This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I.

$1 @ GW 1993 cardboard box edition - the previous owners only played twice as recorded on the first sheet of the score pads
I was hoping to find an incomplete copy, so I could complete the incomplete copy someone sent me recently, but this one was complete (and has a different style of dice - flat-sided vs. embossed in the tin).
So I've got an extra copy, if anyone has been dying to play this...
$1 @ garage sale Great condition, but missing the rules, the die (oh no!), and 13 of the cards.
Has 155 cards (94 alley & 61 treasure) — haven't gone through the master list yet to see which ones are missing. I've never played Munchkin before; will it even matter if a few random cards are missing?
This, also for $1. The box has some water damage and is scuffed up, especially on the corners. I haven't done a full inventory, but I can tell it is missing about half of the movers. I only have two skateboards and five cars, most of them red and yellow.
The electronic unit works just fine. So now I have to decide whether to track down the parts to complete the copy or part it out to fellow thrifters.
I also managed to pick up a Halloween tin for 50 cents, a book for my son for 50 cents and an animated Iron Man movie for $2. Pretty good outing, spent a little more than $6 total.
Ok, let's start by putting this on the correct list.......
Reruns, Too resale here in Elgin is having a Red, White and Blue sale. Being in a blue box took 50% off the price making this $1. Complete, though finding that out was a bit of a task as this store prefers to truss their game with string rather then close them with tape.
Huge neighborhood sale happening a few blocks from my work. I stopped up there a few minutes ago to poke around, found this for $1, box scuffed but everything inside still in shrink, including the figures and the electronic R2-D2.
