My entry for a shot at getting a game from The Unbeliever's collection

A) I think everyone should support BGG because. Just because! There's more to supporting this habit hobby than spending money on games. The resources here are endless, and the people are super friendly.

B) Dominion Seaside - Because I swear like a pirate on a good day - this expansion must have been made just for me. But really - I think you should give me the game because I love Dominion but am not enough of a completist to go out and buy this expansion.

For the Creativity Item:

(A)The Boardgamegeek is a wonderful community that lives off its members.
Be it Generosity Chains, Games for Geek Gold, or just general help with spare parts - Everybody can participate and help one another. I am glad to have had the the help of two fellow geeks who completed my games I got off ebay. I offer spare parts of mine in return.
This community lives off reviews by people who care for games, who are not trying to fit their opinion into a 2000 words format for a magazine.
This community lives off artistic pictures and impressions.
This community brings fourth hobby game designers who create board games for free. Print and play might as well be dead without the BGG.
Honesty. Respect. Friendship. Three rare things to be found on the net.
Doesn't this community deserve it to be supported?
The little amounts that are spent money-wise are outweighed by so much geekness that one can only love the BGG and support with all that we can spare.

(B) I don't want to say much on the matter. I really dislike clapping myself on the shoulder. So I won't. I hope that is enough. If it is not: maybe I convinced a reader of this to contribute. It is worth it. So do it.

A) I don't know why everyone else should support BGG - but I'll tell you why I do. For me it is peerless as a source of boardgame information. BGN is great but can't come close to the BGG database. Anything I want to know about a game is right here. If it isn't then I can ask and thats when the other great component of the site kicks in - the community. Someone, somewhere will know the answer to my question - and answer it! I've met tons of great people through BGG, played games with people I would not have otherwise met, played games I would not otherwise know about or have access to.... I could go on. For me a subscription to this site is far more valuable than a subscription to a magazine (for example) as the content is constently being updated and added to.

B) Clearly you are a generous fellow and I don't want to abuse that. I'd love Tumblin Dice, Sorry Sliders or another great dexterity game, but the postage would kill you. Fits is a game I've really enjoyed and has been on my wishlist since I first played it. RK is my fave designer and this game is (for me) in his top 10 games. It's a simple idea that works really well. I just hope that you disagree and don't mind giving it up!

REGARDING POINT 3, - TWILIGHT IMPERIUM!

A) Why should people support BGG?

I'm not going to tell you why you need to support BoardGame Geek, I'm sure other men have made much more convincing arguments than I am capable of. What I will do is ask you questions, questions that should come to you when you log into the site, questions that you should think about when a link redirects you here, questions that should be on the forefront of your mind every time you troll, or lurk or comment!

Why should I care? I understand that sentiment, I have felt it. There is a thriving core community of contributors at BoardGame Geek who are serious about this site; you are just a casual user. You come here on weekends, maybe once or twice a month, you check some reviews and look at some pictures, maybe check some rankings. You feel like you are not a regular member and contributing donations is beyond your interest. I hear you. But let me ask you something. What is $15 to you? I mean what does that mean to you? Is it your lunch for a day? Is it your coffee for a week? What is $15 to you for a year? You can't play an arcade game for a quarter any more, but would you put a quarter in a video game machine to play it for 3 minutes? Would you put two quarters in for 7 minutes? How about a dollar for half an hour?

Now I ask you, how much time do you spend at BoardGameGeek or RPGGeek or VideoGameGeek? Do you sit down for just 3 minutes? Do you sit down for 7? And how much money do they ask for? Nothing. You spend twenty minutes surfing this website and they ask for nothing in return. And how often do you come to this site? Is it once a year? Three times a year? Once a month? Every other week? 20 minutes every other week, even a cheap arcade game will cost you $26 a year. BoardGameGeek charges nothing.

So I pose the question, what do you get? Google your favourite game. Go ahead. Google it and see what pops up. Now find me a picture of what's in the box, find me a picture of what the pieces look like, find me a picture of what play looks like, or set up, or older versions, or foreign versions... Where do those pictures link back to? 6 times out of 10 they come right here. 6 times out of 10! That's 60%, more than half. I'll let you think about that number. . . There are an estimated 2.6 Billion users of the internet, over 200 Million websites, yet a search of board games finds an average of 6 out of 10 board game related items are searched here first. Think about that. There is nothing that compares to the scope, the size, the user created content, the flexibility, the developer support, the professionalism, the creativity and the ingenuity of BoardGameGeek. Nothing. And what do they charge you for access to this database?

