This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522

There was a garage sale a few houses down from me, and I thought I would breeze through to see what was there. Here I find an opened but unplayed copy of Sorry Sliders for $3.00. I know it was unplayed because the rails were installed on all of the boards upside-down. Impossible to play this way. I asked the lady to throw in a copy of UNO, and it was a done deal! Our 5 year old and I have already played it quite a few times today!
Grabbed the FFG version from my local Hastings Entertainment store for a measly 14.99. Has a small dent under one corner of the box, but its not that noticeable, a game I probably wouldn't own if I couldn't find it on sale, but I'm glad I do.
This was the big enchilada and the reason I made the deal I did. I got Heroquest for $7. Did the inventory immediately and it's complete to boot! The box has seen better days but it's still got integrity. There's some very minor damage to the Gargoyle, as well as the Elf's sword, but other than that everything is there and accounted for.
I have sooooo wanted this game since I first played it in 91' and seeing everyone on here land it numerous times just made me want it that much more. At long last it is mine!
I'm not a wargamer at all but I know this is a prized game so I thought I'd put a bid on a 'bay auction that ended mid-week. I was surprised to be the only bidder winning it for the starting price of £10 (+ £7 shipping).
Described as complete & very good condition, just hope it's all there.
Update: Inventoried and it's complete and contents are in excellent condition.
