This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Missing 2 penguins, and top flag. $1.00 Logan Ut DI. I have been looking for a copy of this to make HTMF. I have some colored round disks that will go nicely on the bottom of the Penguins feet to differentiate colors. Now to find hexs.
$1.00 Logan Ut DI. Missing Bell and, movers. But wait-- what is this, a penguin from Pile up. So I am actually only missing 1 penguin. I actually have a few extra that Okie Dokie sent me for my other PPU.
Glad I decided to pick today to break my "thrifting hiatus". Found this, hiding in the puzzles. Box has a split corner, is a little rough, and when I opened the box I was knocked on my arse by the smell.
However inside, everything is there all the way down to the AH catalog (fun browsing through one of these again), the Registration card, and a near full set of the game sheets. I haven't found many AH games with those still inside.
Can't pass these up, even if I don't have chit-wargamers to play it with. Going in the sell/trade room.
79 cents. This one was missing 3 pawns, but I was lucky to have replacements in my parts box, as University Games seems always to have the same ones in all their board games. Now it's just missing a few cards, but it's still playable. This is really a very fun game for the preschool set.
$1.99 @ GW. Almost passed this one by. I had already checked the game aisle and saw nothing, then went back on a whim and saw this peeking out under another bigger box. Mint, maybe played once or twice at the most.
99 cents. Unfortunately, this is the version with the cheesy cardboard movers. Even more unfortunately, it's missing the Sunny pawn, 2 Item tiles, and the red, blue, and green dice. But hopefully I may come across another incomplete copy to fix it up sometime.
$4.00 @ GW. Went to a different store not in my usual area, and found this. I already have a copy, but I do love the game, and the board is quite different than the one I already own. Both are chalk (as opposed to grease pencil ), but in this new one, the chalk board is firm, whereas the one I already own, it is flexible. Everything else was complete and hardly played (which still amazes me how a 40+ year old game can have been kept in such fine condition. Also, there were two other copies of S & B there, but I didn't need any more, even though one of the copies had a lot of duplicate pieces.
$4.00 @ GW. Missing the instructions, and one red marble. I have passed this up too many times waiting for a complete copy, that I finally gave up and just got this one. I'm sure I have an extra red marble in my stadium checkers, and I can find the instructions online or here on BGG. Box is in good shape too.
$4.00 @ GW. This was the bookshelf edition. I just bought the gamette edition a few weeks ago on ebay, so this was a nice find. The paper on the box is fraying a bit at a couple corners, but otherwise all right, and all inside was mint.