Now let me ask you the pivotal question, the crucial question. What is the landscape like without the site? This is not a threat, BoardGame Geek has a strong following; we already discussed that you know about the core users, you trust in them to keep the site alive through their work and donations. But what is out there without this site. Go ahead and open a new tab and search right now. I want you to pick a game you've never played and find out what you can about it and then compare it to an entry from BoardGameGeek. Would you buy it? What questions do you still have? How many sites did you have to visit to find all the information? Would you rather just used the BoardGameGeek page?

I've asked you to read a lot of information here, asked you to answer a lot of questions for me so I'll be brief in my closing. I helped to ask the question, why should we care? And I sympathized with the response. But there is a time where sympathy is a hinderance more than a virtue, where apathy is a crutch that prevents great things from taking place. Letting other people support, letting other people help is not good enough. BoardGameGeek provides with so much and they ask for nothing from anyone in particular, only a little from everyone. $15. Not $100, not $50, not $25; though if you can afford to, your support is appreciated I'm sure. $15 is what you can provide for a whole years worth of use on this site, for professional quality administration, for constantly expanding services, for access to a massive vault of data. $15. And if you can't give $15, give $10. If you can't give $10, give $5. It's a small price compared to the access to all this information, it's a small price compared to the amount we often spend on uninformed choices.

Why should I care? Because troller, lurker or contributer, you are part of something here and you should pick up a little piece to help out.

B) You shouldn't give me Twilight Imperium; I picked the biggest, most expensive board game so that I wouldn't be picked. Supporting BGG is incentive enough!

Am I feeling creative? You be the judge!

A) People should support BGG because you don't have to! And because I think it's important to pay for things you like or think are important even when you don't. I've been fortunate that I've been able to afford to pay a measly $25 (or £25, nowadays, roughly!) to be a supporter, but when I consider what I get in return, boy, it's good value for money. If I'm ever in a situation where I can't afford it then I hope enough people who are solvent will carry on supporting the site and enable me to get my fix anyway. In the meantime, I'm happy that my contribution helps those who can't afford it, or for whom it's less important, still benefit. Plus, you get Geekgold. I like geekgold!

B) Thank goodness for middle-clicks, having written that screed above I'd quite forgotten what part B was. Ahem. I think you should send em Cartagena because you've got hundreds of games (603 in fact) and you only rate this a 6. Which must mean it's unlikely to be played again. I rather like it though, and think my kids would too, so why not do it for the children, hey? Also, it's quite light so postage wouldn't be too bad!

If I do win, would it be wrong to edit this to become War of the Ring: Collector's Edition?devil

It's no quandary why someone (who is financially able, I know many are in tough times) should support BGG...

$25 a year is only $2.08 a month, or 7 cents a day. I often find nickels and dimes on the sidewalk... if I put them in a jar, I'd have my patron badge with found money.

I own 231 games... that's only 11 cents per game I might not otherwise know existed.

Because of the thrift list, I know which games to buy to play, sell, or trade. One game's profit would pay for my patron badge for the year.

Sam and I both enjoy BGG (and RPGG) - $25 would be like one night's dinner out, or a year of fun, friendship, information, contests, and prizes.

Also, members can earn geekgold by contributing images, games, RPG items, VGG items, people, versions, and more to the database, or for writing reviews and session reports. They can then sell that geekgold for $, and use it for a patron badge, without taking money out of their household budget.

I want BGG to not just survive but thrive. One way I try to help with that is by being a patron.

Creativity Powers GO!

(A)Supporting BGG...where do I begin? Well, this year is my first time supporting the site. I am glad that I have finally been able to give a little back to a community that puts its heart and soul into this hobby. Not to mention the fact that I have come to spend many hours a day here! First of all, just look at this website! It is massive. I haven't been around as long as some (I joined in early 2009), but I can even see tremendous growth in the past two years! Offshoots of RPGGeek and Video Game Geek are growing quickly. BGG proper is a wealth of everything gamers from casual to hardcore level need to get the most out of their experience. Helpful moderators and members abound. You can even communicate with many game designers directly! There are reviews and session reports to read so you know what you are getting before each new purchase. Forums to discuss strategy and just about anything else under the sun. Pictures to peruse before you even open the shrink. There are many more features that I am still discovering after two years. All of this is provided to you for free! Time, effort, and resources were spent to bring these things to us. That is why I feel compelled to support.

