I like Cthulhu as much as the next person, but sometimes I'm not in the mood to have my sanity sucked out through my eyesockets as my soul is devoured.

This is for games that you would like more if there was less Cthulhu involved.

It's not the quantity of eldridtch evil that counts, it's the quality. Maybe a little less, but higher-quality, Cthulhu would improve this game.

We all know that Knizia's games all used pasted on themes. Couldn't this have been about fairies or butterflies instead of Cthulhu?

I´m a real Cthulhu fan, but I think I won´t buy this game simply because Knizia designed it. I´m pretty sure that no cthuloid feeling whatsoever will be in this game. "Abstract strategy" bah!

Considering the crap that Twilight Creations usually puts out, I will not be seduced again by nice plastic miniatures and theme ("Dante's Inferno" was enough). Reiner Knizia is the reason that makes me very interested in this game. The cover art looks quite bland, though.

That...is a totally disturbing image. I think I need to watch "Wild Things" again to get rid of it.

Why do I have a feeling that Buggy is, in fact, an avatar of Nyarlathotep spreading insanity amongst mankind?

Of course, even if you take out the Cthulhu theme, this game would suck.

I don't know if I'd go quite so far as to say "suck". There are some interesting and clever mechanisms at the heart of the game. But the Cthulhu theme totally wrecked it.

Huh!?

There are hardly games with such an innovative theme (stock car racing + Cthulhu mythos); do you have no sense of humour? shake

Funnily enough, these were all games that I was going to add to the geeklist about games that need MORE Cthulhu.

Well, they would have done that, if more geeks watched SNL.

I like the idea for this list. Let me alter the space-time continuum and make a list of my own that parodies it. Be back in an hour ... done.
