As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love. You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. -- Jesus Christ
This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522
Our GeekGuild: The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Do mind the stacks of prized games. Don't mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Not a thrift store find per se, but my sister-in-law was cleaning out a room at her home and came upon a zip-lock bag filled with parts for her Carrom Board which she had given away years and years before. It's not a complete set but it tails into what few parts I had for the Carrom board I picked up earlier this year.
The interesting item, was that she still had the original rulebook in the bag along with the parts. Copyright 1971.
Okay, someone wrote on a September thrift list, putting it up in the active page, and I put my haul there. I'll repost here.
I walked into one of my favourite FLGSs here in Seattle (Berserk Games, as I was asked on the old list) and they have a big table of $5 games. Let me know which are the gems, okay games, and stinkers please!
