3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

Why? As a Battlelore fan I wonder what FFG is planning for this brand. I wish to finally see for myself whether Battles of Westeros is really improved Battlelore. Is it as simple and elegant as its predecessor? Is it as alive? I hope it is. But I also hope they would further support the original Battlelore.

My second choice is Battlelore: Dragons. As I said, I'm a Battlelore person. I'm sure the dragons will add that special something to my favorite game.

And thanks for running this giveaway, Raiko. Such acts really make the world brighter.

Raiko, first of all, I'd like to thank you for such a generous idea. Congratulations also for your Love Spreader and Geek of the Week awards. Well deserved!

And after all these "teacher's pet" comments , there I go...

My choice is... Twilight Struggle !!!

Why? Although my collection is not really big (is it big enough ever? ) I already have games that match my flavours, so I'm focused now on gettings games that complement my collection to make it more diverse, like fillers, etc. Right now I don't have any 2 players game and I usually play with my brother, who is another big gamer as me, so I thought Twilight Struggle would be the best candidate for my next adquisition. I've read the rules many times and played only a couple of turns but that was enough to know that this is Must-have for me!! I love History and specially the cold war theme. I think this games recreates very well its theme and I love the idea that a game like this can teach people History through the events that take place in it. Some years ago I'd have been doubtful about getting this game because it's not symmetrical and has die, but my costumes have changed lately and I've realised that asymmetrical games can offer more replayability and that die rolls can be a lot of fun because their unexpected results, opposite to having everything calculated and controlled, which can be more boring. One last thing: could it be the Deluxe edition? modest

The second game: For Sale. It has one reason is common with my Twilight Struggle choice: I don't have fillers in my collection, and neither auction games, so this game would make my collection more complete. This game is quite fun for me, and I find it a great filler: easy to learn, easy to play, and quick but nice and fun. We once played it to let the winner choices the next game we were going to play. Is there any better way to kick off a gaming session?

Thanks again for the idea, Raiko, and good luck all!!

CONGRATS on GOTW recognition.

WHY Le Havre? Recently I managed to convince my wife Teresa that Agricola is a great two player game for us and now this is the most meaty game that she is willing to try. I love her and playing board games together is a blast, hence I stated to wonder if she will try the next one in the series that is Le Havre.

As my second choice would be:
San Juan (younger brother of Puerto Rico) again I have my wife in mind. One of my favorite games is Race for the Galaxy but she is put of by the theme and all the icons. I heard that this is quite similar to RFTG and the theme is much more "girl in your life"-friendly.

I am sure that I will not win but thanks for the fun anyway (BTW.I enjoyed reading your GOTW thread a lot)
ALL THE BEST

First of all, thank you so much for your generosity! It's people like you that make this community, the best on the internet!

Why? I love Agricola but most of my friends don't like the "stress" it produces and I hear that this game, while similar, removes that feeling of "OMFG I WANT THAT CLAY BUT I GOTTA FEED MY FAMILY!". Also because the FLGS I support run's through a distributor that doesn't supply Lookout Games. So I try to order all game's through them.

Second game Dominion: Prosperity. My game groups favorite game would be even better with the newest expansion!

Thanks again for helping to better such an already fabulous internet destination!

First Choice: I have to pick The Adventurers as well due to this being a game that I think I could actually play with my two children. When not playing Gulo Gulo or Sorry Sliders or Chateau Roquefort, my game playing consists of setting up my Descent boards with doors and monsters all over in order for my children to rampage through them with their characters. And by rampage I mean hit the doors/monsters as hard as possible to knock them out of the way. *sigh*

Second Choice: Funny Bunny. Reads like a simplified Chateau Roquefort, and since the kids favorite part is killing Daddy, what better game than this?

FYI, your generosity blows me mind.

So the first choice would be Maria. As I life in Potsdam and der Alte Fritz is omnipresent I somehow developed an addiction to that specific part of our history. So I think Maria would be good choice.

As 2nd choice I would propose Kuhhandel Master. This was one of my very first games. I still play it with the 1st edition cards back from the 80ies. But I think it is time to give them their hard-earned retirement. So I need new cards

My 1st choice is Earth Reborn . First off, the pictures from Gen Con look amazing. The tetris-style board layout looks like you will NEVER wind up with the same game twice. Secondly (more importantly), I like Dungeon-Twister quite a bit and trust that the designer will have done just as good a job on this game as he did with that one. Thirdly, it's post-apocalyptic! Great genre.

My 2nd choice: There are so many good games coming out just now, and I really enjoy the deck-building games Dominion & Thunderstone, so I've been looking at newcomers, Ascension and Heroes of Graxia. Not sure if they are worth adding to my collection quite yet... so I will choose Dominion: Prosperity

Thanks very much for putting on this giveaway event. Very generous of you. I looked at your game-shelving project with interest as my home "office" is quite the shambles. I should probably build something similar.

$45.50 on Thoughthammer B&B etc...

Why do I want this game?
I would love a cooperative Dungeon Crawler that doesn't take over an entire Sunday (and cause some tempers to flare when the overlord takes apart the heroes).

I currently have a group that comes over on the weekends for Descent, but I'm always the Overlord, and I frequently get my butt kicked. I would love to be able to play alongside my friends. I would also love to be able to break it out during a Tuesday or Wednesday night gaming session and be able to play all the way through to the end.

Plus, it looks hella cool.

$30 game
Incan Gold $18.19 on Thoughthammer

I don't know much about this game actually, but I have a weekly game night, and we need some good fillers for warm up and warm down games. I like that it's a bluff/push your luck game. We tend to play a lot of Euros and the whole perfect information, luckless nature of those games can suck the fun out of the room. After a few beers, the highs and lows of push your luck sound like a ton of fun.

This is highly generous of you. I thank you kindly even if I do not receive anything.
As for the item, it is really hard to choose. I would have picked Invasion from Outer Space: The Martian Game or Magestorm but neither seems to be coming out anytime soon.
So, I guess I will go for Heroes of the Blitzkrieg, as I always want more wargames and a wargame covering the early period of WWII, and especially the battles between the French and the Germans could be very interesting.

My second choice is an interesting new card wargame, Spearpoint 1943

Yeah, both choices are Wargames. But what can I say, I have loads of games, and Wargames tend to have some variety to them.

First choice: D&D Castle Ravenloft Boardgame

My group likes cooperative games, and is mostly filled with RPG gamers. A fixed D&D boardgame bringing back the mystique of the Ravenloft setting sounds fantastic.

It doesn't hurt that it's supposed to combine seamlessly with Wrath of Ashardalon, also to be released this year.

Second choice is Pandemic: On the Brink.

I like such events! Thanks for the generosity

First Game: Agricola- because, being a physician in the USA, I anticipate having to become a subsitence farmer once Obamacare kicks in...

Second Game: Smallworld- Seriously, who wouldn't want to be a Commando Amazon...

Why? My (newly wed) wife and I both love dice rolling games and a friend recommended this one to us. I've tried it and I think it's brilliant and, more importantly, different than the other dice rolling games we have.

Second game: Campaign manager 2008
Again, something to enjoy with the wife

Note that if I'm picked, you won't have to pay for shipping since the online retailer StarlitCitadel is based 20 minutes away and allows for local pickup
