This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time
Our GeekGuild: The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Do mind the stacks of prized games. Don't mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Current Thrift King belial1134, previous Kings Great Mazinga, minionhunter I, Krazygit I, EvilTimmy I and Blackwind I.
In great condition but missing one Red Fight Die and a bunch of pawn stands. The stands are no problem as I have extras from other games. Anybody know which Yahtzee Jr has a Red die? Its either that Or I suppose I could start my Chunky Fighters dice collection with this one
I think (he said nervously) that the tile market may be firming. I have had three straight weeks of getting at least $15.00 per 200 tiles. We will see. Found six sets for various prices (1.00 to $2.99) at various locations through out the Valley of the Sun!
Waiting for my version's picture to be approved. This one is an Aurora Skittle Bowl from 1979. Its smaller though with only a 15" pan and 2.5" tall pins. It was missing the instructions, but they were available on the net and there were no score cards. $1.00 at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale.
Edition Pictured. Deluxe version. Missing the dice (no problem). The box is in rough shape and the board has some condition issues. It came with about double the normal count of glass marbles though. If you need one, GM me and I will see if I have that color. Lots of white and yellow ones. $2.00 at an Animal Thrift store in Youngtown.
Another Master Detective. This is about four in the past four weeks I think. This one was missing one card (I had it in my spares) and the dice (also in the spares). $1.99 at GW in Phoenix. The balance is in good condition with most of the detective pad left!
The first of three found. This one is a parts copy. Missing the ring (of course) and about 1/2 of each of the armies. If you need a couple of pieces GM and I can help you out. This one was $2.50 at GW in Phoenix.
Risk #3 is from a lot of 10 games for $30 off of CL. The guy said that they would be all complete (I knew they wouldn't be and this one wasn't). This one was missing a few pieces (replaced from the spare copy) and the ring (replaced from a recent order from Hasbro). I still have 5 games to inventory and they will not be put up until I do. So I will list only 1/2 of these games.
This one was the one that made me do the deal (CL for $3.00). Unfortunately its missing one AA gun, two factories, three of the minis, a few control tokens and all of the dice. Anyone know how many dice and what colors they should be (I should have trouble replacing the 12)? The three minis shouldn't be a problem either as there are plenty here.
Also does anyone know if the National Production Charts are imprinted on the four National Reference Cards?
