This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time
Our GeekGuild The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Do mind the stacks of prized games. Don't mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Be sure to bow before our King, belial1134, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

Discovery Toys Regular edition. Box is in great shape, the 10 big cardboard square cards are crisp, and the cards look almost never played but it is missing gems, which shouldn't be to much of a problem, having gamed for a long time a have a bunch of these floating around. Also missing the dice. This is alittle more of an issue, although a slightly modified sorry shakers dice works, I have some "Ravensburgeresqe" wood dice that I am going to try to repaint. It is also missing 1 card the: 3 green and 2 red card. Any parts copies out there? I am headed to the spare parts list to find it hopefully.
€ 5, used (but most likely only once or twice, looks shiny and new, smells new too). From Austrian online advertising portal.
Visited a consignment shop on my way to collect this. Didn't see anything particularly interesting. Only game I remember is Spy and it didn't seem worth picking up. Came across another shop on my way back, unfortunately already closed.
Found this one on Craigslist - it's no twilight imperium for $1 but I felt pretty good about getting a like new copy of Ticket to Ride Europe for $20. My wife and I have been excited to try ticket to ride for a while now!
Also been looking for this one. It looked like a decent enough party game but I didn't want to pay full price. Last thrift stop of the day took me to SalVal where I snagged one of thise in GLORIOUS condition for $1.25
Vaughn had always been a good student, but now it seemed as though he mastered his lessons too quickly.
I typically don't list all of the stuff I get at thrift stores, mostly because I don't think its worth reading about. However, I just realized that we get ranked in the guild based on our entries in these lists. Therefore, a new era approaches for me! Found this at a Goodwill on the way home from my parent's house on Monday.
I went to Salvation Army again today to pick up my Ms. Pac-Man machine (I didn't have room for it in the van yesterday). I found this Gamewright on the cart waiting to be put away. I haven't seen this one at thrift before, so I thought I would grab it. I like the theme.
Well I would have to say one of the more unproductive interstate thrifting excursions today-hit 6 different Savers, GW's 7 SA'S and came away with just this and a couple Nintendo games. Stealth looks unplayed but it is missing one of the red plastic pieces..
$1.99 at Goodwill. Variant counters and cards are unpunched, which is the reason I got a redundant copy in the first place - some of these bits are MIA in my first copy.
To get to this GW, I had to navigate around a rather nasty car/bus accident, which reminded me how fortunate I am to be thrifting for relatively meaningless cardboard and plastic, rather than riding in an emergency vehicle - or being responsible for injuring someone else.
Ha! found this today at ARC. Was complete when looked at it but the price was marked at an astounding $7.99. Wasn't going to pay that much as have a variety of TSR dungeon stomping games as it is so thought I would ask for a price reduction anyways. Asked for ARC to drop the price because it was too much -they know who I am and must like me cause I carried it home for $3.99
Stopped by my VV and found this wedged on the bottom shelf. Pried it out, and checked the bits to see if the balls were all there. One is a large, glass, blue/turquoise thing, but it's a pretty good match, so there aren't any playability issues. One of the few Gigamics I've never seen before. $2.18
