No doubt those of you who have supported Games Workshop in the past by creating files for use with their games will have noticed they are all being deleted from BGG at the behest of their lawyers.
So here's a little paeon to the games that I spent many hours creating rules summaries and reference sheets for that are no longer available here. They're still at my personal site, but I don't imagine they'll be there for long.
No doubt they'll be more items on this list before long.
If you are interested in my opinion of this kind of activity, check out the latest entry on my blog at www.headlesshollow.com.

...well, well, well...how about that. My uploaded file of a copy of the rules has vanished.

Somehow, the stuff I uploaded for Necromunda has stayed ... so far. I wonder why the big push to eliminate fan-created aids?
Just when I start really liking GW again, they always go and do something to remind me that they can be quite jerky at times.

To tell you how far reaching and bizarre GW has gone with this they are now even going after tattoos connected to their games. From their own website in the legal section it reads
We cannot allow tattoos as an acceptable use of our IP as a third party necessarily has to perform the "service."
So if any of you have a Warhammer tattoo on your arm you'll doubtless be hearing from GW's lawyers soon with a cheese grader so they can eliminate your infringement on their copyright.

Dark times are coming - let's hope we're allowed to use the word 'games' for our hobby in the days to come.

Our annual Mordheim campaign (name used without permission from the other ones ), we played each year about 2 months around christmas, is cancelled. Now we're thinking of playing Das Schwarze Auge or V.I.P.E.R. campaign.

I had both of my files for Inquisitor removed. The first was a 1-pg list of character actions. The other was a blank character sheet that I made myself (different from the one in the rulebook).
{Edit: for clarity}
I'm sure that not a lot of people on this site were using these documents regularly, but back in the day when we played this game a lot, the action list was an essential aid. This is a good game for doing a man-to-man "shootout" using a detailed rule set... sort of like Gunslinger in the 40k universe.

Manowarplayer's great list gives us all excellent inspiration to politely inform Games Workshop of our displeasure.

Another free game previously downloadable from GW and also included in a White Dwarf issue. All files are gone (Pics are still there, so you might be able to work something up).
I have been meaning to create/build a copy of this. Lucky I downloaded what I needed so far.

It seems I have lost some quick reference sheets for this game as well. I very much doubt that the stats contained can be copyrighted. Certainly no art or text was copied.
I might also add that this game is 20 years old/OOP and superseded by Warhammer Quest (Also long out of print).
Exactly what are they protecting?

ZimP Variant: Space Hulk in my Pocket
Had made it to #80 in the Hot Files List in little more than a month. This game simply took place in the 40K Universe and utilized massively altered images of official items. It played using ZimP rules, not Space Hulk rules.
The worst thing this game did was act a gateway game to Space Hulk and other 40K based games ... Most lawyers can be quite cranially challenged.

I might have been more sympathetic to a corporate decision to remove certain material from a third-party website had the corporation not already posted all such all such aforementioned material for free on their own website.
Such was not the case with Battlefleet Gothic, where all fanmade material was completely removed, most of it being assembled from the PDFs on GW's Specialist Games tab. Such was also the case for Necromunda, Mordheim, and Inquisitor.
So what, GW, can you simply not stand the idea of someone else being a benefactor to your potential customers?
