The growing success of the Gnome All-Dayers saw us move from our home base at the Doffcocker Inn to the more spacious facilities of St Mary's Church Hall in Horwich.

The day was another storming success with a record 58 attendees from around the region and beyond (including a couple of eager gamers all the way from Glasgow.)

Here is what we played and who played it. For those of you who were there feel free to share your anecdotes from the games you played and of the day in general.

As soon as our photographers have finished airbrushing us all into godlike creatures of immaculate beauty I'll add some pictures of the day.

On behalf of everybody who attended I'd like to thank Nick and Sue from Shire Games for donating a copy of Pandemic and Kahmate for the raffle on the day. Very much appreciated by all.

Look out for the next All-Dayer in around 6 months time.

Results:
Game 1

Game 2
Win - John/Robert/Scott/Gerard
Lose - Will

Bit of an odd result there. What happened Will?

That's me looking pensive back left....

We called it after around 3 hours, because 2 of the 4 of us had managed to get ourselves into a position where we used our last piece of wood, and therefore couldn't build another woodcutter and expand. Another one of us made a fundemental error in storage which wiped out their supplies in one swoop.

Winner (By Default) Nick
Losers (through varying degrees of incompetence) Sue, Haydn & Neil

I wasn't involved in this game, but saw it. I still think the old Ravensburger board is much better than the new version. The chokepoints are different, and there's more opportunities for screwage from what I remember on that board (and you have different boards for 3-4 or 5-6 players).

The cylon woke at the sleeper agent phase and had a hard time on his own and that is what made the victory sweet,Winning the game when we all thougth we couldn't.

I'm in the picture, but was only sitting in for John for a brief moment. I did see most of the game, however. It did look grim for the humans at the start. When I first showed up to the table, nearly evenry Cylon model was on the board and the humans hadn't even made one jump yet!

Without Scott as a friendly Cylon leader, there would have been no hope in this game (I think).
