3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

This is super generous. Thank you!

This list started my head spinning with ideas of what to ask for and I finally decided. BGG has introduced me to many awesome games but, the ones I seem to enjoy the most are dexterity so, those are what I would like.

1.) Bamboleo - There have been many times that I have almost pulled the trigger and purchased it but for some reason have not. Definately one of the top dexterity games on my list to get.

2.) Bisikle - I just recently came across this one and really want to play with a Zball.

Second choice:

Anima: Shadow of Omega

Thanks so much for doing this Raiko! Very generous of you.

I'm choosing Ticket to Ride: Märklín because Ticket to Ride is my absolute favorite game and after getting lucky finding a Nordic Countries before the reprint and trading for Switzerland, it's the last one I need to complete my TTR addiction! It's a great game that my friends all love, is easy to play with my family and is my little sister's favorite game, and it's always a favorite for my girlfriend and I to sit down with for some two-player fun. It also lets me go "toot toot!" every time I lay down track!

My second choice would be Ingenious: Travel Edition. My girlfriend and I love the Kosmos two-player series and I know you also appreciate being able to play good games with your girlfriend! While I think I would also like the full version of Ingenious (since it can of course be scaled down to a two-player version), I think the Travel Edition would be great since the tiles sit in the board and don't shift around - great for playing in bed!

Although I'd love to have Stone Age, it's out of print and would be hard to find, so I opt for Pillars of the Earth. Our family (me, my wife, and our kids, ages 9 and 11) likes cooperative games (we already have both Pandemic and Forbidden Island) and this would be a good way to enjoy a game and express our faith.

As a secondary game, I think Bohnanza would be fun for our family.

I grew up during the Cold War; my home town was a prime target area during the Cuban Missile Crisis. This game isn't history, it's my life, and I'm utterly fascinated by it. And AFAIK, no one I know owns it. I really, really need this game.

My second choice is at the other end of the scale: Incan Gold. I share a house with three other geeks, and we have no shortage of heavy games, but sometimes company-friendly, easy-to-teach fillers are in short supply, and I don't think there's a better one than this.

Thanks for the contest, Raiko -- and the education on Estonia I've been getting from your GotW thread.

First choice: Descent, why? Well I'm in the military and I'm on my way overseas for 1 year and this would be a great time killer for me (and whoever is over there with me) while I "do my time". I love playing games with my girl friend and friends here (in fact they led me to this site) in the states, but we never play games that are longer than 1-2 hours. They would never want to play a 3 hr game, but I think while overseas, I would have so much time on my hands a 3 hour game or two wouldn't be out of the question.

Second choice: That's Life (Verflixxt) because I just played it his weekend and I love it! It's around $20 here if you can find it, but seems to be 8-12 Euro overseas.

Thanks again for doing this, cool contest!

I would say that a chance to win a game would be wonderful. I play with several good friends who are here on the geek but own very few games myself and therefor contribute very little to the group...except a good butt kicking.

1st Choice

Mecanisburgo, because we are all Sci-fi geeks and since passing around the Foundation series like a... well... great series of books, this has been on every ones radar.

2nd Choice

Terra Prime, because it looks lighter and quicker than above but still satisfies that sci-fi itch.

Thanks again and congratulations on the mb

1st choice - Another entry for Cyclades as the first choice.

Why? I grew up as a young lad being captivated by two films revolving around Greek Mythology; Jason & The Argonauts and Clash Of The Titans. Heck, I even used to make myself a toga out of my bedsheets... I made sure the details were right, down to having one nipple on show & pretending the cat was Cerberus (the three-headed dog that guarded the gates of Hades)!

To this day, I am still fanscinated by the Greek myths & often think it would be a fantastic theme for a new LCG/CCG.

2nd choice - Space Hulkeath Angel.

Why.
Who dunnit's are a classic. I have watched many Agatha Christie Poirots, and was brought up on Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple.
I have recently been reading some James Anderson books, Affair of the Blood Stained Egg Cosy, and the follow ups, and that has put a great hankering onto the old style detectives with decent folks as killers, rather then the depraved nutters of modern day ilk.

2nd Death Angel: The Space Hulk Card Game
I have the original Space Hilk Board game, and it is a classic, though transportation is a real pain, especially with the lead figures I aquired over the time.

Thank you so much for this idea! Shouldn't we be giving you things for winning instead of you giving us games??

