This year is over, not a bad one for new wargames. There's a lot of good stuff set for release next year and I'm probably not the only wargamer here that has a "must have" or two on his gaming radar for 2010. I'll post mine, you post what wargames and/or expansions you're looking forward to the most in the upcoming year.

BTW if it's a foggy number of pre-orders with no set date for your anticipated games make your own educated guess on whether or not it will be published and post away.

And here's hoping TK2's sister game makes it too!

Hard to make a "fun" PTO game as the sides are so imbalanced. Be interesting to see how Decsion Games handles it...

This one is near the top of my list for next year. I really like MMP's IGS line of games. Warriors of God is a great game with lots of flavor. Kingdom of Heaven looks like more of the same with the cards added to the mix.

I've read the rules for KoH. From what I've heard about Warriors of God, it's nothing like KoH. Yeah, both set in medieval times, but that's about it as far as I can see.

I had forgotten about this. The crusades is dying blush for a CDG. I hope it's multiplayer.

Edit: After looking, it's not multiplayer, but it still looks good. A good multiplayer game (where all factions are truly independent and willing to work with other "religions") would be great too.

Now. Who's going to design that, huh?

Now if we can get enough people to pre-order Flying Colors, I could have an exceptional year playing re-printed games.

This one has been in my top 3 for awhile. With the recent announcement of changes being made, it's dropped some on my radar. Still interested, but other games are moving up the latter now...

I will be paying a lot of attention to it.

If game play is streamlined as promised, well play tested and keeps in line with the high quality components of its younger brothers then there is no reason not to reach for the wallet in a few months when it comes out. Probably among the top 3 for 2010.

I've been following the playtesting and AAR and must say that this is exactly the wargame that I've been waiting for! Europe Engulfed with a more streamlined combat system, innovative resourse management, and incorporating a CDG system to boot!

Also, the map and components are looking fantastic as well. Hopefully, the finished product will deliver.

Very excited about the possibilities...this one can't come soon enough!

I received an email from Miku Games about a month ago and they have reached their pre-order numbers and trying to do the final edits, map layouts/proofs and hope to have the game released by October 2011, but this was tentative at best. I hope this helps!

I think it is interesting that half of the games listed so far (10/20) are GMT games. That really says something about their company and their place in the industry. While I don't think it is really possible to have a king of the industry anymore (like what Avalon Hill was in it's heydey), I certainly think that GMT is entitled to an insanely comfy chair.
