STOP! PLEASE READ: THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO BE OR START A RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION OUTSIDE OF THE APPROPRIATE FORUM. PLEASE MOVE ANY RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION TO THE APPROPRIATE FORUM. THANK YOU.
Although this list deals with religious practices, its intended to focus on the cultural impacts of the religion not the religion itself. I want to be respectful to all beliefs of all members of the BGG community.
As background, from wikipedia: "Lent, in most Christian denominations, is the forty-day liturgical season of fasting and prayer before Easter. The forty days represent the time Jesus spent in the desert, where, according to the Bible, he endured temptation by Satan." and "In the Roman Catholic Church it is tradition to abstain from meat from Ungulates (meaning roughly "being hooved" or "hooved animal") every Friday for the duration of Lent, although dairy products are still permitted. "
The consequence of this is that, for some, Fridays during lent are an occasion for eating fish in lieu of meat. This is why in heavily RC areas, you see lots of fish frys on Fridays in the spring. So, I thought it would be a good time to list fish related games. Please accept this a tribute to one of the cultural traditions that has developed out of a religion.
There is an older list that covers similar ground http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/712. My first thought was that there would be a number of games added to the database since then. So, I thought that it has been long enough that a new list might be worthwhile. Boy, howdy! This current list is much longer and I'm pretty sure there is much I missed. I'm not sure that the length is a good thing as I know almost nothing about most of these games. So its mostly just a list of games with few comments. If nothing else, it might aid a few of the geekgold hounds in finding under served games.
Please add any you can think up.

I know shrimp aren't technically fish, but they count for Lenten purposes.

This is the game that made me think this list might work. Can a game be more appropriate?
