The site www.abreojogo.com is the Portuguese encounter point for the boardgame addicts. A lot of Portuguese players are both BGG and AbreOJogo contributors, and we use a lot of BGG to keep track of stats and share our hobby with the international community, while we are on AbreOJogo to keep in touch with the national community.

You can see the current rank here. In this the AbreOJogo members that are also BGG members classify the games. In the last months the number of members has grown at a rate no one had predicted.

The monthly Gatherings of Lisbon and Oporto, as well as new groups getting together all around the country (Oporto, Almada, Aveiro, Oeiras, Abrantes, Coimbra and Bragança) just to name a few) have helped to spread the word of mouth of the boardgame players community. Every week we see new faces showing up, getting out, meeting new people and playing new games.

So without much more let's start it. This is the current TOP 100, with pointers to the last time I've collected this data (see geeklist: Portuguese TOP 100 - December 2008)
