Welcome everyone to the December Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. Thanks Blott for the amazing Idea and thanks everyone who took part last time.

These are the Rules

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post both RPG Items and Boardgames.
6. The item must be draw before 31st of December 2009

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them

How to find the winner?
You can use any fair method you like, like putting the names on a hat and drawing it.

created an wonderful application that you can find here. It is very simple to use.
1. Got to the url by clicking here.
2. When you mouseover on the number of your item, you get a URL like this
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/46332/item/1043139#ite....
Your item id is the number after item, in this case it would be 1043139
3. As for bonus, for now the system can only work with given 1 for a given number of . For example, every 5 gets you 1 bonus.
4. You can limit too the amount of a user will be able to use to enter the contest

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Winners and Drawn Items
I will keep an item as the first item on this list keeping a link to all already drawn items and the winners so it is easier to check.

Doesn’t seem to be of interest to my game group…

Wow, overcoming the odds. If bonus entries were factored in, then the odds were even worse. Congrats.

Of course, you are correct.
Sol's app doesn't show the total for entries plus bonuses, but it shows the odds as 0.18%.
Inverting that, we get the odds against cedric18 as approx 555 to 1 !

My experience is like some of the other high entry participants.
I could have an 80% chance of winning and still miss my saving throw. Errr... still not win the item.

Still, I'm looking forward to see what else shows up in these interesting little diversions...

Time to find a way to fund my new habit of playing the lottery. This is my first entry, so I'll keep it simple:

Condition: Mostly new - been played twice. All parts are in tact and the box is in as-new condition.

Honestly, I like this game, but doesn't seem to be of interest to my game group or the wife. If I can't play it, why let it take up space when someone else could be enjoying it.

Shipping:
Shipping will be free in the US, I will cover the first $20 worldwide.

Entries:
1 geekgold per entry (tip this item, not the list...)
Every 5 geekgold tipped gives you a bonus entry (so 5 becomes 6)
No limit on how much a person can put in.

Closing Date: Monday, December 14th
(Sometime in the morning after I get to a computer)

Draw Method / Notification:
Will use Jeromier's tool.
The winner will be announced promptly and a geekmail will be sent to him/her to obtain shipping address, etc.

EDIT: We have a winner:

The second most popular game can be yours for one GG per entry!

yes I know some people will argue that it is the most popular game but that there's an Agricola conspiracy blah blah blah..

The game is open.
The game is a dent and ding.
One corner of the box has been slightly crushed and torn. Slightly? Well, maybe a little more than slightly but not by much.

The components inside are mint and unpunched.
Why unpunched?
Because when I bought the game I didn't realize it was a 3 player game!

And unfortunately a large portion of my friends are drunks who rather hang out in bars hitting on morally corrupt underage girls.

Wait, tell me more about these morally corrupt underage girls...

Anyways, this is yours if you are the lucky winner.

Shipping is free in the US. International geeks will pay shipping minus the first $15 which I will float.
Drawing sometime on New Year's Eve afternoon or evening so you'll have an excellent start to your New Year!

I reserve the right to edit this multiple times including adding free international shipping if this turns into a GG goldmine or adding bonus stuff laying around in my garage as a sweetener....

Edit:
By popular demand for every 5 entries you'll get a bonus entry. So 6 for 5 GG.

Edit #2:
For every 100 GG put into this lotto I'll donate $10 back to the BGG website.

(this on top of my donation to get my 2010 BoardGameGeek Patronage badge)

Edit #3:
If the winner has a 2009 BoardGameGeek Patronage Microbadge I'll throw a bunch of extra stuff in with the package (probably non-gaming material, music, etc related to my hometown). Don't have a 2009 BoardGameGeek Patronage Microbadge? Get it here and support the site:

http://boardgame.geekdo.com/support

Edit #4:
I'll cover International Shipping if this hits 500 GG

This is an open copy (I think that it may have been shipped without shrink), but never played. The pieces are still sealed in the bags and the box is in very good condition.

No limit on entries, every 5 will get you one bonus entry.

Drawing will be an as yet undetermined random method sometime on Dec. 26, because I don't want to go anywhere near a post office before Christmas.

Shipping will be only $5 free in the US, actual cost minus $5 anywhere else in the world.

