The site www.abreojogo.com is the Portuguese encounter point for the boardgame addicts. A lot of Portuguese players are both BGG and AbreOJogo contributors, and we use a lot of BGG to keep track of stats and share our hobby with the international community, while we are on AbreOJogo to keep in touch with the national community. You can see the current rank here. In this the AbreOJogo members that are also BGG members classify the games. In the last months the number of members has grown at a rate no one had predicted. The monthly Gatherings of Lisbon and Oporto, as well as new groups getting together all around the country (Almada, Aveiro, Oeiras and Abrantes) just to name a few) have helped to spread the word of mouth of the boardgame players community. Every week we see new faces showing up, getting out, meeting new people and playing new games. So without much more let's start it. This is the current TOP 100, with pointers to the last time I've collected this data (see geeklist: Portuguese TOP 100 - June 2008) If some of you are visiting Portugal, drop by at one of the weekly meetings be it in Lisbon, Oporto, Oeiras, Leiria, Abrantes, Aveiro or Almada. We would like to receive you and make you feel at home.=================== Some facts to be known: Number of users for abreojogo that have account in BGG: 109 ( +2 ) Number of users with collections on BGG: 99 (90.8%) ( +1 ) Number of users with voted games: 92 (84.4%) ( +0 ) Total number of owned games: 6058 ( +148 ) Total number of different owned games: 2208 ( +20 ) Total number of voted games: 5571 ( +191 ) Total number of different voted games: 1609 (28.9%) ( +27 ) Average classification: 7.015 ( -0.018 ) On the rank there only enter games with at least 4 votes. Bayesian Average has 6 extra votes in the game with the value of the average classification (currently 7.015) Total number of games in the current rank: 388 ( +13 ) (of the total 1609 games with votes) The current rank goes down to 4 decimal places refining the data a little more. Just fallen of the Top 10, it appears the contender for the Top 5 just a few months back is loosing the momentum.
The current crop of games in the 11th to 20th place as had very different starts, and 5 of them even got up to the Top 10 sometime in the past.

A constant presence on the Top 25, HotS started to slide down 2 months ago. Will this trend continue out of the front page?
As you can check in 8 months just 7 games made it to the Top 25, with the Top 5 a very stable cluster of games, and the normal up and down dance of a rank based in a small community, that I hope to go growing all days.
