This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I.

$2.99 Wisconsin Rapids WI Goodwill. Box crunched, no instructions or intro sheet, but everything else in great condition. Felt like I was picking up a Thrifting Guild merit badge.
My wife and I were just talking and wondering how much Goodwill circulates their donations between stores, as we've found certain places to have better books or games depending on their location. College towns have better books, and richer or big cities better games (like the big hospital/clinic town where I got Pandemic in shrink). I don't think I've picked up any Euros from our Goodwill, but have found a few collectibles such as this one and a Dungeon that I *didn't* impulse for $5. Tonight I went looking to see if the Nautical Trivia in shrink was still there for $7 but with a color sale--it had nifty pieces and board but poor reviews, so couldn't justify that price.
$9.50 at Essex Retail Outlet. Box is crushed and I won't keep it, but the rest is unpunched and complete. Found a sterlite box for a couple dollars that fits everything, including the insert, perfectly.
I may put this up for trade, just going to look over the directions to see if it something I would be interested to try.
Saw this last week, couldn't bring myself to it...came and read a couple of reviews and apparently it's not a horrible game. saw it there again today, broke the rules and cracked the tape...and all giblets...so it pushed me over the top
Well, this is not my usual stinginess, but $16 for about 800-1000 cards in VV hanging bags. Does anyone play this one anymore? Apparently a new LoTR "living" card game is coming out soon. Is "living" just newspeak for "trading" or "collectable"?
.99 at GW for the edition pictured. My first copy of this thrift staple. I regretted passing on a nice copy of the same edition a few weeks ago, so I grabbed this one even though it was obviously a favorite of the previous owner. At least it's complete.
