OH Canada! Eh!
-
Time for some old-fashioned Canadian pride.
This is a list for games desgined by good-old Canucks
Feel free to add -- there must be MANY more.
Or comment if I have games here which do not fit
I know there are other games which have a Canadian connection, but often created by Americans or Europeans.
* NOTE as of March 27, that is the list I have access too, anyone with other insights please let me know I can add, or you can add as well.
I hope this is seen as an interesting and worthwhile resource that brings Canadian designers together in one Geeklist
BIG THANKS to Sean Ross for a designer list
GENERAL OBSERVATIONS (a list based on gut feeling):
Most Successful : Trivial Pursuit
Best game : Crokinole based on longevity, and skill needed
Biggest Surprises : A Game of Thrones and Shadowfist CCGs having a Canadian connection
Hottest games : Interest in Wasabi and Genji both appear high
Canadians like abstracts : Omega Chess, Dragon Chess, Proteus, Micropul and Par-K all VERY good abstract games, in fact Omega might be best Western Chess variant there is.
Not a surprise : We like hockey games
