I decided that I like Battlestar Galactica so much, I would like to run an online play-by-post session of it here on BGG.

I created a gameboard in Photoshop that will take snapshots of the game status. However, I will only post the Titles of cards drawn to accomodate FFG's request that all players own the game. More details about this game, images used, and all player commentary is located in this thread:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/392402

This Geeklist is only a summary of the turns. Feel free to add your own comments under each entry. If you would like to comment on the game progress, visit the thread.

And the president is in on it as well.
They are both cylons. And the Admiral as well. Frankly, the only one I trust at this moment in time is Baltar. And look, He's not there. Highly suspicious to me. I vote to put them all in the Brig.

Don't trust him too. He's a Cyclon. Heck everyone is a Cylon...

Is that a Cylon flipping my burger?

What about the homeless man across the street? A cylon too, perhaps...

And I bet my bottom dollar that our wives are cylons (but they are more like sleeper agents). Ever seen them early in the morning? And the way they grunt "Morning honey. Coffee?". Coffee my foot. Most probably they're slowly poisoning geek-kind.

And what about our hyperactive kids? Is it a secret ploy by the toasters to drive us up the wall and to an early grave?

Everyone is a cylon. Trust no one. Heck, I don't even trust myself...

I'm sure that those watching will have plenty to say about this move, as the other players have. Let me just say that, in my experience, the first basestar has proved to be very little threat in most my games in BSG, and my main priority was maximizing actions. Giving Zarek 4 Yellow draws give a good chance of at least 1-2 Investigative Committees, which could save us many, many cards in the next few turns. At the time I ordered, I was standing on Weapons Control and was waiting for an ExecOrder so I could fire twice to make sure I hit the basestar, rather than trusting the entirety of my turn to one die roll.

Plus, if I was a Cylon and this is as obvious an evil move as some of the other players seem to think: would I really be interesting in revealing myself so soon? And if I was, don't you think I would have done so on the Executive Order I just received so that I could take a Cylon action on my turn?

Wow, reading the thread. I'm surprised at the reaction. I've now played 21 times and I can think of shooting at a 'Battlestar' less then half a dozen times TOTAL in all those games. Rarely, do we see fit wasting shots on that and prefer just to jump away from them and take out the raiders that can actually move the dials. As the raiders aren't in position yet to destroy anything, I can see bringing more skill cards onto the table.

Plus, if someone is worried about you shooting, the best is for them to EO you to double your shots and not for you to activate yourself and get one shot.

Although the President taking 2 or 3 quorum cards into her hand instead of 4 skill cards might be a little less cylony at this stage in the game robot

See, that's why I thought. But evidently my group and I go about things differently than others.

Quote:

If the President had been someone other than Roslin, I would've EO'd them so that they could use the President's Office twice, but I think getting Investigative Committees early can make a huge difference.

Of course, now we've gotten more Cylons on the board and the basestar is firing AGAIN so I'm looking worse and worse for it. :P Oh well.

Her turn was next where she could draw back up. So, the card thing was only somewhat a worry. But, that's why I said 2 to 3 cards. Remember as Prez she can draw a card as a action without activating the location. So, she could draw 2 quorum cards and not discard any skill cards if she had skill cards worth holding on to.

As far as the basestars, see you jumped away from them. No problem.

Wonder what Boomer put on the bottom when all those cylons showed up?

That was one of the main reasons I wanted to do this. I thought a visual representation of the board, turn by turn, would look neat. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it but I think it looks good nonetheless!

I see in the above image, the Piloting Skill deck is 11, when it should be 9. Apollo drew 2 Piloting cards but I missed it on the graphic update (the Master Excel sheet is correct). I don't think I am going to update it since I already started updating the next turn. But I wanted to point it out in case it confused those playing along at home or thought I had carried forward the error.

Wow, now that I see the spoilers, Roslin really kept the food situation from getting much, much worse. :( Things might have been very different if we hadn't brigged her!

Interesting - certainly makes Zarek look like he's above suspicion, considering he put the extra work into springing Boomer from the brig.
