For those of you new to this list, I originally posted this list back in 2006 as a way to let my Santa know when I receive my gift without him/her worrying about divulging their identity. The list has gone well in the last two years and I am curious how large it will grow this year since there are around 1000+ participants this year (529 items in 2006, 874 items in 2007). This is a pretty good place to view the gifting as it progresses through the holiday season, so enjoy!

Use this as a central area to record what our Secret Santas sent us. When you post on this list, you may want to make a note on your profile so your Secret Santa knows to look on the list for your receipt and reaction. That way your Secret Santa can look to see if you received your gift and you can post any comments you may have about the gift here and you can reply without the identity of your Secret Santa ever having to be released!

Please only make an entry when you actually receive the present!

If your Santa sends you more than one item, just list them all in one listing unless you think it makes more sense to list them separately. Remember to include any comments you want your Secret Santa to know!

I don't know about anyone else, but I generally obsess about whether a package has arrived at it's intended destination. I drive my wife crazy with checking tracking numbers constantly! So it will be nice to see when those gifts are actually received by the giftee (or are they just sitting unclaimed on the neighbor's porch?)

To see how the previous two years of Secret Santa-ing have gone on those year's versions of this list, look at these links:

EEEEeeeeee!!!!!

It's here, It's here!

Oh, I'm not opening it, not yet. I'm having it wrapped in the box that it was mailed in. All I wanted for Christmas is a game that was a surprise and a surprise it shall stay. Thank you Santa!

I'll post a picture after I open it Christmas morning!

Edit: Oh what a treat! The whole story is coming but a quick update here for recordings sake: I got Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear! – Russia 1941-42 which is hugely generous on it's own, but...

Citadels as well. My heart is humbled by your generosity santa! Thank you so much!

I know this is unusual, but I've felt bad about this all year.

Last year, I posted about the gift that my Secret Santa got me. He even replied. It was Notre Dame.

What I neglected to do was post when he sent me ANOTHER game and this was a VERY unexpected surprise.

When I first joined BGG, one of the first things I did was search for a game from my childhood that I remembered. There wasn't a lot I remembered about it, but lo and behold, I found out that game was Chopper Strike.

I didn't remember much about the gameplay, but I remembered how cool I thought having a multi-level playfield was.

On a whim, I put it at the top of my Wishlist, never expecting to get it. I honestly never really even thought to look for it as it seemed to be a game that would be lost to time.

Imagine my surprise when I got another package last year from my SS and it was Chopper Strike! Very surprised, very appreciated. It was exactly what I remembered.

It hasn't been played a lot because we're rarely split into two groups or have a lot of time for two player games, but still, I love that I have that game in my collection.

I know I could put this in last year's GeekList about SS, but I wanted to make sure that my SS07 got the credit he/she was due and say THANKS! for all to see.

I had not originally intended to open my Present right away, I wanted to savour the Christmasyness of it all.
Santa had been dropping a hint or two about what package he was trying to get past the mounties.
The day I got my message from Santa I was out with some friends I had met boardgaming, and we were talking boardgames, when I get a phone call.
From my FLGS... (yes Boardgames rule my life )
Telling me my Preorder of Descent: Tomb of Ice was in, and when did I want to pick it up....
So now I have to figure out if the hints I was getting were true by checking the package before I head to my FLGS (my special order for Galaxy Trucker was also in)

So I get home that night to find a Postal delivery slip in my Mailbox telling me I have a package to pick up.
...
Go Figure.
Bright and Early the next morning I'm at the post office ready to see what's what.
The little old Post Office lady brings out this huge freaking box with my name on it.
O.o;
Not what I was expecting, I read the label, contents boardgames... okay all good.
Quantity: 4
o.O;

Now one of my sudden problems is, I Have to carry this monstrosity on my long walk home...
The post office marm sees the look on my face, and offers to help me open it and give me a Bag to carry the contents home.

So right there in the Post office I open the bad boy up.
After peering through the snowing pile of Styrofoam on top I find:

Attika
A game I have never even heard of!
Rio Grande, euro looking Game, can't be that bad then

quickly underneath we find:

the Uber Prize!
Yeah! ToI!

Now for the hard part, it said 4, but I can't seem to find anything else, So I begin sifting through the peanut thingies with no Idea what I'm looking for.

Wait... something hard...

Circus Flohcati
Another game I've never heard of, but My experiances with games in this style of box have always been good So I'm pretty sure I can trust this one
The postoffice Marm is still looking on in fascination as I pull all these out on her counter, this one in particular she picks up and begins examining

Now... one more eh?
let's see what we can find...