Why?: I am just now getting into this show, and I absolutely love it. I can't read anything about it on the internet due to the possibility of huge spoilers, but I'm loving every second of it. I'm about in the second season now, and have heard such great things about this game. I love the traitor mechanic, and the fact you can be forced to become a traitor (cylon) halfway through the game is fantastic. I'm even curious why those 4 characters are on the cover of the box...is one a cylon? holy crap that would be crazy!

Second: Stone Age. I'd really love a worker placement game, but Agricola is way out of my price range at this point. I've heard so many good things about Stone Age, that I have seriously considered adding it to my collection.

I rarely win contests like this, but thanks again for doing it! I think the community on BGG is one of the best when it comes to internet forums.

Hi - congrats on being GOTW - loved reading all your geeklists too, especially about your time in the military. I always find it amazing the varied backgrounds of people here on BGG. I can't believe I forgot about this giveaway until now!

My first game is Rush n' Crush
Why? Because I used to LOVE the old PC Game Deathtrack - with it's "cutting edge" polygon graphics displayed in glorious 16-colour EGA graphics! Our game group is big (and this looks like it can take 6 or maybe more players), and we love direct conflict games. We always wished we could shoot each other in Formula D (in fact, that was the first questions my friends asked me when I was teaching them the game... "So you race around a track" "Can you fire missiles at each other?" "No, it's just a Formula 1 race..." "Oh... ")

Second Game: Dominion: Prosperity
This is the favourite game of our group right now, and we are all eagerly awaiting new expansions. Plus my wife loves this game - it satisfies my craving for trying new games every time, and she likes not having to learn new games every time we play

Thanks again for your generosity!!

BONUS: If I happen to win the prize (and I never win these things), I will also select a user at random and send them their first or second choice game.

Why? I love playing games with the woman I love. kiss

She gets freakishly excited over games about farming, trading, or finance. You can imagine then why we have Agricola, Settlers of Catan, and 3 different Monopoly's. If I win, I'll even take a picture of her holding the box and upload it on BGG! Agnes would be proud. laugh

Second choice: Acquire

Thanks for your generous offer! I would like this because I like coop games and fantasy games, so this seems like a good mix. Also, I think it would go over well with my family.

Second choice would be the Heroscape Underdark base set since my boys are really into Heroscape now.

If I may, I would like to have Carcassone for both choices. Because I'd be really really happy to have to it. It's been on my wishlist for quite some time and it's really the only one I think I can't live without. But it's never in GfGG Lotery (and I never win), so I couldn't get it there and my boyfriend and I are going on an Eurotrip in 18 days, so I really need all the money I have for that and so can not buy me a game. Also, it's my birthday in 14 days and I'm just getting money for the Eurotrip and I'm sure gonna need it, so that's another missed oportunity. And it's a bloody long way 'till Christmas, you know?

Anyway, that's my story. I just have to say, that I was stunned with how much GG you got for this geeklist, and I just noticed a few minutes ago, that that's because 0.5 provides one more entry. the naive me ...since Probability is the only subject I yet have to pass to get my diploma I almost decided not to enter, but then said to myself "hey, if you don't try, you can't win" and so this is it for me.

p.s.: too bad we're not coming to Estonia while traveling, I could steal one of your games if you didn't pick me ninja but we'll probably come next year, so beware ninja

1st Game: Brass

I sometimes play board games online on various sites to try them out before I buy them, and none have captured me like brass. I have spent way too many hours playing brass, thinking about brass, dreaming about brass (don't ask!), writing about brass strategy, planning my next brass move, and then even continuing to look at the brass board just for the sheer joy of it after all possibilities have been exhausted. All this thanks to Hammerite's excellent site at http://brass.orderofthehammer.com.

I've played around 100 games online but only once in person at a friend's house who lives kinda far. Now economic times are tough and this game is getting rarer and harder to find, so I wish I could buy it now, but I can't. On top of that, I met a new group of friends a few months ago who I am slowly convincing to play board games, and I know they would love it, too. This is exactly what I need to help spread The Cause. I don't know how much these go for, but I would be fine with a copy that's used, ding and dent, etc.: ie, whatever it takes.

2nd Game: Tichu

Who has ever played Tichu that hasn't had fun? This game is just flat out fun, that's all there is to it. I don't know why I like it, I just do.