(B)I selected the game El Grande for this contest. The average rating on the Geek is quite high, but you have rated it quite low. (Same score as Hungry Hungry Hippos ) You comment that you don't like it all that much, so I thought I might be able to give it a good home. I have a group of friends who are mostly new gamers, and they have voracious appetites for new games. None of us have played this one, but many area control/eurogames see table time at our sessions. I am hoping to recruit many of them to join BGG and become possible future supporters. If this game hits our table and I mention where it came from, they might just be moved enough to join! Who knows? Generosity is a powerful thing, and I thank you for it!

A. This is one of the best hobbies around. This is without a doubt the best site to support the hobby because it's community driven. It's not corporate driven or magically delicious. Well, it it magically delicious, but it's the community here that helps make it that way. My support each year is to tey and do my part to make sure this place stays that way. Also, I hope to one year gather enough GG for an UberBadge.

B. Bisikle! Because over the last couple of years I have become a dexterity game junkie. PitchCar, Sorry Sliders, Catacombs, Tumblin' Dice, Amun Re (Ok, that one's not normally a dexterity game unless you've been drinking on game night. Long story.). I just finished up a trade for a copy of Draco, which considering it's a Finnish game with rules natively in Estonian, Lithuanian, and Russian, that should count for something. It's enough of an issue that my game night friends groan "Another dexterity game???" when I pull a box out of my bag.

Bisikle is the next evolutionary step for a dex gamer like me. The ability to use english and swerve! And possibly take out a random passerby.

So why does everyone needs to help BGG?

Well, simply put, the site is free to use.
Every day, I log in, check out the immense volume of information and immerse myself in a wonderful and informative world.

So why not help out and help this wonderful tool to continue on and grow?

Come on!

And why would I like to have this game?

My kids love cheese. I mean, really love cheese.
Their favorite?
Blue cheese. I kid you not.
I literally have to hide it when I buy it.
Gorgonzola is a must also, so stinky but so appealing....
So this game would be for my kids, lovers of stinky cheese....

A) Why support BGG?
Because the guilt and shame will haunt you, only very slightly at first, like a small itch that won't go away. Over time, it will start gnawing at your soul, eating away at you from the inside, that debt never repaid, until your very being is caught up and consumed with the blood debt that must be satisfied. Finally, you go insane, gibbering in the fetal position in one of the frozen food aisles of your local supermarket, spouting off something about AldieDerkAldieDerkAldieDerkowemoneyturnonadblockhahahaHAAAAAA before you're popped in the hinder with a Taser and put under heavy sedation.

That's a fate I'd like everyone to avoid, frankly.

B) Why I should receive Tales of the Arabian Nights?
Two reasons, actually: 1) my 5-year-old son is absolutely fascinated by storytelling, even to the point of illustrating and binding his own picture books (even if they're simply titled BOOK and feature nothing but Scooby Doo villains and monsters). And a fantastical story that he has a tiny bit of agency over would really float his boat, I think. 2) I wasn't enough of an ass to pick that copy of War of the Ring Collector's Edition just... sitting there... all that chrome... never to play it, just feel it, and run my fingers over it, my precious.... my precious...

I've always thought of myself to be lacking in the creativity department (especially when it comes to writing) but I'll give it a shot:

A. I am new here as you can see (and to the board gaming world in general) but I can already tell that this is one of the greatest sites I have ever encountered. Ever since a buddy introduced me to Descent and I found this site (yes it was Descent that got me hooked on games) I cannot seem to leave it. Every purchase I have made since then has come from informative reviews and such from all you wonderful people here. Even though I am a poor college student, 15 dollars to support such a well put together site that is made up of the most gracious and generous people I have ever encountered on the internet (you giving a board game from your own collection away is a perfect example of this) is hardly asking a lot. I expect to be a patron for years to come as this new world has already flipped me upside down (in a good way).

B. I am asking for Thunderstone because it seems like a great game for the kind of things I am into at the moment (also love having solo options since I can't always find people to play with) and is pretty cheap as I already feel greedy enough posting to hope for a hand out. I also couldn't find that you rated this game so I am hoping you don't think much of it.

Regardless of all this I just want to thank you and everyone else here on The Geek I truly have never encountered such an online community and such a fascinating world.

Item for CREATIVE.

(A) Why you should support BGG?

