This is a charity auction to help a little girl named Cici Fischer.
Cici’s dad, Matthew Fischer is on BGG (mfischer). In October 2008, at 11 months old, Cici choked on a piece of diced canned fruit. Even though her mom did CPR right away and called 911, Cici suffered an anoxic brain injury, which means that her brain was deprived of oxygen and parts of her brain died. She is now severely disabled. Her parents are hoping that a range of treatments, including sessions in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber (see picture below of Cici and her mom), will help.

I don’t know the Fischer family personally, but Matthew happened to briefly mention the situation in a post one day, and when I asked, told me the full story. I was very touched by this, especially as a parent of a young child with special needs (autism). I asked his permission to do this auction and tell Cici's story.
I am hoping to make this the biggest charity auction ever on BGG. UPDATE: Done! We raised $10,386 and 25 Euros!
All the major online game stores that advertise on BGG (except Funagain - it's not too late!) have contributed. I would love to see lots of donations from BGG users too. Please consider games, or even other items such as DVDs, comic books, or video games. Geekgold is always popular too!

HOW TO BID:
1. Please read each entry carefully for shipping instructions. Most games donated by BGG users will require you to pay the shipping cost via Paypal. Some users/stores will ship the game for free, some require part or all of shipping costs.
2. Place a bid in the comments section in full dollar increments.
If you need to retract a bid, edit your comment; do not delete it.
3. As per BGG policy, the winning items must go through the BGG Marketplace. Octavian has granted this auction an exemption for the retail stores and publishers donating items. BGG users who donate their games will list their items in the marketplace at the end of the auction, which benefits them as they can give and receive positive feedback, and everyone has a record of the transaction (and you can apply to Octavian for a reimbursement of the commission).
4. Winning bidders will receive a geekmail with instructions to buy the item in the marketplace. Once it's bought, they will receive an email on how to send payment.
Payment may involve two separate payments:
a. Payment for the game via Paypal to Cici Fischer Fund, or a money order to Matthew Fischer, and
b. payment for the shipping cost, if applicable, directly to the BGG user/store who donated the game.
Other option: Those of you who want a tax deduction must make a payment directly to the Rocky Mountain Hyperbaric Association and specify the Cici Fischer account. You can deduct the amount over "fair market value" of the game. For example, if you make a donation to RMHA of $70 and receive a game with an MSRP of $40, you can deduct $30.
5. When Matthew indicates payment has been received, I will contact the donating store/BGG user with winning bidder address.
NOTE TO BIDDERS OUTSIDE THE U.S.:
Please bid only on gift certificates or on those items which specifically state they will ship outside the U.S. If it is not stated, it is understood the user/store will ship only in the U.S.
HOW TO DONATE A GAME (or other item):
First of all, thank you!
The default condition is that the winning bidder will pre-pay you for shipping costs via Paypal. If you want to ship for free, or if you prefer another form of payment other than Paypal, please state that.
Simply "Add Item" to the list. If it's a non-game item, select "Game" called "Outside the Scope of BGG".
Please use the following format:

This little gem is brand new and still in shrink. It is in pristine condition, with no box wear, and the plastic shrink is unbroken. It is the exact edition pictured, and has text in English, German, and French on the back of the box.
I will ship this free to anywhere in the U.S. Anywhere else, I will pay the first $15 to ship by the USPS method of your choice. Since I live at an APO (U.S. military address), I can ship free to military bases in Korea, Germany, Japan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I heard a rumor that I can ship to a military base in Australia, too, but that's still unconfirmed.
If I understand correctly, I have to pay the BGG commission as well. That's fine with me.
