CONTEST CLOSED. Geekscore = 87%
Answers and prize winners have been posted. The Geekscore is the average score of all entrants.

Description:

Below are pictorial clues to the names of 25 different games, kind of like in the old game show Concentration. You must sound out what the pictures depict to find the name of the game. Can you crack the code and clarify these complicated characters to claim the cash commission?

Example:

Step 1 - decipher the words: COMB + BAT + COMB + MAN + DIRT - T

Step 2 - sound it out: comb bat comb man dir (notice the T sound has been removed from dirt)

Step 3 - identify the game: Combat Commander

Rules:

1) Send me a Geekmail with your contest entry. Your entry should list (in numbered order) the complete name of the board games pictured below.
2) You may update your contest entry at any time before the contest ends. Please include UPDATE in the title of your message.
3) Please do not give hints or spoilers in any comments posted to this Geeklist.
4) The contest will end at 11:59 pm (BoardGameGeek time) on Sunday, January 24th, 2010.
5) First, second, and third place prizes Prizes one through fifteen will be awarded to the entries with the most correct answers. Ties will be broken by a random draw. Ten Twenty door prizes will be awarded by a random draw of all entrants.
6) All decisions regarding the correctness of entries will be made by me and are final.

Prizes:

We had an impressive 41 entrants with a perfect 25/25 score. The 15 prizes were awarded by random draw (by my beautiful wife Karla). Those with perfect scores who did not get drawn were entered into the general pool for a random door prize.

I had 3 games it could be - L-huffer-A (le havre), cause a fire breathing dragon would huffer? or L-"have fire"-A. Or it could be La Citta, which is on Shaun's top 10 list (L-soot-A) cause there would be soot? unless you think it is sitting, in which case L-Sit-A. Or it could be L-Grand-A since it looks mighty 'grand', boy was that stretching it.

I felt I had seen the picture from a movie, but boy did I kick myself when I found out where it was from and what it was called - then it was pure genius. and I call myself a kiwi. shake

Roads go ever ever on, Over rock and under tree, By caves where never sun has shone, By streams that never find the sea; Over snow by winter sown, And through the merry flowers of June, Over grass and over stone, And under mountains in the moon.

Roads go ever ever on Under cloud and under star, Yet feet that wandering have gone Turn at last to home afar. Eyes that fire and sword have seen And horror in the halls of stone Look at last on meadows green And trees and hills they long have known.
