This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522

Went to the Silver Spring Value Village/Unique combo store, but didn't find anything for me. I did get Gobblet Junior for my friend to play with nephews and nieces - complete with a little shelf wear on the box. It makes a nice complement to the Gobblet I got him a couple weeks ago. Passed up a Break the Safe since I already have one. My daughter was thrilled because I found an in-shrink Leapster game for her. And I did pick up two shirts and a nice framed picture for myself so the trip wasn't a total loss! A Fortress America here, a RoboRally there and it's surprising how high my expectations can get!
Unknown edition, components look like the ones pictured although it came in a pleather case (not sure if it's original or not) haven't inventoried complete, some wear, but still nice bakelite tiles. Estate sale, San Lorenzo, CA less than $1.00 (4 games + other junk for $5.00).
No box, but it's the version with the one-piece board, four plastic adjustable goal guards and non-removable guns. The baggy of 2 pucks and 42 balls was taped to the bottom, so except for the rules it's complete. Who needs the rules? Fire fire fire, reload, repeat...
3M Stocks and Bonds, also 99¢ at Value Village wherever I was driving by. I spotted a box in a very familiar size and shape and color, but there were no pictures on the box. At first I thought it was a game box where the cover art had fallen off. The I realized I have never heard of 3M cover art getting unglued, and there were no marks on this box. Then I realized I was looking at an inner box with no outer sleeve. So I took of the rubber band (no tape) and looked inside, and OMG it's a completely perfect unplayed copy of Stocks and Bonds. It's a later 3M edition with crayons instead of chalk. The board and crayons have never been used, the stocks are still padded.
Made a quick stop into Savers on my way to my group's game day (12 hours, 2 games played - my brain hurts). Got this for $1.99. All 32 dice there, everything complete, in superb condition, though not as good a condition as
I should probably wait till I get these and inventory them to check, but that won't be for two weeks, and who wants to wait? Especially with this retro beauty to drool over. This was down in Philly, and my brother was nice enough to drive over and pick these up for me today. This and the next three items, $50, Craigslist.
Of all these, this is the one I've been hungry for for the longest time. I'll almost certainly sell the next two (and possibly the Chopper Strike), but that's just so I can have gotten this for no cost. 4 games for $50, Craigslist.
