3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

Well this is very generous!

My first game is A Brief History of the World by the Ragnor brothers. I have played this game a few times and I really have enjoyed it every time. I have been on a self imposed game buying hiatus, so this would be a great way to sneak in a new game that will get a lot of plays without giving in! ninja

I met the designers last year at a friends place and they were very nice guys - we played Hansa Teutonica, but others were playing this in the next room and kept popping in for rules clarifications

Second choice would be Glory to Rome - I have yet to play it, but am very fond of complex card games and this does seem right up my alley. Its also quite hard to find here in the UK, and I have been putting off buying direct from the publisher as the shipping costs almost as much as the game cry

Why?My 10-year-old son, Sam, and I have a blast playing games ever since he was old enough to count to six and tell the difference between red and black. We have both coveted PitchCar for a long time, although we have only played store copies. Also, we are both big fans of dungeon crawls. I know this game would scratch both those itches. Of course, when he screamed "We've got to get this game" after seeing a video review, I had a clue that this would be great to get.

The second game Dice Town.....I loves me some dice

It's very generous of you to offer a free game. I would choose Tobago because it looks to be very similar to my first attempt at game design, although a lot more refined. I was still tinkering with mechanics when I read a synopsis of the rules and realized that someone had beaten me to it. I still haven't played Tobago, but I like what I've heard about it.

Second:Mr. Jack. It looks like a fun deduction game that my wife would play with me.

You find yourself in a room with an exit to the South. Before you lies a rope. To the North a door. In a corner there is a stool in some hay that seats a sleeping orc. What would you like to do?

Dungeon crawling games help inspire me. I have fond memories of Hero and Warhammer Quest. At some point I lost access to those games and using a clue board and minatures created my own dungeon crawl.

I have sense then craved for a game that scratched the itch of the dungeon crawl and while Descent: Journeys in the Dark was a fun game the length of time was frustrating.

I've also always been a fan of D&D and am excited to be able to get two of my favorite areas into one board game, Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game. One of the most exciting things is the solo play in this game. I'm very excited to get a game like this.

If I am second place winner. I will take Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age since dice games are always enjoyable and the whole civilization feel is very intriguing.

Why?
Despite having travelled 6500 miles from Malaysia to study and work in the UK, home of Games Workshop, I never got the chance to delve into the Warhammer hobby. Instead, I got sidetracked with boardgames but don't regret it a single bit.

But what's this? A boardgame that's dripping with the glorious theme of Warhammer, doesn't cost a fortune (I'm looking at you Space Hulk!), and is a well-balanced Euro in disguise? I must have it!

Perhaps Lady Luck would shine on me today...so I can cry out BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

Second game:
Any game that you'd recommend!

P.S Thanks for your amazing generosity and congrats for Geek of the Week!

Sweet! What more can I say?

EDIT: If you order from the OLGS near me I can pick up the game and you don't have to pay shipping.

First Choice Claustrophobia- Why you ask?
1.Since the recent birth of our daughter, games that you can set up, play and put away in under an hour are a must.
2.I need a dungeon crawler game in my collection to rid me of that nagging D&D itch.
3.We love games without victory point win conditions.
4.My wife will love playing as the demons (as Elvis put it...she's "the devil in disguise").

Second Choice Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game- Why you ask?
1.See #1 above.
2.We both love co-ops and this one looks to be especially challenging
3.We need some more easy-to-transport games for trips.
4.You have to see how worked up my wife gets when things come down to a single die roll- this one's going to be a nail-biter for her for sure!

Well this is a really kewl idea and a generous thing to do. ( edit , I checked and my game is wayyyyy under the price )
I am a gamer since I was a child, back then it was mostly monopoly and these types of games and lots of cards. The last few years I joined a gamer group that meets 1 a month or so and have played many like twilight imperium and arkum horror. I have a lot of fun so recently i went to my 1st con ( micicon) and played Dominion for the 1st time and had great fun with it
ok so I reread and have changed my 2nd wish
It is hive Hive (edit This one is way under as well o well thats what I get for not really stretching my / or in this case your dollar )
I have seen this game around and it just looks plain fun
anyway you rock and sorry about having to edit Defenders of the realm just seemed out of place as it is really over either limit you have suggested

Claustrophobia would be my first choice. The game looks sick and I just haven't gotten it yet. My second choice would be Thunderstone. I think I would like the game but with Dominion, Intrigue and Seaside I'm hesitant to buy this one as well.