- Altruists: At least Aldie and Derk need something to eat, don`t they?
- Boardgamers: This is all you need. Besides boardgames.
- Christian: Give and it will be given unto you.
- Dickheads: Getting banned is way cool, man!
- Economists: It is the best price/performance ratio you ever get.
- Fools: You pay all the time, why not here, too?
- Geography teachers: Here you find any cool map to get students interested in whatever you want to teach them.
- Hypocrites: A good way to rant, troll and flamewar around and still be able to pretend being the best guy around.
- Irish: Don`t. Save the money.
- Juggernaut: Because this is the blue wire! devil
- Knights: Never heard of the "Gold strategy"?
- Losers: Get this shiny 2010 microbadge and you will be part of a real community - many friends around - you will belong to us, then. Sounds great, uh?
- Michael Barnes: Because you haven`t yet.
- Narcissists: It`s better than watching yourself in a mirror all the time.
- Occultists: Paying some amount through the magickal rites of Pay Pall was even recommended by Aleister Crowley himself as the fastest way to become enlightened spiritually and to come closer to Satan himself at the same time.
- Photographers: You will be able to uploaf tons of pics and get them onto the frontpage! wow
- Quakers: Because BGG is the most FRIEDNLY site of all!
- Rich: Feel better after having supported BGG with a transfer of 1,000 Dollars!
- Sentimental: Isn`t it heartwarming to believe you support something really good? All these nice people, who are doing this for nothing, they absolutely need just this small amount you can afford easily.
- Thumbsucker: Here is even a microbadge for you! mb
- Unbeliever: Because it would seem hypocritical not to do so.
- Vegetarian: No animal was done any harm in creating this online ressource.
- Wargamers: Download scenarios, discuss further ideas, insult Eurogamers as well as Ameritrashers: This site is loads of fun!
- Xenophobic: At least it would be something in your life done well.
- Yankees: Go home, but leave your Money in Texas!
- Zen Buddhists: You don`t need your money anyway, so give it to people who do.

(B) Why you should give Zendo to me?

Because I have the Buddha nature.
Because it is absolutely unavailable over here in Germany.
Because it is easy to ship.
Because I finally have some icehouse pieces then to play even more games with.
Because this is the best entry to this anyway.
Because you rate Zendo only "6" - 5 years ago! You don`t care, do you?
Because you will be Geek of the Week in the next couple of weeks for sure.
Because you don`t believe, and this is the best precondition for induction, the main thinking tool for this game - oh, you might wat to try it again? Well, better send it to me, because THIS WOULD BE REALLY COOL!

(A) why people should support BGG.

It is clear, that one of the most important things is - because then they could participate in this Giveaway!
Lets be real - we do live in a comercialized world where there are very few people that do something just out of good heart.

I know that BGG has joined together so many such people, and they will still support BGG and make such great GeekLists like these.

But maybe - just maybe, by giving this great opportunity
(to win something)
to all these other people-could give them a bump - to do so and join all the other great people mentioned above. And even if only one user out of all the paricipants will continue and spread the generossity - then the goal would be achieved.

(B) This is a game that is (was) so easy obtainable in USA, but hard to get in Europe (because of the shippig), that I am still jeleous to all the USA members of BGG.

As I know that because of shippig - recieving this game from USA is impossible.
You could just send me
RattleSnake
because the shipping cost of this game from FFG Winter Sale is 5 times higher than the price listed there, but this would be such a good game for kids that i almost ordered it.

42. Board Game: Through the Ages: A Story of Civilization [Average Rating:8.21 Overall Rank:4]

The game I've chosen from your collection is Through The Ages: A Game of Civilisation. A bold pick, some might think, seeing as you rate it so highly, but there's method.

Firstly, this game has been on both my Wish List and Hot 10 for EVER. This is a game I really, really want but haven't had the beans to pick up as yet. Secondly, despite such a high rating, you haven't played this game since January 1... 2009!!?!

Now I'm no maths major, but by my calculations that means that poor game has been sitting, abandoned and unloved, on your gaming shelves for ONE MILLION YEARS! How can you do that to a game we both LOVE? (Well, I'm guessing here, but I'm sure I'm going to love it.) A more criminal waste of paper I cannot BEGIN to imagine - OK, with the exception of Dan Brown's novels.

Frankly, I find it hard to believe that you would NEGLECT a game so badly. What kind of monster are you anyway? Board games are made to be PLAYED, not to be condemned to a collection just so you can show off to your geek buddies about how many trillions of uber games you've got! My buddy Tom Conway sums it up beautifully in this song - it's about a classic guitar, but you'll see my point - http://www.myspace.com/tomconwaymusic/music/songs/Lonely-old...

