It is a little-known fact that before devoting themselves entirely to train games, Winsome developed dozens of titles on many diverse subjects. These early titles all had very short initial print runs, but many have since been picked up by larger publishers. Some highlights (and some surprises!) are listed below.

Is there a title on that box? The colors are horrible together, and my eyes can't make out the words.

Hey the label on that piece should be upside down for it to have to proper orientation during play. John would never make such an error in one of his rulebooks. This is clearly not an original copy.

The crayon was only provided in the *special* '94 printing, limited by how many unused crayons were in Emma's 80 pack Crayola BigBox. Thanks again, Emma!

Stephen is right about the text, BTW.

My assumption was that the 'blocks' were intended to be folded not like tents, but in an L shape. This way, if play is interrupted, the blocks can be unfolded to a more obtuse angle, shielding their info from accidental opponent viewing.

However, since Mr. Bohrer has confirmed that the blocks should be tented, I have clearly received some bad intel. I apologize for my embarrassing mistake; I truly believed my source was trustworthy. I've privately contacted the apparent pirate who sent me the forged page, and if he can't provide a damned good explanation for this mess, I'm totally de-friending him on Facebook.

This may be even better than the Barbara Kruger list.

I cannot now remember who it was that said, back in the early 80s, that AT&T knew so little about marketing that if they bought Kentucky Fried Chicken they'd change its name to Kentucky Cut-Up Cooked Dead Chicken. You can guess what made me think of it.

Here's hoping Mr. Bohrer never breaks down and learns Adobe Illustrator. Flat and fugly is just so much more endearing.

At that time (before the court-ordered breakup in 1984) AT&T didn't need any marketing - they were the only (long distance) game in town. Western Electric was their manufacturer, and the equipment lasted forever.

Now look at what we've got - cell phones that might last two years on a network that is far from 100% reliable - and we put up with it and pay a pretty penny for it as well. Technology isn't always the answer...
