3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

Raiko !
I'm just astonished to see everytime how generous and nice the people are, here on bgg
Not even talking about the prizes, but the idea is so nice !
You are exactly the guy I was looking for to give all my little geekgold !

So...here are my choices.

First choice : A game of thrones
Why ? I love long, themed games that really getyou involved in the story (war of the ring, for instance). I admit that I never played it yet, but I would really like to. I'm looking for something with an appealing theme and epic feel and this might well be what I would like.
And if I win, I promise to play with you whenever you come to Geneva or Hungary and offer you a free coffee and a cake.

Second choice: Fire and axe, A viking saga
Why ? First of all I like the map and the art. Second, this game seems to be a good way to evacuate the frustrations of everyday life since going around pillaging, looting and burning cities down will calm you down.
If I win, I promise that everytime I'm nervous, I'll try to play this game and compose a hymn in honour to your generosity.
Have a nice end of August !

Edit: I just saw that Fire and axe may be too expensive. If it's the case, I would choose, Battlelore:heroes expansion because I really love Battlelore and hope this expansion gives it a new boost.
Anyway, I offer to pay for shipping if I am the chosen one.

Because it is my favorite game. I have some games at my parents home, which doesn`t belong only to me - they belong to whole family. And nowI live far from them. And here in my new home Raiko have over 500games, some of them are maybe a little bit mine too, but still... I`d like to have one only my game. That in that big gaming room we have now, would be one game what I can say is mine And as you pick winner on my birthday, then that would be a really nice present

The second choice would be Alias, because it can be played with a lot of people. So when I go and we get together with girls, it would be nice to play it. And I know, that I wouldn`t be very happy, when I take your Alias to the party. And I still like to have one really my game

But actually I don`t think very much, that I will win, because everybody would think, that I won because I am your girlfriend...

First Game - Memoir '44 because I recently acquired Battlelore and it has seen more plays in a week than most of my others games in 6 months and I have fallen in love with the C & C mechanic, and for some of my friends who are not keen on the medieval/fantasy style this should get them hooked!

Second Game - Creatures expansion for Battlelore because as I said above Battlelore is my new favorite game!

First off - how cool are you for offering this?

(Now that I have the flattery out of the way, let's move on...)

Let me tell you a story. Back in ancient history (around 1986 or so) a young UndeadViking was firmly entremched in playing all things fantasy related. A friend of his began painting miniatures for their weekend D&D sessions and the young UV decided to try his hand at it.

At first, he was absolutely horrible. He didn't understand color schemes or shadowing. He mixed acrylics and mattes. He used ridiculously poor brushes that left bristles on the figure.

But he got better. He even continued painting them when he was in college, whiling away the hours in his dorm room when he should have been studying. But then beer and girls became a priority and UV gave up on painting miniatures for a long time.

Recently, he has felt the urge to revisit it however. Maybe it was the re-release of Space Hulk. As a matter of fact, I am sure that was what it was. The figures looked amazing, it was a game he never owned, and he figured it was a perfect way to get back into the hobby. He plunked down his hard earned cash and got his copy of the monster. He clipped out the figures, glued them together, and even got so far as to prime his space marines...but then he never got them painted. Oh he wants to do it, but he is missing one thing - a decent spot to get it done.

You see, UV has not finished his basement yet. He has his space marked out for his game room. He has his shelving that he plans on using in the room. He has picked out everything that he needs to get done what he wants to get done, but he has these crazy things like a wedding coming up, and a fence and a deck to stain, and a little girl that begs him to play games with her - and who can tell her no?

So, then one day, UV saw the pictures of the figures in Earth Reborn. He was completely blown away. Not only were the miniatures just awesome looking, the game itself seemed practical and intriguing. A four player minis game with seperate factions and simple mechanics? Oh my yes!

So, even though the game does not come out for a bit, it is available for pre-order, and UV firmly believes that this game, this one game, will finally be the one that will force him to break out his table saw and sheet rock to finish off his basement. He will make Becca her long awaited study, he will build his basement bathroom, he will finish off his laundry room - and yes - UV will finally have his long awaited game room, complete with his painting space so he can finally revisit a hobby he once devoted so much of his life to.

At this point, listing a second game almost seems anti-climactic, but UV is a big fan of Euro games that implement dice in some way, so for a second game he would have to pick Alea Iacta Est.

Why? Uh, why not? Everybody says this game is great if you like games like Agricola and Caylus which are among my favorites. So I gotta have this, too.
In Germany, this is availabla for less than 30€, so it should be well under $60.

Second game: Heckmeck am Bratwurmeck (aka Pickomino). I already own this, but my mother had visited me last weekend, and I showed it to her. She found it was a great game, and I would like to give it to her.

