A lesser man might wonder why the gods have forsaken him. May 10 was one of the periodic day long open game days for the Grand Rapids Area Board Gamers. This geeklist is a tribute to my futility and my utter hopelessness. But I'm not one to live alone with my horrid play. Share and share alike I say! Add in the games YOU lost this weekend.

But it's all good right? I mean, the *point* is to have fun right?

A game *I* brought and *wanted* to play. :cry:

The basic mechanics were grasped easily enough but evidently the strategy utterly elueded me.

TJ - and cold_fuzion had 80 something and 90 something. One of them won - who cares.

Me. I got 33. W00t!!!

Do not feel too bad. I have played this game 4 times and lost all of them.
Container is easy to lose.

I really thought we had that first game, but the cascading outbreaks just killed us. The second game was ugly from the start.

Weldy described it as "Yahtzee with a story!" I actually quite liked this game. I liked it even more as we were down to the last rolls of the dice.

I had 10 5's I believe - something like that. Everyone was saying, "oh, that is going to be hard to beat."

Van - "Yea but Mr. "I come in at the last minute and crush you" Weldy is up to bat next."

Weldy - Rolls eyes, "nah"

He beat me on his last roll. same number of dice but all sixes.

Why? Why me? Why do the gaming gods hate me so?

I traded a copy of Hive to get this game in a Math trade. First Play. cold_fuzion crushes me. Did I attract a single stinking dragon to my side? I did not.

Second game. Cold_fuzion crushes me slightly less convincingly. Did I attract a single dragon to my side? I did not. But I at least moved one back to the neutral area.

Once.

And I gave up my wooden copy of Hive for this abuse????

Okay, I've heard of blowout wins in this game, but two in a row? I suspect you might not be playing the game correctly. Either that, or you forgot to shuffle your deck.

(Oh, and I think this is a far better game than Hive.)
