This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time

As pictured, the Deluxe Edition. Comes with a set of dice for each player and little cardboard dice cups. (Think empty toilet paper roll with one end closed, a bit smaller than that actually) Has the neat wooden player pieces and is complete.
Found at Superior Thrift for around $0.80 1 of the 13
Saw a posting on Craigslist for a bunch of games. I wasn't interested in most of them so I asked if they'd be willing to split them up. They said yes, so I got two games for $10.
When I met the guy, he said wase hoping he and his wife would play them. He picked them up because they looked interesting but his wife wasn't a gamer. He asked me if I had heard of BoardGameGeek cause they have "like a million cool looking games on there". Yes, yes I have.
First was this one. We'll say this was $7. Great shape maybe played once.
1968 edition (shown), $3.38 @ GW. This is the nicest copy of this edition I've found - no box splits and complete (including wooden cubes) except for rules. I've got a spare copy from this edition, so I'm set.
This is the first copy I've found with all six original dice in the original clear plastic snap case.
Hmmmm...mine has the teal cards, not the red ones shown in this pic. Here's what my box interior looks like:
On my way to get a haircut I stopped into a thrift store I haven't been to in a while. It's very hit or miss, and always over priced. Today they had this, new in shrink, for $5. I knew I could gift, trade, or sell it, so I figured why not. When I'm checking out, it turns out to be half-price day. Even better!
$2.50 @ local thrift.
But that's not all. The table was actually stacked high with other in shrink games...
Oh sure, the thrift gods are taunting me, all that time that everyone else is thrifting Boxers or Briefs and I see nary a one of them. Now that it's been reprinted, of course one of the earlier editions is going to show up. On the plus side, even though the box has been opened, all the tokens are unpunched an all the cards are still sealed.