EDIT: If this makes it over 100 GG, US shipping will be free. Done.
If it reaches 200 GG, worldwide shipping will be free. Done.

Congratulations. I will send a GM shortly.

What's up for lottery?
Okay, so I kind of made a mistake, but I should have known better. In my last lottery offering (160+ Warcry Cards), I threw in a stipulation that if the lottery actually went above 50, I would pick a second winner to win half the pot. Well, the entry stagnated at about 40 for nearly a week, and so I thought I was fine spending my GG on other lottery drawings (including Angry Duck's fun little Secret Santa one). Little did I realize that the fine and generous Angry Duck would push that entry - at the last moment, nonetheless - up to 50, thus requiring me to draw a second winner to receive half the pot.

Problem is, I already spent all of my GG!

So, in order to "make due" on my promise for a second drawing, I need to raise some Geekgold of my own. Modding won't earn it fast enough, and I don't have enough time to write reviews and sessions. Instead, I offer a copy of Modern Art for lottery!

Condition

The game is in great condition. The instruction booklet says "Copyright 1996, 2004 Mayfair Games, Inc., and is written in English. It is the same box as what is pictured here. The player screens have not yet been bent/folded, so it is clearly unplayed.

When?
This will run until December 27th, and I will draw the winner sometime in the late afternoon on that day.

How much to entry?
1 entry for each tipped, with an extra "bonus" entry for every five . I will use random.org to choose a winner.

How will I send it to you?
I am feeling generous, so shipping is free worldwide. Besides, I consider it a pain in the butt to have to worry about collecting cash from anyone, especially from someone not in the US. So free shipping. Happy Holidays!

And there is more?
Ha! Not this time! I learned my lesson on doing "freebies" and "incentives" on my last two lotteries. If the response is overwhelmingly positive, I may edit later.

EDIT: Edited to show content and year of production, since it has been asked a few times.

Thanks to everybody!!!

This is the FF version of Citadels, so it includes the Dark City Expansion. It appears as if this is the "small box" version.

FIRST SWEETENER MET!!!: There will be a second winner who gets 10% of the pot.

SWEETENER:
With just about a week to go, if this pot reaches 200, I will award a second prize of 10% of the pot. If the pot somehow, someway, reaches 300, I will add a third prize of another 10% of the pot.

Condition
The game has been played with once and is in excellent condition.

Shipping
I will cover the first $10 for shipping (in the fastest mode possible under that amount), to anywhere in the world. Anything over $10 (or if the buyer wishes for something like overnight shipping that pushes it over $10), can be paid via Paypal. The box should fit into the USPS small flat rate international box, so international shipping would be $3 via PayPal.

Closing Time
This auction will close on December 16th around noon eastern time.

Rules for Entry
One Geek Gold is good for 1 entry and 5 GG gets you a bonus entry.
The winner will be drawn using the application found here http://www.castelodelego.org/sol/item.php .

Good luck and thanks for bidding.

Edit 1: Fixed typo...added international shipping information...added "small box"

Edit 2: Added sweetener.

Edit 3: Updated sweetener kicked in.

Not real surprising, since he contributed 50

Also, because of his 50 tip, he will receive a bonus of some sort!
I'm not saying yet what it is, because I haven't decided yet.

Thanks to everyone that bid for supporting the Gaming Hooplas efforts to support the ACS!

Up for lottery are five (5) of the Cancer Awareness "Ribbon" Dice that are pictured here. These dice are made by Koplow Games from Boston, MA. They are gorgeous dice, 18mm in size with PURPLE Ribbons for cancer awareness.

I plan to sell the that this generates for cash, and the cash will be donated to the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life Teams that put on the twice annual Gaming Hooplas in Lake Geneva, WI.

The winner(s) will be chosen on Sunday, December 6th (so I can get them to you in time for Christmas if they are a gift,) at 10:00 pm Central Standard Time.

1 per entry, enter as many times as you wish. I'm not going to mess with the bonus entry stuff.

Since it is for charity, and I am unemployed, I am asking that the winner pays shipping. The dice aren't heavy, so it should be very reasonable to anywhere in the world. If this item reaches 200 shipping will be free to anywhere in the world.

Escalators:

As mentioned, 200 and shipping is free to any location.

