Noah is my 4-month old son. He was born on August 10th, 5 weeks prematurely and it was discovered that he had a Jejunal Atresia (which is a completely closed portion of his small intestine, as if it had been crimped off by a crimper) and a Malrotated Volvulus (which is a fancy way of saying a twisted piece of intestine - in his case it was nearly a 720 degree twist, which is normally very serious. If it were twisted even a half-inch more, large portions of his bowels would have been without blood supply and he probably would not have survived very long after birth.) Thankfully the skillful surgeons at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis repaired his damages. However, after a few weeks at the hospital, it was recognized that his Liver was not at all functioning properly - it wasn't processing and draining out Bile and Noah's direct Bilirubin was climbing. They did a Cholangiogram (which is a scan and flushing of his Liver) to determine if he also had what's called Biliary Atresia (there's that word - I've grown to loathe it). Biliary Atresia is basically a blocked or non-functioning portion of his Biliary Tree, which is all these minute pathways or pipes, if you will, that allow and help his Liver to process and drain Bile. It's extremely rare for a child to even have both a Jejunal Atresia AND a Malrotated Volvulus let alone to also have Biliary Atresia. Anyway, they had a 3rd surgery to perform a Modified Kasai procedure. A normal Kasai Procedure is where they take a portion of his intestines and attach it to his Liver, past where it isn't draining to where it might be draining, to help his Liver sort of cheat and drain Bile regardless of the damage. In his case they performed at less-potent but perhaps easier (on him) modified version where they use the Gall Bladder to help drain Bile. Sadly, after coming home for 2+ weeks finally, his test results were heading the wrong way and our specialist had him go to a new surgeon, one of the best at Kasai procedures and after a consult with him, it was decided to go in, remove the wimpier version of the Kasai and do a full-blown one. A Kasai is really just a delaying tactic to help a child grown a lot more before eventually (in most cases) needing a Liver transplant, which Noah will most likely need at some point. So he's now resting at the Amplatz Children's Hospital (not to be confused with the Children's Hospital chain, this one is tied to the U of M) before returning home. Some of his early test results seem to already be showing some improvement so we're extremely hopeful that this procedure may already be working, to some extent.

Includes the unopened Swamp map. Card deck also unopened, everything in great shape. Except that the box has a small semi-circular indent/tear on one of the long-sides of the box. It's not that deep but it does exist.

It's the Party Box edition -- opened, but in excellent condition. Cards all nice and crispy, and I counted EVERY SINGLE ONE to make sure they were all there.

I'll part with this, because it's for a good cause.
This is the earlier edition (pictured at left) and the box is not in very good shape, but the contents are just fine. The board is the fold-out version (not the puzzle-piece version) and it does have a drip of wax on it from use. (Yes, the candle's been used, too. But it's just a tea light -- available anywhere.) But everything else -- the trees, the dwarves, their hats and beards -- perfect condition. The hats and beards have not been glued on the dwarves.

First edition, pieces are FINE, the board is warped but when placed under plexiglass its fine. This is the copy I traded for locally to play while I waited for Z-Man to have a 2nd print run to send me a replacement for the original one I bought (literally so soggy the entire game was a write off).
Anyways, its complete and it works with a bit of plexiglass.
