I'm ordering the first edition of Attack of the Dead soon, but I'm debating on whether to release the game as a limited edition of 10, 25, or 50 copies. Convince me that you want zombies in your games and win an Attack of the Dead t shirt in the process.
All you have to do is thumb this list, then thumb the game entries you would like lottery tickets for:
If you like zombies, vote for the games that scream zombies to you. If you don't like zombies, vote for Agricola. If there is a game out now that doesn't have zombies but should, add it and thumb it.
I will let this run for about a week, and then I will randomly draw 10 ticket-holders from the entry with the most thumbs. You may thumb more than one entry but by god you better love zombies.
I will cover all shipping costs to wherever the winners are.
T shirts come in 2 flavors: black skull on white tee (shown) gray skull on black tee. Mens & Womens Sizes S/M/L/XL
***Lottery Winner List -- the following BGGers are each awarded a LE Attack of the Dead tshirt!***
My name is Glenn! Long have I carried Cyrus's hopes and dreams, and now I bear the Masamune as well! Henceforth, I claim them as my own! I shall slay the Fiendlord Magus and restore our honor!
Yeah... it does sound cool... but whatever you do... don't watch Død Snø ("Dead Snow")... a really crappy Norwegian movie about a group of young med-students taking a ski-vacation way out in the middle of nowhere, and there just happens to be a bunch of Zombie Nazis frozen in them thar hills...
It's not the greatest Zombie game there is - but it's pretty atmospheric and entertaining. Zombie behaviour changes if they're directed by an overlord, which makes for an entertaining variation.
Undead States of America is a 15mm miniatures wargame. In this game you fight hordes of zombies in all out warfare. They even have the Battle of Yonkers from World War Z available on the web.
And with supplements like Undead Nations which brings the war to the rest of the world, Undead Avenue which brings the conflict down to a familiar "escaping the city" skirmish, and finally Undead Universe that lets you play historical zombie wars - battling Nazi zombies, Roman zombies, or what-have-you - the game should have quite some staying power.
I have these also. They are really nice and what I like about them the most are that you position the heads, bodies, and one arm the way you want them. Fills out any zombie army nicely.
The Mall of the Dead is just now getting released (as of now, the map and a number of stores are available, with more coming, along with a scenario maker for it).
This has inspired me think of rules for playing: CarcaZombie
1. Place a tile and place a Zombeeple of your color. 2. Completing a feature (road, castle, etc.) allows you to move your Zombeeple to an adjoining feature. 3. If one of your opponents has one of his/her meeples on that feature, replace that meeple with one of your Zombeeples. 4. First player to place all of his/her Zombeeples wins the game.
Oh man, zombies. Yeah I thumbed multiple things, what of it! I like Day AND Diary of the dead! I've seen Feeding the Masses (please, even if you like zombie movies, do yourself a favor and do NOT see that one!)
Zombies, it's in your blood. Zed fo' life, wha' what, etc!
Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.