No Thanks! ?
Didn't I mark off on the Geek that I already have this?
...
Oops...
Ah well, now I have two, and this one with all the pieces as I've seem to have lost a few of my first copies in a few bar room and late night Denny's sessions.
But it is also shrinkwrapped so I will probably just find a deserving soul and pass on the joy that is No Thanks to another generation.

So all these into the bag they went, and off home I did skip loaded with Boardgaming joy and goodness.
Thanks Santa! I hope the Mounties Didn't give you too much trouble.

Wow!

I had received two smaller, wrapped packages (that still remain wrapped, yay for willpower!) from Santa and I come home and there's a big honker of a box waiting there.

Needless to say, I WAS NOT expecting War of the Ring, since it's more expensive and HEAVY. This will certainly see some game time during the holiday break! I'm not sure I could be more excited!

Santa, you are the best! Thanks!

In december one of my gaming group has a tradition there we play games a whole day (from 10 in the morning to 2 in the night)!!!

I was going to meet my friends and play, but went to the post office first since I got a note in my mailbox that a package had arrived.
I tought it was something I had ordered for my kids, but to my big suprise it was from my Secret Santa!
I know you Santa just had sent me a mail that my package was on the way, but I didn' expect to get it so soon

I was so excited and could hardly wait to open the gift! My 10 minute drive to my friends felt v e r y long this day
Finally I got there, and I was very happy when I could see what I had received; San Juan and:

Race for the Galaxy is one of my favorites, and now I'm looking forward to play this expansion!

Thank you very much my Canadian Santa!!!
I wish you and your family a merry christmas !

Ok, a package has arrived a couple of days ago. I still haven't opened it (of course), really wondering what it can be, although the Secret Santa mail I received might have been a clue. Or a red herring. I guess I'll find out in just over 2 weeks time

EDIT: I have now opened it, and really look forward to getting to play Arkham Horror again, but now with the expansion. Thanks, Secret Santa!

I got back from a week on the road (very happy to be home) and had a box from Boards and Bits waiting. Thank you Santa!

Under normal circumstances, I may have waited for Christmas Day, but seeing my wife and kids again, it was only fitting to open the package and find not one, but two games high on my wishlist. Santa brought Leader 1 AND Race For the Galaxy.

Both will be played a great deal through the rough Ohio winter.

Thank you Santa - you were extremely generous. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Many thanks oh secret one for your generousity it was very kind.

Now a cuationary warning for everyone making want lists next year. If you have the base game and the expansion on your want list make sure you add a note for your SS to see so they know. Don't worry oh great Secret One I am in the mist of trade negotiations for Race for the Galaxy so your presents will all get played eventually. Again thank you I do apreciate the gifts very much.

Well it is actually a brown box.

It came from my wonderful secret santa who may have some elves located in CT. I admit it has been rough but I said I would hold out and I instructed my target to hold out so I really should practice what I preach.

It does sound like there are several boxes inside but none appear to be the shape of monopoly. Which is a bonus

I will update when we open it....oh the pressure!!!! shake

Thank you Santa.

**UPDATE**

CHRISTMAS IS AWESOME!!!!

Thank you Santa you are totally great. I opened the big box and found four great games.

First the letter I received from Santa.

"HO HO HO

Santa was most influenced by your desire for some excellent 2-player games. I hope you can forgive Santa (totally forgiven!!) for eschewing the exotic choices on your Wishlist in order to present you with some of the finest 2-player gaming experiences to be had anywhere.

Santa recommends proceeding in this order:

1. Lost Cities

Everybody's spousal favorite!

2. Carcassonne

A fine game in 2-player mode or with up to 5!

3. Jambo

An exotic, yet simple 2-player game.

4. Pecking Order

Just a bonus game that Santa happened to have in the workshop.

Santa knows for a fact that games 1,2 and 3 are generally well liked by significant others. I hope you find that to be true.

Merry Christmas!

Secret Santa"

WOO HOO!!!! WOW THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

'She' even indicated that Lost Cities and Jambo looked fun. WOW maybe I can even get one to the table very soon. Thank you Santa.

Several of these I had been thinking about but had just never pulled the trigger and now I own them all!!!

I really love this whole Santa thing!!!

I had some guesses but all of them were wrong. Sometimes its good to be wrong. Oh it was hard seeing this box sit in the kitchen for the last few weeks...but oh the payoff was really great. Thank you Santa...you are my new hero...whoever you are!!

