This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time

And right beneath it was another copy for $3.43. I hesitated and then decided to buy both. What if one was incomplete? Then I'd really be regretting not picking up the other one to make a complete copy. This one turned out to be complete as well. Not sure what went on with the pricing there as the boxes were identical.
Lastly, I've regretted not picking this one up before. My kids love Loopin' Louie, and the more I look at this one, the more I think it will be a big hit too. So I was quite happy to see another one on the shelf. Haven't had time to inventory it yet, but the box is very full. $1.61.
I don't normally get out to Goodwill quite as often as my husband, but I was bored, and it was 40% off Wednesday today. Took the kids and wandered around a bit. Found this, the 1970 version. A couple of the corners are blown, but the box looked pretty full of stuff, so I went ahead and picked it up. It's complete and in pretty good condition, other than having several of the art cards written on in what looks like pre-teen handwriting -- looks like she was using the cards for her own Clue-style game. Also, the box had two little wooden dice, though the game rules only reference one die.
So I broke a rule today. Saw this on the shelf. Grabbed it. Price $9.99 plus tax. Took to the checkout line. Didn't inspect the contents
In line, guy says to me, "Yeah I looked at that the other day. It's missing a ton of pieces and it's full of playdoh and stuff."
"Yeah, that's OK" I say.
Get it home and open it up. Woah, Starcraft cards.
Then I notice that the box bottom, is a Starcraft box, only the top was WoW. So I got WoW:TBG rules, Starcraft rules, WoW character sheets and three boss sheets, SC play aids, most order tokens, some building improvements, lots of bases, two or three figures, one Heroscape Marro hound, 4 decks of Starcraft cards still in shrink and both Terran and the overmind decks, playdoh, a quarter, four WoW figures, the WoW board, the WoW monster summary, and 6 or seven SC planets...
Then I saw a red 3M on the bottom shelf, which turned out to be Mr. President. As I was heading to the checkout stand, noticed it had yet another box back that I have never seen before. 1967 copyright on the front, but was worth getting for $3.36.
EDIT: This is actually the older version, Mr. President with the non-state specific vote numbers. Not sure why it has the 1967 copyright.
EDIT EDIT: OK, it's not the older, older version. Appears to be the "different" 1967 version, rather than the "normal" 1972 version.
Finally time to empty the car again! It's been a slow spring but things have picked up a bit lately. Found this at Savers for $2.99. The box is a bit beat but the contents appear to be complete. The clock needs a little cleaning in the battery compartment but it works fine and is in great shape otherwise. Maybe a little oil on the gears though...
Edition shown for $1.91 at Valu Thrift. It's missing some cards but I've got another complete cards-only set so I think I can combine them to make a nice complete set perhaps. Otherwise greatr condition.
