I'm a day early, but I can guarantee that I will not be playing any games today, so here is this month's list.
Pandemic: On the Brink is out and saw a lot of play the last week of the month. I was also able to play some older games which haven't seen the light of day in a while, which just reminds me there are so many games I would like to play more often but I just don't have the time to play them all!
In September, I played 29 games 73 times with six expansions ringing up 43 "plays" on the Geek. Four of the games and the aforementioned On the Brink and were new to me and I played nine of the games in August.
Here are the games is alphabetical order, according to their default name in the BGG database.

A four-player game with Kyle, Michael, and Dave. Dave hadn't played before but was still in running for the victory which ended up being Kyle's.

Another game without using any of the expansions. This time it was to teach Dave, who had never played before.

Played for the second time. I made a couple of well-timed playings of the Master Builder and scored a lot of points and ended up with a fairly easy win.
I still haven't played on the winter side of the board and would like to try it out in an upcoming playing.

This time around we played scenario 11, Hold the Line which has a small American force, which is supported by a broke down tank, trying to hold off an SS attack.
His set-up and the objectives forced me to concentrate on the left since I didn't want to be destroyed by the tank's HMG and main gun. I was able to move into position and slowly wear out the Americans. I made a dash with a unit to grab the objective on the top of the hill and that unit was able to harass his reinforcements and keep them from retaking the objective as the game came to an end.

Mike and I played our first scenario from Expansion Pack #3: The Roman Civil Wars. It was Roman versus Roman in the Sucro scenario which had Pompey facing the rebel Quintus Sertorius. I managed a win 6 to 3, but this was in large part to Mike not having the cards to counter my flank attacks.

I won the month 3-2, which leaves Christa and I tied at 30 with three months left to go in 2009. I had a couple of big wins so I took over the point lead and am 37 points ahead of her.

Matthew and Amelia hadn't played this before, so while everyone else was killing off the population of the world while playing Pandemic, we played a couple of games.

I prefer playing just one round over the three rounds that Lost Cities: The Board Game is set up to play, plus the components go with the expansion, so I also picked the expansion up and played both.

This is one of those expansions which really should just be counted as a separate game, so when I log it I will be logging it as a game played on it's own.
I really do like how the intertwined paths work and it is a better game than the basic Keltis.

The board hurts my eyes, but the game is really good and I picked up a copy.

As is almost always the case, I played Modern Art: The Card Game. This month, we played with the right rules which makes the game even better.

Before the expansion came out, Christa, Michael, and I kept beating our heads against the proverbial wall of disease until we beat the game on the fourth try.
Once I got my hands on Pandemic: On the Brink I cracked it open at the store and I Christa and I played a couple of games, one each with the Mutation Challenge and the Virulent Strain Challenge and we beat it both times.
Later games did not meet with the same level of success and we eventually played with both challenges. I really like the additions to the game and can see playing with them from now on.

Every playing of this generates two expansion playings and that artificially inflates my stats.

It looked like I was dominating the entire game, but when we counted the points up at the end, Mike had handily won the game.

Fun, but not worth all the hype. Move, spawn, roll dice. He who rolls the best dice wins.

Dave had three or four of the longest caravans yet I still managed a win, primarily because I enclosed a couple of large areas and made a lot of oasis connections.
