This list was inspired when I noticed the following chain:

Princes of Florence, Princes of the Renaissance, Age of Renaissance, Age of Steam.

I thought, "How long could such a chain be?" Let's find out!

Rules:
1. Only TWO "significant" words per game title. That's TWO! Zwei, dos, deux, shtayim, dva, due, iki, a pair, a couple, a duo, 2, II, ii.
Two shall be the number of significant words, and the number of significant words shall be two. You shall not add games of three significant words, nor shall you add games of one significant word, except that you shall go on to add a second significant word to the first. Four significant words is right out.
1a. The word "game" cannot be used as one of the linking words. It's OK if a title has the word "game" in it, but ignore that word. For example, if there's a game called "The Chartered Accountant Game", the two significant words are "chartered" and "accountant".
1b. If a game has a subtitle, that can be ignored if necessary, but try to avoid it.
1c. Just like the word "game" doesn't count, the phrase "card game" shouldn't count either. If there's a game called "The Dancing Squid Card Game," the two significant words are "Dancing" and "Squid". "Card Game" is ignored. Likewise "Boardgame" and "Board Game" can be ignored. And everything else like that.
1d. If a person's name is included in the title because that person designed the game, or endorsed the game, or has his name on it as a marketing ploy, or is somehow associated with the game because of another work from which the game was developed (such as a novel or video game), ignore the name. For example, "Xaviera Hollander's Happy Hooker Game" has only two significant words "Happy Hooker". Likewise "Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ: The Collectable Minatures Game" would also have only two significant words "Passion" and "Christ". "Washington's War" has two. "Trump: The Game" has one.
2. Any number of "insignificant words" can be in the title as well. They're easy enough to ignore. By insignificant words, I mean words like: the, of, a, and, an, for, with, to, etc.
3. The linking word must have the same form in both titles. It cannot be plural in one title and singular in the other, for example. A word cannot be possessive in one and not in the other, for another example.
4. Each link must use the other word than the one that was used in the previous link. In other words, if the last two games were "Squids and Lampshades" and "Poetry about Squids", then the next game must use the word "poetry", not the word "squids".
5. No game or game title can be used more than once. If there are two games with the same title, only one of them can be used. Use the better known one, or the one with the better picture. In the comments, there is a master list of all the game titles used to far, which I update periodically, so you can see all the games in one place without having to page through the whole list.

There is now a new Wiki page that contains the entire list, so you can easily look to see what games have been used before. Here it is: Game Chain

6. There is NO rule six! Yet. I may add additional rules to clarify.
This really isn't too hard, so follow the rules.

Guidelines:
1. Take it slow. Try not to post too rapidly, causing two or more people to add simultaneously, thus creating branches. Then I'll have to go back and delete items, and I don't want to do that too much. I don't mind the effort, but I don't want to make people feel bad when their items get deleted. The idea is to make a single-threaded, long chain.
2. Try to use games that aren't too obscure. The better known the game, the better.
3. Try to use games that have pictures. What's a geeklist without pictures?
4. The idea is not to stump the next person, the idea is to keep the chain going as long as possible. Leave a not-too-difficult word for the next person.
5. Feel free to "steer" the chain in the direction of your favorite game(s).
6. Feel free to write whatever you like in the items. Just because I didn't write much, doesn't mean you can't.
7. There is now a Game Chain wiki that you can edit and add on the game(s) that you've added, so it will be easy to see them all in one place and tell which ones have been used before.
8. If you're using an alternate title of a game, try to use an image that displays that alternate title, when possible.
I have bolded the rules that have been violated so far. I don't want to bold any more of them! Follow the rules!

Where will we go 2

Hmmm. I chose Robinson, seeing the chain thru Freitag 2. Now I notice this game was published in 2013. I am worried it might be renamed or removed and ruin this chain. But actually, any game can be renamed, so I guess I shouldn't worry.

My first entry on this GeekList, having only stumbled upon it yesterday. I am another refugee from the Common Feature Chain GeekList.

This game has a German word and (possibly?) an Italian word in the title.

Edit: and for anyone concerned about the third character in the first word of the title, it is called an "Eszett" and does the same job as a double "s".
