3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

I'd love to have D-day at OB. It's received lots of praise and I suspect it will create the feeling of really being there, on that faithful beach in '44.

Second wish: YINSH. Seems like an exciting abstract. It's also very aesthetically pleasing. Pure, somehow, in an almost go-like way.

Thanks for this initiative, appreciate it!!thumbsup

1st Choice: Dungeonquest I love games like this, that can be played in a short amount of time with tons of laughter around the table. This one looks right up my alley

2nd Choice: Pandemic: On the Brink: I've played a ton of Pandemic, and at this point it pretty much requires the expansion for me to play it some more. The variety would be very handy!

My first choice is Catan Histories: Settlers of America – Trails to Rails, because I love Teuber's games, love Settlers (my only "10" game, even though it's worn out at times), and enjoy train games.

My second choice would be Alhambra, because my gaming group loves "gateway games", so I'm sure they'll enjoy this one!

First off - this type of thing is what makes this community so great - a shared love of gaming and support of others' interest in it, thanks!

First Choice: Cuba - I have wanted Cuba for a while it looks awesome - I have registered to play it at GenCon for two years in a row but have never actually played it - the solution - own the game.

Second Choice: Before the Wind. I saw this demoed at GenCon a couple of years ago and it looked really interesting, went to but it at the Mayfair booth this year and they said they didn't bring it to sell. So sad.

Thanks again for the opportunity!

First Choice: Yes, Chess, that classic game that's been around forever. The fact that my only chess set remains a cheapo drug-store version that I've had since I was roughly four years old bothers me more than it has any rights to, considering I've played maybe two games of chess over the last seven years. As such, a nicer chess set's been on my 'nice, but no way I can afford to shell out decent $$' list for awhile now. If you pick my name, I'd be quite appreciative, and I might even play it once or twice.

Second Choice: I think Wits & Wagers would actually go over well, since I only seem to play board games in larger groups, which generally means anything that isn't a party game is right out.

Thanks again for doing this, and spreading awesomeness throughout the Geek, binraix!

1st choice - Galaxy Trucker - I have always wanted to try this, I'm a sucker for space themes. You rock by the way. I can't wait to be able to build my game room shelves. If you wanted to surprise me, an alternate 1st choice of mine is Cyclades. I am also a sucker for fantasy theme and mythological beasts would fit in nicely.

2nd choice - A Random Dominion Expansion - I very much enjoy the game, even though I suck at it most games. I only have the base set so any expansion would be much appreciated.

Why? Because I played it once and loved it. I love Dominion, and I feel this adds on to Dominion, adding heroes and dungeons to the deck building mechanic. The artwork is awesome (like this contest), as well as the theme. It's a game I've been wanting for a long time, and I know that everyone I play games with at home, and as well as everyone at my FLGS would have a great time playing it. There's also expansions, which is always a plus. When I've had enough of this one, I can buy more! As you can see, I think this is a great game and would really like to own it.

My second choice is Arkham Horror: The Black Goat of the Woods Expansion, because Arkham Horror has been getting pretty easy.

Thanks SO much for doing this, you're really great!

Thanks again,
Carnax

Every year, the Great Plains Game Players group gets together over the July 4th weekend to play games, shoot guns, play more games, shoot off fireworks, and play yet more games. I was forced to miss this last GPGP weekend due to real world committments, and want to bring something new to the next GPGP event.

Second Choice

Race for the Galaxy

I'd really like to be able to add this game to my collection. I haven't had a serious gaming group for years and have missed it terribly. Just recently I moved to a new state and am close enough to 2 friends here that we get together at least one or 2 nights a week. Unfortunately, our gaming collection for the group is a bit small as we're all used to just playing once or twice a year and haven't gotten built back up yet. I've heard such great things about this game and would love to try it out.

For my second choice, I'd have to say Ascension: Chronicles of the Godslayer. It seems like a great way to delve into the deck-building games and have one with variety every time it's played instead of the same thing every time.

It's a bit difficult to get my wife to learn a new game... and getting harder with every new game I get. But! She is really into the Pillars of the Earth miniseries airing on Starz currently (ending tonight, actually) and I think I have a real opportunity to get her fired up about a new game.

and for my second choice,
The Pillars of the Earth: Builders Duel
for exactly the same reason!

Thanks, this is a great idea, and one I will remember if I ever get to celebrate a similar honor here in our community.

Why?

