When supply is greater than demand, there's a surplus. Originally this was going to be an informative sort of list, but in the end, I'm just feeding my librarian compulsion to list stuff. Look how informative I thought this would be--I wrote this before adding items to the list:

"The Users Trading to Users Wanting ratio is obviously not static, but at the time these titles were added to the list, trading to get any one of them shouldn't be too hard.

Don't look for the top ranked titles here. Look for that title you've got a special place in your heart for, the one the rest of your gaming group thinks you're kidding about when you suggest playing it. Look for the less popular titles by that one designer you're collecting."

Sure, that's all included--I note series, designers, and even awards, but really, I'm just having fun listing. If you add titles, make it fun, but be sure to include the number of users trading and wanting in trade--that's the only rule.

EDIT: I changed the organization from rank to date of addition so folks could better see their submissions.

It's probably the highest ranked game that has more people trading than wanting. I guess it's because cheap sets are easily obtained new or second hand (often at a thrift store), and at some point their owners upgrade and have a set to trade--or they just want to unload a set from the thrift store.

A friend of mine likes to point out that there are far fewer scifi themed games than historical or fantasy themed games (dunno if it's true, but I agree that it seems like the case). While Alan Moon's hit and miss for me, I'm enough of a fan of some of his titles that I'm kinda interested in Andromeda. 61 firing it out their airlocks, 29 scavenging space for a copy.

Special place you say? Marvel Heroes not only brought me to BGG (yay), it brought me back to boardgaming (and there was much rejoicing/gnashing of teeth ).

I grew up (well, debatable, but you get the idea) with Marvel comics in the mid-80s, early-90s, so this was the perfect game for me. Bought it purely on the box cover and it remains one of my all-time favourites. That you can play a game in 1h max (2-player) is a nice bonus, especially with my current work schedule. It gives me my superhero fix perfectly.

Not only is this yet another Kosmos 2-player series title, but it's also another Spiel des Jahres (1998)--that's two potential reasons to add this to your collection. And, if you're one of those "hey, what's a game I can play with my wife" sorts, why not join the 50 who want it in trade? Surely one of those 223 geeks trading will respond to your request.

I'm not familiar with Celtica (but I really enjoy Wolfgang Kramer's El Capitan). I'm noting this one because I wonder how successful with the general public an admittedly pasted-on Harry Potter rethemed version would be. Check out the description:

"In 11th century Ireland players try to gather amulets with the help of five druids. Each amulet is divided in 9 parts and the player with the most complete amulets wins the game."

131 wanting to get rid of it, 72 desiring it.

A GMT game which I (and, I think, many others) hoped would appeal to non-wargamers, but failed owing to being overly complex. The trading situation is not improved by the error-strewn first edition being replaced by the corrected reprint, which the publisher is now selling nearly half-price, presumably because once the game was released most of the target audience realised it wasn't very good.