Although these games are under the prices in the US they may be more in Canada so a gift certificate to a Canadian online retailer to purchase one would be cool as well then I would pay shipping. Whatever you want to do! It is your generosity after all! I too if chosen as a first draw winner will choose another winner to recieve their 2nd choice game.

Why do I want this game?

I still live with my parents (hey! I'm only 18!), so I have to abide by the rules of the house. One of the rules that my mother made is that I can't buy any more games, because I have to pay for college, gas, an LDS mission, dates for my girlfriend, and several other things. While I agree that I need to cut back on my spending, it's sad to me to see my Dominion collection be cut back from its full potential.

Since buying any more games is completely out of the question for me, it'd be really nice if somebody bought one for me. And since my Dominion set isn't complete, I'd love to have this game.

Thanks!

Second choice: Witch's Brew
(unless, of course, I can count Dominion: Prosperity as both choices. Can I, please?)

My wife as of late hasn't been playing many boardgames with me and this one is high on her list to play after she saw it at GenCon. I miss being able to play with my favorite gaming buddy and hope this will lure her back. Also, I haven't had a dungeon crawl game click with me yet and I'm pretty sure this one fits the bill of what I'm looking for.

My second choice would be Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer. I missed seeing it at GenCon and everything that I've heard since just screams the type of game I'd love to play and would fit well into my collection.

Thanks so much for doing this.

Congrats on Geek of the Week and thanks for this opportunity!

1: 1960: The Making of the President
Why? Because I want to feed my new love for 2-player political card games, especially after purchasing Campaign Manager 2008. (And I'd like a map!) Who knows, maybe I'll even make the leap to Twilight Struggle.

2: Sherlock Holmes: The Card Game
Why? After catching an episode of Jeremy Brett as Holmes, I became a Sherlockian. Plus, my family loves card games and rummy is a game they're familiar with.

Once again you show your class - a true gamers gamer

First Choice: D&D Castle Ravenloft Board Game My children are just starting to show some interest in Dad's obsession and whilst I have begun getting a few games that interest them I'd like to get this one to not only have a solo option game for those times when I can get no interest in a game from others! but also as an introduction into the world of fantasy and maybe one day even a little RPG down the track.

Second Choice: Forbidden Island Every time I go to my local game shop I am being constantly bombarded with how good this game is. Perhaps I need to finally find out if they are right.

Win or lose what a great contest from a great contributor to the site.

cheers

Nick

Uhm, well, I'm a brand new BGG member, and I'm trying to start a collection after playing a few games with my friends back home. After playing Last Night on Earth for the first time a while back, I fell in love with specialty board games, especially those with a lot of theme. Unfortunately a lot of my friends began drinking and never wanted to play games anymore, so I'm trying to find some new gaming buddies (I have nothing against drinking, it just became their "thing" to do )

Anyway, I just recently bought Settlers and Carcassonne, but I really want a game with an awesome theme like LNoE, and Arkham Horror seems especially fun!

2nd Choice: Race for the Galaxy

Like I said before, I really like theme, and this game has jumped out at me several times.

And congrats on being geek of the week!

This is the game I'd really like to give a go, because it is themed the same as my favorite game ... Kingmaker. With a username like Kingmaker fan this one is a natural for me.

Long Live Kingmaker!

My second game is Pandemic, I'd like to have my own copy.

Thanks for another wonderful giveaway!

talk about crayon rail games on the FTL thread I asked her which she would recommend and she mentioned this one. It's on my wishlist ever since!

Second game - Forlorn: Hope because it can only be ordered directly at the publisher and I never seem to get around to order a game from them (they are going to change this, can't wait!)...

And Raiko, this is a very generous offer, you are too kind!
