This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522

Last of my finds of the week. A incomplete copy of Heroscape with numerous damaged pieces. The dragon is missing the wings and one of the feet is knocked off. Several figures knocked off bases. About 2/3 of the pieces and 90% of terrain present. Still for $2.00 from GW still worth picking up. Can you ever have too much Heroscape stuff? Well maybe . . .
I needed some sticker sheets for print and play projects and this has a few. I used the cardboard box to make the chits for arkham express and one of the sticker sheets to make the dice for the game, so it ended up being more a make your own arkham express.
It also include software and paper to print your own game money with your own text and image, which seems like it might be useful for PnP projects.
No board games this week but I did find this for $4.99 at GW-
Vegas Poker set with 600 11.5 gram clay poker chips, 4 casino quality poker decks, 6 poker chip storage trays, 2 poker card storage trays in a nice glass and aluminum storage box with key. Also includes Dealer chips "Big Blind, little blind" and 2 oversized white chips.New in shrink.
As I walk up to the next charity shop (Cancer research) I notice a large Warhammer box in the window. I eagerly speed up and then stop short with my mouth agape. The windowed item is a Warhammer 40K base game and they are asking £40 for it. £40 WHAAAAT????? What are charity shops playing at. That's not too far off what I would pay new. I am aghast and slightly demoralised but console my self with the meagre offering of Waddingtons NFL American Football Card Game from the Charity shop next door for 75p.
Having got home and looked this up it doesn't appear to be in the database. Wooo. So yah boo sucks to you overpriced 40k. I'll take my cheap and cheerful and unheard of card game instead. Here is a picture:
