Welcome everyone to the March 2010 Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. Thanks Blott for the amazing Idea and thanks everyone who took part all these times.

These are the Rules

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post both RPG Items and Boardgames.
6. The item must be draw before 31st of March 2010

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them

How to find the winner?
You can use any fair method you like, like putting the names on a hat and drawing it. But there are two favored methods.

1. First we have the Original Awesome Tool. Created by jeromier. It is very simple to use, but can only deal with one type of bonus (X bonus GG for each Y GG tipped) and limit the amount of tip.

2. Second we have the Copycat Awesome Tool created by yours truly. It can deal with any amount of items drawn on your listing, and any kind of bonus calculation that deals with the tip values only (and a few others). The rolls are trackable for anyone to see, and you can use it anytime to check how many tips and the winning percentage of everyone. It has a few statistics which I'm improving on. The only thing is that for an item to use it, it must be inserted by me, and that takes about 1 or 2 days, usually.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Winners and Drawn Items
Subscribe to the Subscription thread. I update it (usually) daily, and there you can find a list of new items, and the winners list of all the lists we run so far.

Congrats Andrew!

This listing is for a copy of Uncle Chestnut's Table Gype, another game my company is releasing this month. This game already had 3 days on The Hotness in February!

Table Gype is played on a cloth board, with 32 dice in 4 colors. Move your pieces to the opposite row, but every time they are jumped by another piece they are randomized. Abstract strategy with a bit of chance...

For 2-4 players.

Retails for $30

1 = 1 Entry

5 = 6 Entries

Free Shipping Worldwide!

Let's have this end on March 17 (St. Patrick's Feast) at Noon EST.
(Yes, I know Gype is a Scottish word, not Irish - St. Patrick's day was a convenient date to use. However the sport of Gype was created by 2 Englishmen, and St. Patrick was a Brit...)

Strozzi Only a couple days left! Don't forget, only a few more to go before another game is added into the mix!

Ever wanted to be transported back in time to Italy? Well, here's your chance!

Up for grabs is a copy of Strozzi!

Condition: Punched and played only once. Like new!

Shipping: Free in the 48 states, 50/50 internationally!

Bidding: 1gg = 1 bid. Bid as often as you'd like!

Extras: If this auction reaches 200gg 150gg I will gladly throw in some sweeteners - gamer-friendly goodies like dice, baggies, and some random bits of joy.
DONE!!!

If this reaches 300gg 225, I will throw in another game! Bethump'd with Words! As far as I know, only a few folks on BGG own this game. It's been opened and played once, and would make a lovely game for anyone who loves to read!

edit: Ending on March 31st around 10pm!
edit: Since I am feeling generous, I have reduced the amount of needed to get some extra goodies!
edit; 150 has been reached! That means you'll be getting some extra goodies in the box along with Strozzi. Baggies, dice, that kinda thing

First time lottery meeple

Game:
Bridge Troll- 2009 Z-man Games

Condition / Contents:
The box is in like new condition and just has worn corners from sitting on the game shelf, but the player boards suffered damage sometime between the first play. The middle of the boards are warped and have stress markings on it, but this is just cosmetic, and will not interfere with gameplay.

The rest of the game contents are in near mint condition and are individually bagged. I will happily provide photos if requested. I got this game as a blind buy and only played once. It comes from a smoke free household.

Bidding:
1 = 1 bid

Shipping:
Anywhere in the US and Canada I will cover.
I will pay the first $10 to anywhere else.

If you've been bidding on my stuff these last few months, you'll probably notice a slight obsession with the number 3 (and prime numbers). It's no surprise, then, that I would jump to grab item slot #33 for this month's games for geekgold!

Let's play a game

Mystery Game(s): Twenty Questions

Here's how it will work:
-At every 33, 66, and 99 I will get Sol's tool to squirt out a name among the participants and geekmail them.
-That person will get to ask me a yes/no question
-I will post the question and the answer in here
-You may use your question to ask "Is it [game]?"
-If you guess the game correctly, then I will add another game to this draw and we start again!
-Discussion in the comments below are permitted
-I will try my best to be a timely as possible for every name draw
-To clarify, name drawings will occur at 33, 66, 99, 133, 166, 199, etc. I'll try to draw a different person each time (the final draw will be true random, of course).
-If no one guesses the game correct after 20 questions, I'll reveal the answer (maybe) and then start with the next game

Shipping
Free Worldwide

Bonuses
1 for 1 entry, you get an extra entry for every 5 you tip. These will count for the question draws as well as the final draw for the ultimate winner, which will occur at the very end of March.

Trick Taking with a Twist

Brand new copy of the US version of this game direct from the publisher. Peer Syvlester designed, FFM features two unique trick taking games in one package.

Tindahan (3-5 Players) combines area majority and trick taking to create a wonderful dilemma of decision making. In each trick players have to decide if they want to play to win a trick, shed a card or fight for a majority at a fruit stall. Just be careful, the trump suit can change requiring you to constantly rethink your normal trick taking strategies.

Bastos! (3-4 Players) combines trick taking and market manipulation. Every player has to choose a suit in which he can never win tricks but which allows him to change the values for the cards won in tricks. It’s a tricky decision, how much control do you want to have over the markets or how many tricks do you plan on winning?

Looking for trick taking for 3 or 5 players? This is it!

The third game to be released by Indie Boards and Cards - Haggis is a 2-3 player climbing card game (think tichu, not mountains) featuring original artwork of Gary Simpson.

Two years in development from designer and active BGGer Sean Ross, Haggis has been described as "a wonderful climbing game", "exactly what I was looking for in a two player climbing game", "Fine-tuned, connoisseur's 2p climbing game", "a highly-regarded Tichu-like game for 2-3 players"

If you like Tichu but don't always have 4 players, Haggis might be right for you.

This is a neat dexterity/strategy hybrid game with good mechanics and great components (the units are heavy duty poker-style chips). Unfortunately the game was left unsupported when it proved less "collectible" than the publishers hoped. It nevertheless plays well out of the box.

I didn't clearly lay out the terms of the 2nd refund so I will be doing it to the advantage of my bidders. Based on the escalating return scale, I'll be returning 100% to 1 user, and 85% to the 2nd user. Since it was a tie at 122 among two bidders, I'll be refunding 225.7 evenly between them for 112.85 each. Thanks everybody for bidding, it's been a lot of fun!
[size=10]

Less then 4 hours left! We've reached 400 so the highest bidder who doesn't win will receive 85% of the bid back! This will close around noon CDT today, maybe a little bit later. I'll draw a winner and work on getting it shipped ASAP. Good luck and happy bidding!

I'm still fairly new here, so any suggestions or hints/tips for formatting etc (Not sure how to put an image in the text here for one) are greatly appreciated. I love these Games for Geek Gold lists and am excited to participate!

What I have: I have the D&D Core Rulebooks I,II,III, though I did not purchase them as a set as shown here, so there is no outside slipcase to contain them. This includes:

Core Rulebook I: Player's Handbook
Core Rulebook II: Dungeon Master's Guide
Core Rulebook III: Monster Manual

We played for about 5-6 weeks or so, but drove the one brave soul who was willing to DM for us absolutely crazy. No one else has stepped up, and I think we've all agreed we have too many rules lawyers, so I won't need these to play anyway.

Condition: Like New to Excellent (Not even broken in, though the Player's Manual has my name in the front, the others don't have this flaw).

Entry:
1 = 1 entry
5 = 6 entries

Shipping: Free world wide.

Draw Date and method: March 22, 2010, using one of the tools, either the original or Sol's (if I can).

This is really a tester run for me, so hopefully there is some interest and I can get the hang of it and be a "regular". Please let me know if anything looks terribly off.

Edit: Changed draw date from the 19th to the 22nd due to expected travel.

Edit2: With just 2 weeks left, and everyone seemingly poor, I thought I would add a sweetener of sorts. Either you win the item or I'll help chase away your losing blues!

I will refund back 50% of the highest losing bidder's !
Active!

At 300 total, I'll refund 65% of the highest losing bidder's !

At 400 total, I'll refund 85% of the highest losing bidder's !
Active!
At 500 total, I'll refund 100% of the highest losing bidder's !

If somehow we end up over 500, I will refund the next highest losing bidder's starting at 50% again.

In the event of a tie, I will split it evenly among the ties.