As I'm sure you're realising now, your crime is BEYOND FORGIVENESS!

Or is it?

As the guilt is starting to eat away at you, remember there is a WAY BACK. Think how ALIVE you will feel if you blow off the dust, and pack a little suitcase for the latest board game missionary to sail the seas!

Your copy of Through The Ages could spread its wooden cubes of goodness across the green fields of Cambridge, England, making gamers across the county SMILE and LAUGH with happiness. Is this not a more noble way for such a classic to spend its days?

If you send me Civilisation, I PROMISE to play it at least ONCE A MONTH for the whole of 2011. I will greedily gobble up the rules, introduce it to new enthusiastic players, and take great care to give it a home you can be proud of. And then, in 12 months time, if you REALLY miss it (and have been good to your other classic games, of course), I will even POST IT BACK to you.

While it is here though, I will add it to my 'owned' list, record my plays, maybe even write some session reports. I'll do a review, add it to one of my Geek Lists - I may even do my first video review. (CLEVER SEGUE WARNING!) Because all these are things we can easily do on the AMAZING BGG website, although many take this for granted.

I work for a website myself, so have some idea of the time, pain and effort that go into making one work. We get more than 100,000 visitors a month, so its no small fry for a small team to keep on top of. It must be nothing compared to the Geek - just the bandwidth taken up up by us lot gassing away about nerdiness must set them back about ONE MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR! OK, probably not quite that much, but seriously - just look at the sheer weight of COOL STUFF you can find here. It is, quite frankly, awesome.

Having become a patron for the first time this year, I was humbled by how CHEAP it is to do - seriously, its a few pounds (around £10 gets you the patron badge, which isn't even three pints of cheap lager in my local pub!). And the amount of GOODNESS I've had from the Geek this year is worth WAY more than that.

For example, if it hadn't been for the Geek, I might have been the poor schmuck in our gaming group that bought Thunderstone (ick)! That's saved me DOUBLE what I paid to be a patron in one move. And I'm not even going to mention Poo, the card game... (oh, yes I am).

So Joe, get packing my friend! Patrons, great job! And the rest of you - sign up and feel the love!

Why should people support BGG?

Because without BGG the hobby is drastically poorer. The database is well put together with effective search functions and can easily be accessed. Also, you'll earn a little bit of GG and have a chance to win some great games!

Why should I win Java?

Because, I've actually lived on Java and frequently go there (all roads lead to Jakarta). How many other users have actually lived on/in Dominion, a Twilight Imperium, or even Cartagena?

A. People should support BGG as it is a fantastic, if not the best, resource for board games anywhere! Not only due to the amount of games in the database, but also due to the extensive knowledge of the users. I can come here and ask a question and receive some very good answers and/or advice. I'm really happy I joined up back in May.

Speaking of the users, I find BGG to be the best community I have ever been a part of on the internet. People are friendly and generous, and (mostly) mature individuals. In order to keep this community going, we need to support it! If we don't support, we are kind of leaving Aldie, Derk, and the rest in a bind as they try to make ends meet not only with the site, but in their own lives as well. I know I would feel bad if I came here every day (which I do) and used up all sorts of resources without giving back what I can! I pledged $25 in 2010 and plan to pledge more next year! This is one of the rare occasions (if not the only) where I believe donating IS the best way to say "Thanks!"

B. I realllllly want this as I wasn't able to afford it when it came out. I currently own all Heroscape things in existence, minus two things. This, and the Ticalla Jungle. They both came out at a time where I couldn't afford them. Now they are extremely difficult to find! I noticed you only rated Heroscape a 7, while I rated it a 9. I believe that not only will sending it to me clear room off your shelves, but it would be much more appreciated in my collection!

Do you know what time it is?... It's adventure err...eh... Board game time!

A) Why should I support Board game geek?

Because if you dont support BGG you will not pass go or collect 200 GG. Listen if you dont Clue in right now and subscribe you might be Sorry!. The Board Gmae Geek is a Masterpice of a site. When something this good is For Saleyou just have to Aquire it. Even if you are in a far away place like Peurto rico, or Catan, or San Juan you can enjoy the Board game Geek.