For every 200 beyond that, I will pick a second (or third, etc.) winner for another set of 5 dice, again with free shipping.

If this reaches 1000 I will pick 6 winners, and ship free to all of them.

If you, as an individual, tip 50 or more and win one of the drawings, expect a bonus of some kind. I will not tell you what it is, but it will be worth your

Thanks for participating, and good luck!

EDIT: Changed shipping and extra drawings thresholds from 250 to 200

There's nothing wrong with that! Thanks for contributing so much !

By the way, we purchased 400 of these to sell at our Gaming Hoopla conventions...not only does the money from us selling them go directly to the ACS, but the manufacturer, Koplow Games, donates a certain percentage from all their Ribbon Dice sales also. Double Whammy on cancer!

ITEM CLOSED.

I just realized that with the games I anticipate coming in for Christmas that I'm going to have to clear out some more space. My loss will be somebody's gain, as a way to free up some shelf surface in a hurry is to part with this big ol' box.

CONDITION:
This game is brand new, never opened and never played. It would make an excellent Christmas present, and I will end this lottery early enough (Dec. 13) that Christmas delivery within the continental U.S. should be possible.

ENTRIES:
1 GG = 1 Entry. Every multiple of 5 GG grants a bonus entry (So 5 = 6, 10 = 12 and so on)

SHIPPING:
- To start, I am limiting shipping to the contiguous 48 united states (which I will cover).
- If the lottery reaches 100 gg, I will ship anywhere if the winner pays full shipping costs
- If the lottery reaches 175 gg, I will cover the first $10 of International shipping
- If the lottery reaches 250 gg, I will cover the cost of shipping anywhere.
- Additionally, no matter what the bid total is, if an International bidder won and also worked out a mutually agreeable trade based on our trade lists, I would of course cover the shipping price of this item + any items I would be trading.

DEADLINE:
Lottery Ends some time between 7-11:30 p.m. Central Sunday, December 13

EDIT:
Just a reminder, this lottery ends SUNDAY evening. So, just a few hours left!!! Good luck

ITEM CLOSED.

As with the Battleground War Chest above, this game is going to have to go to clear up some shelf space for my anticipated Christmas haul. I thought my son's love of Star Wars + my nostalgia would cause us to play this game from my childhood often, but there are other SW themed games he's taken to better.

CONDITION:
This vintage game was purchased new in the shrink wrap two years ago, so it is in very good condition. All pieces have been assembled and it has been played only 2-3 times. Note the paint jobs on the minis for this game are legendarily awful. That's not wear, that's the original ugly. To balance that, the pit/barge pieces are awesome when the game is assembled for play.

- If the lottery reaches 150 gg, I will cover the first $10 of International shipping
- If the lottery reaches 200 gg, I will cover the cost of shipping anywhere.
- Additionally, no matter what the bid total is, if an International bidder won and also worked out a mutually agreeable trade based on our trade lists, I would of course cover the shipping price of this item + any items I would be trading.

DEADLINE:

ITEM CLOSED.

Howsabout something for the card game lovers? The centerpiece of this lot is a new standard game set (2 decks, accommodating 2 players) of Mythos, the original Call of Cthulhu-themed Collectible Card Game.

Sweetener:
However, the winner of this lottery will also receive TWO starter decks for the original Warhammer 40,000 Collectible Card Game -- One Space Marines Deck, and one Eldar Deck. The image below is the representative image in the BGG database, and the Space Marine deck pictured is the same as the one I am offering, but the Eldar deck is not pictured.

Repeat, I am offering one Space Marine Starter and one Eldar starter, NOT all four starters in the picture.

CONDITION:
Mythos starter is brand new, never opened and never played. It would make an excellent Christmas present, and I will end this lottery early enough (Dec. 13) that Christmas delivery within the continental U.S. should be possible.

The Warhammer 40,000 starters are opened but never played. All boxes, rules, etc., are intact and included.

ENTRIES:
1 GG = 1 Entry. Every multiple of 5 GG grants a bonus entry (So 5 = 6, 10 = 12 and so on)

SHIPPING:
- To start, I am covering shipping to the contiguous 48 united states.
- Bidders outside the lower 48 would be required to pay full shipping costs.
- If the lottery reaches 75 gg, I will cover the first $8 of International shipping
- If the lottery reaches 125 gg, I will cover the cost of shipping anywhere.
- Additionally, no matter what the bid total is, if an International bidder won and also worked out a mutually agreeable trade based on our trade lists, I would of course cover the shipping price of this item + any items I would be trading.

