Erik Warnes (unixrevolution) had initiated the BGG chain of generosity which has been going strong since then. Unfortunately, global mail prices can be quite high, probably making the list a little uninteresting for non-Americans (though a few do regulary participate in the chain). With this GeekList I'll try to play my part to make a similar chain avaiblable to all Europeans (thanks, Jack (anglotiger), for the suggestion of a seperate GL!). Over the years more generous Geeks started different chains and we currently have the following running all across Europe:

Original Chain of Generosity and Pay It Forward Chain (Board Games / more largish game offers)
Woolly Shrubbery Chain and The JAGGY Chain (Board or card games)
Shane Chain and The Shane Chain - part deux (Board or card games)
Original Card Game Chain and Second Card Game Chain (Card games only)
Game parts, Miniatures and Small Expansions Chain (as it says-should fit into a stuffed envelope or small box)
The Delicacies Chain (local sweet or salty treats plus something gaming related - needs to alternate between countries)
The ALEGRIA Chain (only for kids, youngsters and party games - no problem if the adults like them, too)
The JOGO EU Chain (board games, card games and anything gaming related) (JogoEu blog)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rules (shamelessy but with thanks copied from the global chain):

RULES:

1. You must comment to the item in question indicating you wish to be in the drawing to recieve it in order to be eligible to win.
2. If you win one, you MUST post a game of your own to give away in this fashion. If you don't like that idea, don't play. Please do not wait until you receive your win before offering a game of your own - its all about generosity.
3. Set a deadline of around 5 to 10 days.
4. In the event that no offers are made on your game within the deadline, try a different game in its place and set a new deadline.
5. If you wish to start a new chain, post an item to the geeklist and put "SEED" in bold in the description. For those later in the chain, identify which chain your game belongs to.
6. Sender pays shipping, unless he indicates in his entry that the recipient will and under what grounds (International shipping, etc). Anyone signing up to receive an item where recipient pays shipping agree to do so.

AND NOW HAVE FUN SPREADING GENEROSITY AROUND EUROPE!

Previously on THE WOOLY SHRUBBERY CHAIN....

"And the winner is..... SoLove".

"Huh, what?"

"Dude, you won".

"But it's BGG, I never win anything. You should probably redraw to get the appropriate result".

"Ummm... ok. So the winner is.... SoLove... again. Sorry dude, you're getting a free game".
---------------------------------------------------------------

So it's my turn to put something up and I've chosen the Queen small box game ROBBER KNIGHTS. It's in very good condition, it's also in German language but the game itself is language independent.

Or if you don't like the idea of that. I can offer a copy of

RAT HOT

It is shrink wrapped and English language.

I'll pick a winner on my birthday, Wednesday October 26th at around 9pm GMT.

Good luck!!!

A bit late but birthday exploits are out of the way.

OK two people are in and I'll use BGG's inbuilt randomizer-anator (a d20).

Game Parts, Miniatures and Small Expansions Chain

Sorry guys, completely forgot I was in charge of this until cuazzel's parcel fell through the letterbox this morning.

So, what can I find among my game part storage containers?

Take you choice of one of the following:

d10-1 A selection of surplus parts from HeroQuest. Includes 2 Orcs, a fimir, 5 goblins, a zombie, a spare wizard and - for some reason - two dwarves. Also assorted furniture and spare doors.

d10-2 A set of sporting dice games: golf, snooker, cricket, soccer. I'll throw in a set of poker dice as well.

d10-3 A set of plastic chips, with denominations 10,50,100 from Head-to-Head poker:

.

d10-4 An ornamental dragon figure from Toru. Good start player token for any oriental-themed games you might have. Also included - a variety of chips from the same game (about thirty divided into six 'suits')

d10-5 A couple of surplus game boards from long-deceased games. Ideal for designers who want something to paste up on.

d10-6 Four printed and laminated copies of Roll Through The Ages: The Late Bronze Age expansion.

Open until 6th November

.....AND WE HAVE A WINNER!

In the 4th race, an exciting head to head between the red disc (Leonardo) and the blue one (manuele) while the black disc (me) was well behind cause I went out at the first turn left.
On the last straight it was the Red disc that could easily win, but the hit was a little too short and on the very last second the Blue disc crossed first the finishing line!!!

And Meuterer will go to FIONA! :-)

Just GM your address and the game will be sent as soon as possible!

SEED: Something got to go!

I have to downsize my collection for various reason. And so I offer one item as a GfGG (Hive), one here, and all others via this Geeklist (here). My earnings of the geeklist will partly go to the Deutsche Krebshilfe e.V., but of course also partly to the BGG.

Since I don't want to wait to give this game away till I win one of the current chains, I hereby seed a new one, but don't expect the chain to be continued. If the receiver of the game chooses to do so, he/she of course may, but I believe that we have enough chains to start an additional one.

Item: Scotland Yard

Language: German rules, but as you all know this is language independent in game, and the rules are pretty much known to everybody.

Condition: The box is okay (one corner was taped with see-throu tape, the game is in good condition and is (despite many other copies) absolutely complete.

Shipping: Since this an item for generosity, shipping within the EU is of course free for the receiver.

This item will be drawn on November 10th. At a random time. Comment to this item to enter the draw.

Closed - The Delicacies Chain -

Since I won the chemical glow in the dark sweets from Finland I will offer the next person some Dutch Sinterklaas treats.

Closing date: November 14th

For my own reference:

Rules of The Delicacies Chain:
Quote:

Select a delicacy and send it to one of the people, randomly chosen, who say 'IN' in the comments.

Make sure your delicacy is something that isn't widely available and won't spoil in the post!

To keep this legit, you need to include something that is used to play games: a small expansion, a deck of cards, a few dice would all be fine!

For the purpose of international brotherhood, all links in this chain are to be international, so don't go in for something if you are from the same country as the sender. Equally, don't go IN if you are not prepared to deal with the higher cost of shipping.

The delicacy, and the gaming item, do NOT need to be advertised in advance. This one is about surprise. Post one of the thousands of games about food as the Geeklist item.

For the purposes of customs, the sender needs to be responsible for any customs charges or confiscations. Don't blame me if your marinated shark's fin doesn't get there!

6 kids want to get a gift from Sinterklaas:
#6 Fiona
#5 Andreas
#4 Tyler
#3 Benjamin
#2 Beate
#1 Kreikkaturkulainen

Let's get a regular d6 now?....

It's a 6! Sinterklaas will sent a gift to Fiona!

Since I won both the JAGGY and the Something got to go chains, I thought I put both together in the same post. So here we go:

the craziest of all chains: the JAGGY chaaaaain!! offers the lovely Adlung game:

Im Auftrag des Königs

plus

The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring

or The Settlers of Catan: the Card Game (GERMAN EDITION!)

So, you'll get Im Auftrag des Königs plus one of the other 2

For the Something got to Go! Chain I'll offer the following:

the beautiful Fantasy Flight Games take on Inkognito the Card Game

or

the very nice card game, Njet

If you're in, please post which chain (or both) and what you want me to send you!

Winners will be drawn on the 20th of November! Good luck!

The offer will be open until 29 November as I am away next week.

******************* Update ******************

As I let my daughter choose the last winner, I thought it only fair ro let my husband choose the next. He chose to allocate one third of a circle to each potential winner and then spun a bottle. It pointed to Cuazzel! Congratulations.

And the winner is Pedrator!

It's my turn again, first of all with the

The winner is drawn on 07.12.2011 (around the same time the German Maths Trade ends) and may either pick

Emerald

or
