there for pic-nics on sundays... and you meet bugs.
I think that this is NOT the reason why this game, about becoming the king of insects, is titled Marino.