EDIT:
Clarified listing to better relay that one winner will take ALL items in this lot.

DEADLINE:
Lottery Ends some time between 7-11:30 p.m. Central Sunday, December 13

EDIT:
Just a reminder, this lottery ends SUNDAY evening. So, just a few hours left!!! Good luck

I will be sending Vixen 3 games, some goodies, and a $35 gift certificate to the gaming site of his choice.

I will also be making a $50 (I rounded up) donation to the American Cancer Society tonight!

Thanks everyone for bidding !

[geekurl=
][/geekurl]

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY CHARITY AUCTION

What's up for grabs?

A $25 $30 $35 gift certificate to a board game website of your choice (or an international game site if the winner is outside of the USA). The more GG this auction brings in, the more generous I get!

EDIT: If this auction goes over 600gg I will up the gift certificate to $35!!
Done!

PLUS: 2 3 games!!!
1)Blue Moon

I have only opened and played Blue Moon once. It wasn't my thing, but it'll make someone out there very happy! It is like new in the box, and includes all necessary game components.

EDIT: Instead of putting in another game at 500gg, I am putting in another game now that this auction's hit 400gg.

2)Dracula

Dracula is another Kosmos 2 player game. It has only been played through once and is in like new condition. All of the components are as they should be and everything is in baggies

So, this is for charity?
Yes! Every 15 gg this auction brings in, I will donate $1 for the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. You can find information on the organization here: http://www.cancer.org

3) What the F*ck?

This is a party game capable of playing over 100 people at once. I've never played it, but the box is opened and all the pieces are intact.

BONUS:
If this auction goes over 500gg, I will gladly add another game from my personal collection to the prize, specifically another Kosmos 2 player game. DONE!!!

If it goes over 700gg, I will add *another* game. This one will be a party game capable of playing with a large number of folks. DONE!!!

If it goes over 1250gg, I will pick a 2nd prize winner to whom goes 10% of the gg the auction brings in.

SHIPPING:
As always, domestic shipping within the USA is FREE! I will be glad to chip in the first $10 towards international shipping, and if the bid gets high enough I may just have to raise that a little

AUCTION END:

I will be ending this 12/15 at 10pm. This *should* give me enough time to get the game/s out to the winner for Christmas, but due to the holiday postal craze, I *cannot* guarentee this.

Edit: WINNER SELECTION: I will be using *dundundun* THE TOOL! To find the winner/s, and will be posting the results up here with a screenshot.

** Give your GG to a good cause!!! **

EDIT: Edited specifics on 12/5. Added another game to the auction, and lowered the bonus requirements.

It's like the Gods of Chance are mocking us this month - there have been a ton of people winning with less than a 10% chance in auctions where one or two people have cornered the market.

I'm just glad to benefit from Lady Luck's capricious nature tonight.

Just a few days left! Bid your hearts out!

Auction will be ended after I get out of work on Tuesday:
Auction ends Wednesday, Dec 16th at 1:30AM EST

- If the lottery goes over 1500 , 50% over 1500 goes to the winner, and 25% to the second place winner.

- If the lottery goes over 1000, 25% of over 1000 goes to the winner, and 25% of GG over 1000

Thusly, 75% of any proceeds are going away over 1500, and 50% over 1000, should there be a crazy finale.

First, I will note that I have no intent of making this a 6000+ Bohnanza . As such, I reserve the right to end this auction at any time before December 15th with three days' notice. I will do what I reasonably can to get the game to you before Christmas. If the auction pushes towards 2000, I will put a notice on here saying the end date, and give it a few days to finish. I will, at that point add on any bonus stipulations - for example, if it's at 1800, and I give it 3 days, I may say that 50% of over 2k goes to the winner, 75% over 2.5k, and any bonuses to the consolation prize. This will allow for finishing the auction at a semi-planned date without a bidding ceiling, while giving people a chance to win a nice amount of in addition to a game or two.

