While my notes show about 2 dozen gamers throughout the evening, Mid-town Crepeville didn't seem that crowded. Still, the usual variety of games were played.

As usual, fill in the blanks and goofs.

My first game of the night. This was one of my more efficient games. I resisted overpaying for slots and got a good lounge/slot engine going, supplemented by a couple of basic restaurants. I was able to fill the casino slots with a couple of Sports Books. My playmat had a little bit of everything-filled casinos, restaurants, connections between the two, good cash and population and some bucks left over for a pair of VPs. Still, Don's big ticket locations and the diamonds and 3/4 diamonds carried him to the win.

Dwayne, Karen, Greg, and 2 others built their Alhambras. According to Dwayne, this was an "everything and the kitchen sink and the oven" version with ALL of expansions 1 and 2 in play. Yowzah!

Not to worry, Pandemic was just an appetizer. The Pandemic crew quickly got down to serious business in Catan.

Shadows over Camelot was underway as I left. Karen, Dwayne, and several others attempted to save Camelot (or not, I don't know if a traitor was in play).

DK knows what I like. And with my gaming few and far between, 5P El Grande will scratch most of my itches. Don was new to the game, but with 4 vets and a quick study, this promised to be a ruthlessly cutthroat contesting of Medieval Spain. The game did not disappoint in the least.
I've been trying to get better caballero management, and overall my flow was a lot better than usual. That said, I airdropped my Cabs from the castillo into a very crowded Valencia to no avail. In round 3, Scott managed to lock up a bunch of cabs and hose me w/ the mobile scoreboards.
This was sort of a Dick Dastardly (of Wacky Races fame) game for me-close second in the first round, solid lead after two, leading most of the way, only to stumble and run out of gas at the end. Still, a great play of a great, great game. Thanks one and all.

Most of the really nasty hosage Intrigue cards didn't come out until round 3, so this was a very strategic game of placement, more so than I am used to.