I'm a teacher in a tiny community on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in northeastern Montana. There isn't a lot to do here other than get into trouble, so occasionally I'll host board game nights for students. I've found that when dealing with all sorts of personalities, you can't miss with cooperative games; they're a great shared experience that rarely leave hard feelings. I've got most of the other big cooperatives titles out there, it'd be great to have another option for the table.

For my second choice, I'd be a little more selfish and say I'd personally love to have Thunderstone. I've been debating whether or not to pick this or Dominion up, but I generally don't bring card games for students to play, the cards wear too quickly.

Wow! What amazing generosity! Thank you for the opportunity.

1st Choice: Why? This game would be great to play with my younger nephews. I have already turned Nick into an avid gamer. And I think this game is just the ticket to get the younger one more interested in games. Plus this game has the added bonus of playing well with 2 players. That is also a major plus for me since I frequently only have one other adult to play games with.

My 2nd choice would be Carolus Magnus. Why? I played it at a friend's house a few months ago, & I loved it. I have been very eager to play it again, but I don't get to play games with that friend very often. So I would love to have my own copy.

Edited to add this note: Thanks for the GG. This is the first GG tip I have ever received.

Why? Because I love Greek mythology and somehow I have not picked up this game yet! I also love auction games and have not picked up this game yet! Why haven't I picked up this game? Not sure, but if I win, you may correct this oversight for me.

Second choice for me would be Witch's Brew (the 2008 RGG/Alea game), which just plain looks fun and easy to teach. I need more games like that for my less hardcore friends to play.

Why?
- I haven't got a civ game yet and I love the idea.
- This one appears to be the best.
- Vlaada's games are fantastic.
- I've been thinking about getting this one for quite a while now.

2nd choice is Race for The Galaxy because I played it once and straight after was thinking about how I would approach it next time with a different strategy. Unfortunately haven't had the chance to play it again.

This geeklist is the reason, why I love Boardgamegeek so much and why I always try to upgrade my english knowledge.

Okay, let me try to explain my game-wishes to you:

First choice: A la carte (from Heidelberger)
I have three children aged 9, 11 and 13 and when they were young, I though at any time they will be grown up and be old enough to play all the great games, I need more than 2 players for. My husband and I will sit around with them at the table and have fun and laugh with them and so on.
But only one of my kids is willing to play most of the games of my collection and the other two are very choosy - they only like games with funny components like "Zack & Pack" or ability games like "Bausack".But I´m sure that this game will be one of those they will like to play and arrest their attention to the gametabel!!!
And these moments are so great and sadly so rare but I will enjoy them again and again, cause I like my family so much, and I like gaming with them so much more! kiss

Second choice: En garde (Ferti)
My husband and I are needing always a kind of game to determine who has to make the washing up or the buying or other jobs in the household. Games are the best way for it - and which game could be better than an obviously duel?

I will keep my fingers crossed for the winning.

Best regards, Boudie

Thanks for this opportunity. I would go with Ideology: The War of Ideas because of the theme. While I have never played this game, the topic intrigues me. I also need a good area influence game added to my collection. The idea of competing philosophies and their varied influences across the globe sounds like a fun and tension-filled experience.

Also, I have read some favorable reviews of the game in which the game's designer Andrew Parks was most helpful in clarifying any questions regarding play experience. To me, this indicates a great passion from the designer for the gamers to get the most favorable experience possible.

My second choice would be Thunderstone. I like the theme and couple that with the solo play, it seemingly can't miss. Also, it appears I may be the only person on BGG without this game...

First of all, I would like to say that this is a very generous offer. I know why you were chosen for the Geek of the Week: Very interesting profile and you seem like a great person!

My first choice would have to be Wasabi: Big fan of shushi and this is just a beautiful game. Very nice colorful components. My wife, who is my main gaming companion, thinks it is very very pretty...so I would like to get it for her

My second choice would have to be:

Ring-O Flamingo

I am slowly introducing my 3 & 5 year old sons to gaming and I think they would really enjoy this one. I would love to see their faces as they fling the circles to try and get them on the flamingo!

Once again, thank you for your generosity and have a great day!!!

The reason? I think this would be a fun game to play with my daughter. She and I were browsing the Geek together when she noticed it and has been asking for it ever since.
This was A la Carte, but it appears to be out of stock everywhere stateside. Instead, this is something off my own wishlist. I've been intrigued by it since I heard about it. Thanks for the opportunity!

Second choice: Dominion: Prosperity