This is open to anyone in the world that can comfortably point me to an online retailer that will ship to their country at a reasonable rate, and a site that is navigable by me, an english/spanish speaker that could get around a site in most Germanic/Latin languages - though I may need some help in doing so. Use your own judgement - if you enter, I *will* get you a game (or two) if you win!

1 bonus for every 5 given. No limit on .

First prize
First prize is one game, shipped directly to you, brand new. Perhaps off of your wishlist, though I may accept specific requests, or requests to go off the beaten path with a purchase. Game value shall be commensurate with the auction value... if it gets quite high, you will receive a nice game, or possibly a second game. If it goes higher that, I will cut the auction off, and the winner will also take home a nice boatload of geekgold (say, it hits 2500 - the winner may find themselves with mucho and 2 games!

The winner of first prize is....

He gets 5% of the proceeds of the lottery (30GG), and a pile of small games. 'Grats!

There were a few minutes between the time I ran the first tool run and the second one. Someone tipped me 1gg during that time, after I had closed the lottery (and had edited with text saying it was closed). Due to their unfortunate situation, and the winner already having been informed, I shall return 10 to them as a consolation.

Consolation prize

The consolation prize is just that. A consolation. You'll need consoling if you win this motley lot of games...
En Garde!
Freeloader
Devil Bunny Needs a Ham
Devil Bunny Hates the Earth

I shall also include 5% of the total take from the lottery, and give you the option of some 5x7" prints from my collection. I'll ship these anywhere, the box shouldn't be very large. Note that En Garde is not the Knizia game.

Photos can be seen at jforbes.smugmug.com

I shall never use random.org again. I'm all about the tool now!

Jonas hasn't replied yet, so I don't know what color he wants, but he's getting a compact tower and a copy of RISK: Halo Wars.

That's the result on roll 135, if you want to check my numbers.

Congratulations to the winners! I'll be emailing you shortly for your picks.

I'm doing the drawing at 8pm, Central time. I debated posting that, because it looks like I'm trying to squeeze more last-minute gold, but I also don't want to shut it down if there's anyone still trying to throw in. So that's the only warning - 8 pm CST, I'm closing this down and pulling names.

I want this, real bad. I used to have this game, and traded it away, and now I kick myself all the time (the two may or may not be related). Anyway, in order to maximize my odds of winning Lance's copy of Nexus Ops, I need several hundred GG to dump into that lottery and tilt the odds so far in my favor that I have a ridiculous chance of winning. So I wandered around my office thinking, 'what do I have that people want?' And I saw lots of games, but couldn't think of any one of them that would bring in enough gold.

Then I had an epiphany - I could lottery my time, sort of. See, I run VixenTor Games, and I make custom dice towers. I've made a bunch. And so, the lucky winner of this auction will score himself a dice tower designed just for him, built out of wood, and covered with the sweetest graphics a man ever made (well, this man, anyway). To get a better idea of the kinds of wacky designs I can create, you can check out the custom tower page at my site:

Custom Towers by VixenTor Games

But I did mention I need lots of gold, right? And that means I need more stuff to auction. So to sweeten the pot, I'll include a game, so that you can use your fancy new dice tower. Depending on the kind of tower you want, and your personal preference, it will be one of these:

RISK: Halo Wars
DUST
Caledea
Dwarven Dig (the new one)
Pirate's Cove

But wait! There's more!

If the auction breaks 1000 (and I hope it does, these customs usually go for $300 and it did), I'll pick a second winner, who will get a deluxe tower of their choice (pick one of these) and a game to go with it (also from that list, though the first winner gets to pick first).

Let's shoot for 2000 then. We break 2000, and We broke 2000, so I'll pick a third winner who gets a compact tower and one of the three games left after the other guys pick their two. How do you like me now?

I tend to think 3000 is somewhat unlikely, but I do have more compact towers, so if there's a twist in the space-time continuum and we hit 3000, Well blow me down! We hit 3000! I'll pick a fourth winner for a compact tower and one of the two games left after everyone has picked over the ones listed above.

Well, blow me down. We hit 4000. I didn't that was remotely likely. But since we did, let's add one more prize. A compact tower and the last game will go to a fifth place winner.

