This list is exactly what the title implies. A lot of "unsung" games don't attain the necessary ratings to get ranked. (For those who don't know, if a game doesn't have at least 30 ratings on BGG it does not get ranked.) So here you can have a moment to sing the praises of a game that less than 30 geeks have bothered to rate.

Note = If you don't know how to find this information, just click on this link and then put your username into the address bar where it says "XXXX". Then just go to the end of the list and you will find all the unranked games that you have rated (their rank is listed as N/A.)

Second Note = EXPANSIONS DO NOT GET RANKINGS, DON'T INCLUDE THEM ON THIS LIST UNLESS THEY HAVE LESS THAN 30 "NUM VOTERS".

I've started with mine, please add your own...

It took me some time to find an unranked game that I rated and I liked. It's astonishing how many games passed 30 ratings by now.

This game is a spiced up version of dominoes by Sid Sackson. It was first mentioned in his Gamut of Games but there is a published version by Franjos available as well. I play this every once in a year and it's always enjoyable although the maths needed to calculate your score might turn some away.

This was a great baseball simulation from 1977. Actual players, die rolling, a precursor to Pursue the Pennant and games of that ilk. Sure, it was no Statis-Pro or APBA, but it was a great launching pad for kids wanting to get into the stronger stats driven games.

It's a fun game that I'm glad I have in my collection (and it's a pity it's not rated here on the Geek)

This game could be considered the precursor to Wits and Wagers. The questions are similarly phrased with the answer being a number and whoever gets the closest scores the points. There's also secret and open guessing rounds so for open rounds you can use the strategy of "squeezing" someone. (John answers 5, Mary answers 6, Bob answers 4 essentially keeping John from scoring)

This works great as a travel game also. My highest rated unranked game at an 8.

One that seems to split opinion. 10 ratings; 4 rate at 8 or over; the other 6 rate at 5 or less .

I rate it an 8, I suppose it depends what you're expecting to get out of the game. For me it's an easy to play football solitaire game, that gives realistic results.

A roll and move kids game with magnetic boats and treasure chests. You are trying to collect 10 points worth of treasure and the treasures are secretly marked 0-3. There are opportunities to send monsters after other players ships, or steal their treasure. The 3D board really hits the theme for me especially with the translucent overlay that lets you see "into the ocean".

While this isn't something that GAMERS(TM) will sink their teeth into, it is a fun diversion and certainly one of my first choices when I'm having to entertain kids.

While not the most compelling game in the series (Clue and Monopoly solidly hold those honours), it is definitely a game worth looking at.

It's like a very lite version of Roll through the Ages.
While the game itself is not perfect, it would make a good starting point for a very excellent game.

This is an intriguing roll and move game with a "push your luck element".

The game could easily be rethemed to American Idol and have much broader appeal.

Essentially, you roll to move around a board to collect "votes" from the judges to perform an audition. Once you get to the audition, a player rolls a die and you get to select values to try and get points. If you manage to guess around the face value of the die, you can continue guessing. The winner is the first player to get 7 points.

While not a staple, this is a fun game for me and the theme appeals to me very much.

Fits in the old wallet nicely, and pretty well in a hunk of Cheese too...

Yeah, its a recuiting tool for the US National Guard, but it is actually a pretty fun little game when all is considered. Good gameplay and effective card draw. Still involves a lot of luck, but with some house-rules that can be quickly neutralized. I'm planning to write a review and some variants...sometime.

I designed several games with various level of success. Two of those are available on BGG as free print and play downloads. Of those It's All Chinese to Me! is my favorite. It is fast, fun, has lots of theme and scales well from 3 to 5 players. Go check it out. It's easy to print and is low-cost on ink (being mostly white). If you try it and whether you love it or hate it, please rate the game. Cheers.

Really Enjoy?

Ok, I went though nad realized most of them rated 8 and above are expansions.

I have two that aren't expansions. But, they are Warzone: Universe Under Siege and Chronopia: War in the Eternal Realm, which are miniature games and really don't 'fit' around these parts.

If I go to the 'kinda' likes I pick up one more miniature game Void 1.1.

And two board games. The Game of Life Express as mentioned above and this board game.

Although I've only played it once or twice. I should play it again. It's really just a take that race game. But, it's cute and can be a little fun.

I really enjoy Rapscallion! It'a a card game where you are using numbered cards to bid for playing cards, then using the playing cards to bid for more bidding cards. The end result is to have the best poker hand. Sound confusing? It's not. I taught it to my gaming group and we had a very enjoyable 5 player game. I look forward to playing it again. And, it does have an average rating of 6.33, so it seems to be well liked by the other 25 who have ranked it.

This is one of my favorite games to play with my wife. There are a number of incarnations including Marble Pursuit and Joker Marbles, but I know the game as Pegs & Jokers (even though my set uses marbles). I was able to find a nice wooden board set with matching marbles. Toss in a few decks of cards and you have a solid game fun for gamers and non-gamers.

Very low quality cards and a bit expensive but it's a solid well balanced farming card game. Played it a few times and there's always seemed to have been a run away leader but there are plenty of cards and events to balance things out in the end.

Basic idea is that there are land cards and crop cards. Each land card has a sun level and a moisture level. Crop cards have a range of sun and a range of moisture that they can grow in. Crops also are food crops or money crops. Food crops can be sold for money or used to give actions. Money can be used to buy new land and crops..and is also the victory condition. Each turn all crops planted add a new chip and you have to decide if you should harvest or let them grow. Harvesting costs food...but if you don't harvest someone may play a card to steal or destroy your progress. Then there's truly nasty cards that change the whole climate and may make your crops not grow on your fields anymore...fun times

Draw a card that has a few items on it, such as a racecar, baseball glove, and space shuttle. Then blindly reach into a container that has 40 or so small items, and you have to extract the items on your card, identifying them solely by touch. Oh - and you have 30 seconds to do so. Great fun had by gamers and non-gamers alike whenever we play.

This is an old, old game that I played in graduate school (OK, I'm an old, old guy). It's only got 5 ratings, but is a deep, deep game which scales from fairly simple to quite complex, and two players up to six, and everyone's involved all the time. I've always thought this abstract is one of the great games. It simulates the scientific method as well as anything I've seen.