Even know that is way out of my reach financially and I know you can't give me a trip there but you can give me an inexpensive way to have that fantasy trip of a lifetime by allowing me to travel through Thurns & Taxis.

My second choice would be Pandemic: On the Brink because I already own Pandemic, but love a challenge, and would love to have one more person experience that challenge with our group of 4 by expaning it to a 5th player and Erradicating the world of disease!

Thanks for giving us all a chance to win a game, and congratulations on getting Geek Of The Week! What a way to celebrate!!! It's like getting cake and eating it too!

Why? Every other game on my wishlist, I'll find an excuse to get. Maybe I'll ask for it for my birthday. Maybe a friend will come visiting from the US, and I'll grab the opportunity to save on shipping. Some time or another, some way or another, I'll get them.

But this game? It's long. It's big. It's unwieldy. The only person Tolkien-crazed enough to play it with me is my roommate, and her busy schedule means we'll only ever play it once or twice. Whichever way you look at this, buying this game makes no sense at all.

But we wantsss it...

Second Game: To balance the sheer impracticality of my first choice, how about a nice copy of Dominion: Prosperity? Judging by the earlier installments, this will get at least 500 plays.

Thanks Raiko for your generosity!

Why?

Because i became a Brass-addict due to the love-spreader John Bandettini and the awesome online-playsite by Hammerite, but my game group isn´t satisfied with the duration of it.
The successor AoI should play in less time, so this is the one i need to have!

The small game i choose is Pentactic. I love the nestorgames-concept of the take-away-bags and look forward to his presence in Essen.

Great idea for a geeklist!

First of all, thanks for your generosity. Now why pick this game:
I've been a fan of long, drama-filled games for as long as I remember. When playing Risk (which we call War around here) as a child, I used to imagine History developing as armies attacked each other. I would come up with explanations like 'the red player controlling most of Europe must be the Roman Empire. I'm pretty sure he'll go for Africa next".
There were, of course, computer Civ games, but I was looking for something I could play on a table with my friends. In Brazil, we never saw either Civilization or Advanced Civ, so I had no idea that such games even existed. When I found about BGG, though (ironically, all I was looking for was a "Groo: the game" FAQ), I stumbled upon the thousands of games that were available outside Brazil and felt astonished. I resumed my search for a Civ game, and eventually TtA was released and the good word was spread. I never imagined, though, that a game without a map could scracht that Civ itch, so I didn't bother acquiring it.
Last weekend, though, a friend of mine brought this game to a monthly meeting we have in my hometown, and I decided to try it. I was definitely caught and have been thinking about TtA since then. I don't think the lack of a map was a real flaw, because the scope is there and we can see History developing. It's amazing how I can remember specific Leaders, Wonders and Techs from my opponent. That's because they have character and real impact on the development of the game.
I've even started translating all the cards, so my wife can play it with me when I get a copy (I'll get it one way or another, rest assured).
Well, that's it. My second pick would also be from Vlaada: Dungeon Lords. Haven't played it yet, but, based on the opinions I've been hearding about it, sounds just like my cup of tea.

As Astra would be my first choice. My college game group basically overplayed Catan our Freshman year, we're talking somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 games in the span of 4 months, and we haven't really brought it back to the table since. I've read that this is a lot like Catan, but better themed and different enough that people would probably come to play it.

My second choice would be Incan Gold. It looks like a really fun and fast game, and I've only heard good things about it.

Congratulations on GotW, and I hope you enjoyed hearing a tiny bit of me here.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
mbmbmbmbmb
Why? Because I really enjoyed this game when I had a chance to play it. So, like many other games, it landed a spot on wishlist. I, however, have the attention span of a drunken ferret in a room full of strings so it is unlikely I'll ever buy this. And since I almost never order from online dealers you'll have to add the extra hurdle of asking my FLGS to get it. I don't need this game, but I really do want it. I mean, Nazi zombies? Come on! How cool is that?

And then... I would really like a copy of Battle Line. I've never failed to completely enjoy this game. I tend to only have one other person to game with and this is a wonderful little 2-player game that just never seems to get old.

This would be for my 7 year old daughter that has been asking about it ever since she saw the mythological creatures in it. I played it the other night at the gaming group and found it to be a lot of fun, so it's on the list of games to get.

Can't wait to see if it takes over her current favorite game of Agricola.

Second game is Ascension: Deckbuilding Game which is just a wonderful deck building card game. Played it at the group also last week and was amazed at how much I loved it, super quick setup, fast game play and just plain fun.

Grrrr!

Why? Because I am slowly gathering games suitable to play with my young son, and this looks like it will be good for the whole family. Everyone likes cheese right?

Second Choice

Animal Upon Animal

Same reason, although I think I might need the practice with this one - those pieces look small to my adult fingers.