So, to sum up:

First place wins a custom tower and their choice of one of those five games.
If we break 1000, Second place wins a deluxe tower and one of those five games.
If we break 2000, Third place wins a compact tower and a game (one of the three left after the first two guys pick their games).
If we break 3000, Fourth place wins a compact tower and a game (one of the two leftovers).
Fifth place gets a compact and whatever the last game is.

I'll draw the names on Christmas Day the day before Christmas, so that you know if you got an extra Christmas present. Plus I can use all the last-minute gold to dump into Lance's lottery.

And to draw the names, I'll use Sol's cool random widget.

So you want to enter a whole lot? I want you to enter a whole lot! 1 GG gets you 1 entry, with 1 extra entry for every 5. And if you're a gung-ho lottery fool, and dump 100, I'll throw in 100 entries more.

Sweet enough for you yet? God, I hope so. I really want that Nexus Ops.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, free shipping anywhere.

ANOTHER EDIT: I got a question on this, so I want to clarify - if you win once, you're out of the running for the next prize. So if you win the custom tower, I take your name out of the pool to pick the deluxe. In other words, if this does break 2000 GG, there will be three different people, each winning a dice tower and a game.

NEW EDIT: We broke 2000, so there's a third prize, and I just added a fourth prize if this goes over 3000. Like before, the same person can't win twice, so 3000 means four different winners.

ANOTHER NEW EDIT: Unbelievably, we just broke 3000, so there will be four winners. Thanks, Duck!

MIGHT BE THE LAST EDIT: Added a fifth-place prize because we broke 4000.

1. Enter as much as you want.

2. 1 GG = 1 entry, bonus entry for every 5 geek gold you tip.

3. Drawing will be on the 25th of December, when Santa lets me know who wins.

4. Shipping world wide is on me.

5. If you tip me even a SINGLE geek gold, you HAVE to geekmail me your address. This is important because...

6. When Santa lets me know who wins, I am not going to inform anyone other than Sol, our awesome benefactor. What this means is, you will not know whether or not you have won the contest until you get your package in the mail! Yes, I know you will get your gift after Christmas, but consider it a New Years present instead.

7. All gifts will be in wrapping paper, so if you enter more than one of my giveaways, you won't know which one you have won until you open it.

8. You will be expected to post on the entry after you receive your package, to let everyone know who won.

9. If for some reason, you would like the game to go to someone else as a gift, that is fine with me, just make sure you give me their name and address instead of yours. Also, let me know if you want them to know it was from you or not, and I will put that in the package. If you want it to go to someone else but you don't know their address, say, a geekbuddy here on BGG, I will track their info down for you if you want to remain anonymous.

10. Most of all, have fun and happy bidding.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask away. The above is subject to alteration if most of the community wants something altered. I am open to any and all suggestions.

Finally, I will be throwing odds and ends into each package - nothing major or anything, just random geeky junk I have lying around the house or stuff I have found in dollar stores.

ULTRA IMPORTANT EDIT

It has come to my attention that some of you are wary in giving out your address to me with no guarantee of receiving a prize. While I assure you, I will not use you address for any evil intentions, I can understand your concern. Therefore, I shall offer up this addendum:

1. If you want to enter and not send me your address, that is fine. I will contact you after the drawing IF you win, and send you your gift. I only ask that you do not post your success until after you receive said prize.

2. All contestants that do provide me with their address prior to the prize drawing will receive a Christmas Card from yours truly, with a personal message within, and a limited, one of a kind drawing made by my daughter Rilyn.

OK, you done reading all that? This particular offer is for...

Wow - my group, myself included, did not enjoy this game at all. It has a lot of fans, just check out the comments here on the 'Geek, but I am not one of them. After trying to trade this one away for awhile (half-heartedly I will admit) I may as well give it to someone who actually wants it and will play it. Yes, I did write a savage review about the game, but I am convinced that there is a good game in this box, I just don't have the time to find it, and I doubt I ever will.

Good luck - happy bidding!

EDIT

I apologize for how long this is taking, I will not be drawing the winners until sometime tomorrow night. I just got done snowblowing my driveway and I am now inside, looking outside, watching it fill in again for the 5th time in the last 2 days. I am heading to the shower to combat the frostbite and then straight to bed.

