Well, first time to meetup in a month and all I got in was 2 games
Too many long games, too many "I'm not up to learning" games, meant too much time playing pocket pool. So I kept track of the others and called it an early night. Still, 24 folks got their games on in various forms. Since I left early, I KNOW I missed out on some later action. Details please.

Joe, Lori (?) and 3 others took advantage of the relatively cool, calm (e.g. delightful) weather to play this classic euro at one of the OUTSIDE tables. Gotta say being able to play outdoors as Sacto walks by is just too cool for words.

With most of the 6 players being n00bs, DK led a learning set and then settled everyone in a rousing game of BSG. Details of who was who and who was Cylon, please.

With C&K at a comfy quartet, Honoree and Angel elected to sit out and play this classic abstract instead.

Well, I DID in fact get SOME gaming in. Nick, Vicki, and Bryant were looking for a quick boardgame, and were willing to let me teach them my fave 'go to when you got 40 minutes' tweener. Nick quickly caught on to using two colors as wild cards to do well in the house scoring. Vicki glommed on to the 'finish second to get points w/ little effort' and also worked the emissaries pretty hard. Bryant focused on houses. Nick also managed to get a couple of roads going. As for me, I dabbled in houses, but with new players took advantage to secure emissaries.

Nick admitted that like most area majority games, it takes a play or two to really wrap one's head around the various options. Vicki, with her strong emissary presence definitely appeared to enjoy it more.

With Puerto Rico finished, Joe and Lori were looking for some RFTG action. I HAVE to play this more than once every 3-4 months. Joe and Lori, frankly, left me flat-footed in the dust. Starting w/ Epsilon Erandi, I half-heartedly tried a military strategy. I really didn't get much of anything going, but gamely gave it my best shot.
