A list of Print and Play games that are really quick to make. If you've not tried a Print and Play game, you really should try one of the games on this list.

What have I missed? Do you know of another Print and Play game thats really quick to make and worth the effort?

This game is SO good, it should be produced professionally. I'd love to have a set of these tiles in a nice ceramic.

As a bonus, this abstract is entirely Black and White

This is one of the quickest to print and play, and it really does seem to work out for most people (the 6.96 rating is great, especially for a PnP), but it didn't work out for me, at least in the solo variant.

I really want to play the two player game, as I think my experience with the game would be much better that way.

Looked good enough I printed it off and gave it a go.

Surprisingly good! I only tried the 2-player version, but it was actually a lot of fun. I always enjoy games that make you choose to draw new tiles.

It also had a good balance between enclosing areas and just amassing large amounts of tiles.

I used Eric Pietrocupo's variant that an incomplete enclosure pays 1 point per symbol and a closed enclosure pays 2 points per symbol.

I highly recommend it. Much closer to Carcassonne than Gilk or it's ilk.

Downloaded the rules and stuff, but have not made my set yet. I've played the online version a bunch however - this game is surprisingly good, both strategically and tactically.

I'm going to print my set up on heavy paper and mount them to one of the sets of wooden Scrabble tiles I've picked up at a bazillion garage sales.

Very fun game... I printed it off almost a year ago and played it several nights in a row with the wife to great success. Have been meaning to make an heirloom quality set for myself ever since... seeing it in a geeklist reminds me I should get back on that. Definitely worth more time than printed paper, but give it a shot if you're on the fence.

Looking this over, I found the rules too bland, so I worked up a new copy (merely graphical, no rules changes) and uploaded it to the files section.

I pnp this game last week, and while the games is sbrilliant it really needs someone who re-design all the cards, add some images and some icons to them so you can play without having to read the card all the time.

And Richthofen himself is cheating playing with one more card :p

Could you post a turn order summary?

I just follow the rule, if I have less than 4 cards, I draw up to 4

I know there are some moments where you have special rules as the one like, "If you can not match a manouver, draw a extra card"

So we just played in the logical way to gain the benefit, as in draw one card because you have less than 4, and after that draw the extra card, so you end with 5.

This is one, that I now, personally think is too hard.
The failure rate is very high.
However when you do finally get to win, you know you have beaten some very long odds to do so!!
That warm fuzzy feeling is definitely worth it, but getting there is frustrating.

Great game. I really like the mechanics and theme. Although I wouldn't say it can be put together in 5 minutes. It took me the better part of an hour at least for the printing, gluing, and cutting. Unfortunately I used top loader to put the cards in since it was all I could find. So the game is rather bulky kept in top loaders.

That game session managed to sell 5 copies of the game to non-players. :D

Print out the tileset twice on two different colours of paper (white and...) and off you go. 18 tiles per player.

Place tiles adjacent to one another by matching up the sides (as in XXXenophile or Girl Genius: The Works), but note that there are only 4 tiles used for scoring. So, you position your tiles as best you can, then set yourself up for a good score before your opponent can interfere.

Suggested rule change: instead of "real time", draw tiles 1, 2, or 3 at a time and play u-go-I-go.

The file you link to can be used to play some sort of Twixt, but the layout is very cluttered. All those extraneous horizontal and vertical lines get in the way of visualization for me. And the diagonal guide lines are black just like a link drawn in black pencil would be, so how could you tell them apart? The coordinate labels are almost unreadable. A better version IMNSHO is at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/14546

This is a much cleaner layout. Two versions are provided. One has faint gold diagonal guide lines, and the other has no guide lines.

When you play paper & pencil Twixt, the rules change slightly with regard to linking. Links are never removed (no erasure necessary), but your OWN links are allowed to cross each other. Opposing links never cross of course. So, you might produce a winning path which loops across itself. Crossed links are not necessarily connected. To win, you must make a chain of linked pegs, each directly linked to the next, which connects your border rows.

Don't forget the pie rule! :-)

Could you define "Print & Play"? There are a few games that I can think of that are printable, but I think they miss the theme you're aiming for.

I'm thinking that you could print up Werewolf or even a copy of Category 5.

Its good to see pnp and dtp stuff increasing; good games come in all forms.