For the time being - consider this offer OPEN and all tips will count until the drawing tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Wow, that's just the game I'm on the lookout for - I'm collecting Icelandic-designed boardgames, and this one is designed by Pétur Örn Þórarinsson from CCP.

I can hardly spend the money on this, here in Iceland it costs around 14000 ISK nowadays (that's $112) so I'll just spend some GG instead.

Now, let's knock some wood... 7, 9, 13

Cheers,
Gudjon

I ... um ... didn't like it.

I'd read the rules online, so I have no-one to blame but myself.

If I remember correctly, this included a promo figure - but don't hold me to it. All I'm guaranteeing is the base game.

This is the FFG edition. It's been played once before it was placed on the shelf. on which it still sits.

I will cover the first $15 of shipping worldwide. The remainder must be covered by the winning bidder, unless the lottery for this item reaches 50 GG.

Edit: We hit 50! Free shipping worldwide!

One GG = 1 Entry. No cap, but no bonuses, either. This helps those of you with some GG, but not piles of the stuff.

I know that at least three of you out there actually want this game ... right?

This item will close on the 23rd of December, whenever I drag myself to a computer to determine a winner.

ITEM IS CLOSED I will be posting a winner shortly.

Jeromier's Tool (Go ahead, snicker away) appears to be glitched - it tells me 480 GG has been received - I've received 481. Since I didn't want whoever tipped that that extra 1 to miss out on their chance, I headed over to the CopyCat Awesome Tool.

On the Gods of Luck spoke, and using their might powers of random generations they chose an winner. To check their bidding, click here. Below you can find glory on the winners name, let them have big praise.

There were a total of 1 for this item:

Tannhauser
With a total of 224 geekgold tipped, which gave him a 46.67% chance of victory, we salute:

I actually like this game. It is admittedly a triumph of theme over system ... but there's enough there that I still have fun with with the right crowd.

I probably won't win, of course, so it may not matter that I already own it ... but if I am fortunate enough to earn another copy, I'll be giving it to another one of my friends who enjoys the game.

To others that may be interested, but are put off by some of the negative reviews, I will point out that Fantasy Flight has acquired all of the Tannhauser IP and is rewriting the rules of the game to "fix" it and tighten it up. They're going to release the revised rules online for free when they're ready in 2010, offer existing owners the chance to purchase the hard copy of the new rulebook at a reasonable price, and of course include it in their revised version of the core set.

Based on what they did with 4th Edition Talisman, I find this encouraging. Your mileage may vary.

I'm hoping that by the end of the month, we'll be calling it AngryTorViking luck. Or maybe VixenUndeadDuck luck. UndeadDuckGames luck?

Thanks for the congrats, guys! Looking forward to those revised rules - I've played the original rules, and the game is fun, but wicked random.

No, it was his 48% (give or take) shot.

All he did was win two coin flips in a row.

My current GG total savings is pretty close to what he tipped on this item.

So we have a bonus each 5bag = 25

Congrats! GM sent!

This game is one of our (Collins Epic Wargames) upcoming releases, now available for preorder direct or through local game stores across the USA and Spain.

The winner of this lottery will receive a brand new in shrink copy with a signed and numbered box. The number indicates the copy you'll receive is one of the first 20 off the production line from our printer.

Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 is a fast-playing WWII card-based combat game that uses tactical squad-level Unit Cards and Command Cards to simulate combat along the tip of the spear, or Spearpoint, of the battle. Each 30-40 minute game is one intense and unique frontline combat engagement that features engaging cardplay, lots of tension, and hard-hitting strategy for two players.

For more information on the game, check out the BGG entry or the game's official page on the Collins Epic Wargames website: http://frontlinegeneral.com/html/spearpoint_1943.html

Shipping: Free, Worldwide

Entries: 1 per entry, multiple entries allowed. 1 Bonus entry for every 5 entered.

Closing Date: Thursday, December 31st at 9 am EST

Draw Method / Notification: Jeromier's randomizer. The winner will be announced immediately and a geekmail will be sent to him/her to collect shipping information.

Retail Value: This game retails for $29.95 USD.

Special Note: Not unlike a lot of wargames, this game is currently a P500 (Preorder) item. Once we collect enough preorders, we will send the game to production. You'll receive a notice when we go to production via Geekmail and e-mail if preferred.