On a serious note there are a plethora of great reasons to contribute to the Geek:

-For about the price of a magazine subsrciption you have access to everything Board game related that you can think of.
-All the cool user created material (player aids, expansions, custom figures)
-The huge collection of awesome friendly helpful nerds that run this glorious site need our funds to save pandas... and puppies?
-The reviews have saved me from buying terrible games
-What better way to spend the down time at work then on BGG
-Although many significant others hate this time waster of a site you can always say "I could have worse hobbies like drugs or collecting beanie babies or visiting ladies of the night."

B) Why I should get Settlers of Catan and maybe some of the expansions.

I don't have an epic story as to why I should get this game from you. It is a game that I love to play with my little brother and my dad. For some reason my brother took the game off to college. I would love to share this game with my wife and friends to remeber the times I shared with my far away kid brother. And to sway you a little more to give me the game here is a little sucking up poem for you about you:

(A) Supporting BGG is a natural! It's been an invaluable resource in learning about games before buying, meeting people to game with locally and at BGG.con, and exchanging ideas with people you may never meet over a shared passion.

(B) With your game collection teetering over the 600 mark, you certainly need to clear the shelf space! I'd be happy to take this from you and carry this heavy weight with furrowed brow to ease your undue burden.

Much of my gaming opportunites are coming more and more often with family. They have little interest in any interesting strategy games, and I have even less interest in Farkle, Phase 10, and most mass market party games (their favorites). However, I've found both dexterity and dice games to be a happy medium. Dexterity games have the fun and laughter of a party game (at least for my family), but without requiring you to make a deliberate fool of yourself. It's a win win! Besides, I've been coveting a full size copy of this one ever since I got to play it at the first BGG.con. I'd be very happy to help out with shipping costs on this, as it might be bit more than usual, even with the more reasonable Parcel Post rates. Please help a family gamer, who's starved for good family games!

I'm interested in the Descent expansion even though I don't have the base game, but I've always wanted to find an excuse to get it and if I win the expansion, I might just have that excuse

People should support BGG because they're crazy. We're all crazy. I thought I was all well and done with my collection until I started following those Essen reports this year with their 7 Wonders this and Resistance that. Then BGG secret santa had me stumbling upon Cyclades. Some people are even more crazy, after going to Essen, they go to BGG.con, and then they have thanksgiving! That's a lot of money and missed work days. We are all beyond help, all you can do is give us a shot of morphine and let us live out our lives the way we want. And in order to do that, BGG needs supporters. So help out your fellow addicts and pitch in, not for a cure, but for humanity.

(A) why people should support BGG.

Honestly, I'm a poor candidate for this answer, this is my first year supporting despite being a member for years now. Wait, maybe I am the perfect candidate! A great reason for supporting BGG is to show your appreciation for such an awesome site that lets a freeloader like me hang around for so long with no pressure to cough up the dough! Thanks, everybody!

(B) why I should give you the game you have selected.

I've drooled over this game ever since I found out about it, and it has been out of print the whole time. I know my 10 year old son would just go nuts over this game. My collection, despite its size, has little in the way of Ameritrash. I need to be ruined for other genres! Please, help convert me to the ways of Ameritrash!

I'll throw in some zombies and ninjas to make sure my point gets across:
zombie ninja zombie ninja
And pirates too!

Here is my entry FOR THE CREATIVE:

A. Why should people support BGG?
Shall I compare BGG to a summer’s rose?
Thy site art most informative and amusing:
Rough posts doth not shake the long and lank forums,
And summer’s rose hath all too short a life to play every game listed:
Sometimes too stunning a review to turn off the computer,
And often its complexion and tone are in HD;
And fair from fair its community unclouded,
By miscreants or users changing their usernames;
But thy eternal appeal, oh BGG, shall not droop
Nor lose thy possession of all geeky greatness;
Nor server crash shall crow thou drift in his malevolence,
When in eternal GG thou growest:
So long as people can breath or eyes can see,
So long as games give life to thee.

(Completely plagiarized and edited without any permission at all from Jeffrey Liminsang. But posted with my sincerest and most deeply felt apologies...sorta.)

B. Why should I receive this game?
I am but a poor humble soul who doth love his LOTR. In my holiest of quests to complete this collection, I have but a few items remaining. This, thy most beloved game hath been reserved within mine heart as infinitely special and yet vastly unattainable (along with the Black Gate card). Should thou bequeath it unto me, I should be eternally and profoundly grateful.

(Good grief, "artsy-fartsy poet-speak" sure is taxing! I'd LOVE to find one of the two missing games from my LOTR collection. There, that was WAY easier.)