I received my package from my secret Santa. Inside was 3 gifts with exact instructions on when to open the gifts.
The first gift was the '98 Falcons, Broncos, and Vikings for second season football. This one I could open immediately. The next gift was a small package that could be opened on December 6th to celebrate St. Nicholas day. This turned out to be the battle for hill 218. Looks like a neat 2 player card game. I can't wait to try this one out with my wife.
The 3rd gift isn't to be opened until December 25th, so under the tree it goes. Can't wait to find out what's inside the colorful paper!
Thank you to my secret Santa for putting so much thought and effort in to this for me.
You rock!!

Oh, Santa, you are the awesomest!

I was feeling depressed and broke at work, when the mailroom guy comes in with a BIG box. Since I knew *I* hadn't ordered anything (see "broke" above), my face lit up instantly.

"I guess you know what this is, then."

"Yeah, a prezzie from Santa!!!!!"

I put it beside my desk. Unopened. For, oh, at least a minute. Was about to post a mystery entry. Then realized I always open presents whenever anyway -- so why not? RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!

End of depression! First, a big layer of peanuts. Hmm. Digdigdig ...

Big box! (Big cold box, it's freezing here.) Ta-Da! Vegas Showdown! Awesome!!!!!! Been dying to try this!

Lots of room left in the box. Digdigdig -- note from Secret Santa. Awwww!!! Digdigdig ... and ... a small box ... oh my God ... Sticheln! Sticheln!!! I OWN STICHELN!!!!!!!!!!!! (I love this game, and have only played, or even seen, it online.)

Something big under Sticheln. Oh, Santa, I love you. It's ... OMG ... Manhattan! (The game in my BSW house, which I've ALSO never played FtF.) And now it's sitting in Manhattan in my office!

Santa, you utterly rock! Thank you for brightening my day/week/month/year! {{{{giant virtual hug}}}}

I drove up to Broomfield CO today, after receiving a phone call from Dave Jones at Time Well Spent last week, telling me I had a Secret Santa gift ready to pick up.

These are the two games I received from my Secret Santa. -- Excellent choices, SS! Thank you very much!!

Both games were on my wish list. I'm always looking for good games for 6 players, and these are both designed for up to 7. Perfect! Dave tells me his family has enjoyed both of them very much, so I'm really looking forward to bringing them to our game table.

Thanks again, Secret Santa, and Merry Christmas!

My Secret Santa had to do a bit of extra work to get a physical address out of me (no chimney in my PO box) and even though he kept me posted about when the package was going to arrive I wasn't expecting it. He shipped it through a semi-local retailer, coincidentally one that I had just received a package from the day before. So when the box arrived what I was thinking was, "I don't remember an item being left off of the order, I wonder what was missing." I figured it out fairly quickly after opening the box and finding Mykerinos as well as Pandemic.
.
Thank you Secret Santa. You exceeded my expectations.surprise

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

My Secret Santa gift arrived today from Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

Two wonderfully wrapped gifts now sitting under my Christmas tree....

I made a vow this year not to open my presents early and will update this post once Christmas has arrived.

Thank you for being so thoughtful Santa. I'm looking forward to playing my new games.

Just got Knizia's Samurai from my awesome Secret Santa!!! I've really excited to play it in person, and now that I've punched it out and bagged it, and played with those cool little figures, I'm even more excited. This is the perfect thing for me this holiday season!

Thank you so much Secret Santa, whoever you are!

What's more, I've received a couple of cryptic hints about another game... what will it be!? I'll post more here once I know!

Just got part 2 of my amazing Secret Santa haul! Santa sent me a package, all beautifully wrapped... but I couldn't wait, and since it was my Birthday yesterday I went a head and unwrapped a copy of El Grande!!! I have been wanting to play this game for a long time, and thanks to my generous Secret Santa, I will be very soon! Thank you Santa!

P.S. As for Samurai, I have logged more plays this month than anyone else on BGG, just to give you an idea of how much I'm loving your other gift!

It's an Agricola bonanza! (Or would that be bohnanza?)

Santa came through with the issue of Spielbox magazine that contains the X-Deck, as well as the official Animeeples and Vegimeeples! I'm looking forward to playing my new tricked-out set.

Thanks Secret Santa!

(My only clue to who you are is that you don't like Agricola as much as I do. Well, let's see, that rules out David Fair and Melissa and...)