Collins Epic Wargames Wishlist Lottery and Toys for Tots Drive.

We have a winner! See below!

I had so much fun with Secret Santa again this year, I thought it would be nice to spread some of that holiday cheer to a new target on BGG and to some less fortunate kids.

Winnings: The winner of this lottery will receive One Game from their wishlist, chosen by me, with a value of at least $50. This will be chosen and ordered from an online store as soon as the lottery ends to hopefully get it to you in time for Christmas.

Toy Donation: For every 100 bid on this entry until the closing date, I will buy a new toy and donate it to Toys for Tots.

Shipping: Free Worldwide!

Entries: 1 Entry per . Multiple entries encouraged. Bonus 1 entry for every 5 tipped.

Draw Method: I'll use Jeromie's randomizer.

Drawing Date: December 17th at 9am EST. This is to meet the pickup deadline of the local Toys for Tots program in my hometown. The toys will be donated no later than December 20th.

Note: Once the lottery ends and I've purchased all of the toys, I'll take a photo and post it as an edit to this item so you can see your transformed into toys!

Every kid should have a good Christmas. This year, your may get you a free game from your wishlist, but more importantly, you'll be putting smiles on the faces of some great children you'll never know!

Toys for Tots is run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. You can find out more about Toys for Tots here: http://www.toysfortots.org/default.asp

Merry Christmas from Collins Epic Wargames!

Edit: If you are one of the 100+ tippers to this item (there are a few!), at your option YOU may request the particular toy that I'll buy as a result of your tip! To do so, for every 100 you tip, add a comment and request a particular toy that is readily available in a store like Wal-Mart (examples: Transformers-related toy, Star Wars action figures, Hot Wheels cars multi-pack, etc.). I'll do my best to find that toy or something very similar and buy it, then donate it.

And the Winner is:

I got a package, yesterday, when I was at work. Of course, it went to the office, so I opened it up just a few minutes ago.

Inside, lurked Twilight Struggle and GIPF - the former being something I've wanted to play for a long time, and the latter something I quite enjoy to begin with.

Thanks a bunch, Byron

THIS EXHIBIT IS CLOSED!!!

Winner has been drawn - I will be sending this out later in the week, along with everyone's Christmas/Holiday/New Years cards!

Thank you all for your participation!

UndeadViking's SECRET CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAYS!

Happy Holidays to you all!!

IMPORTANT RULES BELOW! READ THEM BEFORE YOU TIP A SINGLE GEEK GOLD!

I am going to be offering up several items for the month of December, and all of them will follow these basic rules:

OK, you done reading all that? This particular offer is for...

It has been opened and looked at. but never played. Another two player game that will never hit the table, because when I play anything that is two player, it is usually War of the Ring (when I have lots of time) or Dominion (when I am just trying to eat up an hour or two). This probably won't get a ton of geek gold, but it should go to someone who will actually play it.

Up for grabs is the Munchkin promo card "Pegasus Steed" But that's not all! The winner will also get the last laugh!

...the Munckin promo card, of course, what did you think I meant?

And a second lucky winner will also get a copy of The Last Laugh Munchkin promo card.

I will do the drawing with jermoier's utilitiy on December 16th18th at noon GMT. Entries are 1 GG a piece, with a bonus entry for every 5 GG. Free shipping worldwide.

And since the Pegasus Steed is worth 700 Gold Pieces in Munchkin, I'll add the following sweetener - if the pot exceeds 700 GG, I will award 10% of the pot to the first place winner and 5% of the pot to the second place winner.

Edits: extended drawing one two more days. Only 149 TWO ONE more GG till The sweetener is activated!

Must be his lucky day! He won another item, too.

Opened, but unplayed. Free shipping in the continental US. I'll pay the first $10 of shipping elsewhere, with the remainder to be reimbursed by the winner at 10 GG per $1. Drawing open till noon GMT on December 16th18th. Entries cost 1 GG each, with a bonus entry for every 5 GG. Winner will be selected using jeromier's utility.

Edit: For every 100 GG of entries, I will cover an additional $10 of shipping outside the continental US. So, if it reaches 100 GG, I will cover $20 worth of shipping outside the continental US.

(Edited for typo)
Edit: extended drawing one two more days.
