This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

seemed like i would go home with no games as i saw nothing of interest in the regular game section, but then i saw this on a shelf with the random household stuff. was heavily taped up but slightly bulging so i had high hopes for completeness. alas, it's only got 29 of the 30 figures (no dragon), missing 6 grass 1-hex tiles, 1 sand 1-hex tile, and 4 water tiles, but the tiles are sparkly. also missing all the army cards, all dice, all markers, and all glyphs. $2.19 at unique thrift store in jamaica ny.
Gas tank on empty, need to last until Wednesday. $13 in pocket -- what to do?!?
Why.. stop in at Goodwill of course! Knowing I'll be putting $10 in my tank, that left me with $3 to hunt for a bargain - might as well stop at GW *before* get gas, just in case something that Should Not Be Passed Up was there. It is a Monday after all, and the shelves are lined with weekend game donation goodness.
What do I find? Both Hoopla AND Moods, for $2 each. But I can only afford one!
Went with Hoopla - better chance I'd play this in case I didn't sell it on eBay, and recent chatter here seemed to indicate that Moods prices were falling.
Did I make the right call?
In any case, Hoopla is up for trade. Contents mostly complete (missing the pencil, and 4 or 5 sheets on the pad were used). Timer and Die in great condition. One of the two decks of cards is still in Shrink. 2 or 3 individual cards in the other stack are slightly warped, but all are present and accounted for.
It's been a month or so since I listed anything... maybe 2. I don't know but I'm not going to go back and look. Suffice it to say it's been a while.
Today, I found the Eye of Terror Codex for Warhammer 40k. I've heard of these but never seen one at all and was curious what they are like. They vaguely remind me of the clan books for Vampire: The Masquerade.
Was surprised this box was so heavy. 65 red glass beads inside.
$1.50 at Goodwill.
After finding few games I was happy to find the first two books from Stieg Larsson being The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. Look forward to reading those. Have heard nothing but greta things about the series.
