This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

Another copy of this, $2.99 GW. missing instructions but otherwise seems complete, with all bridge pieces. Will copy the instructions from my other copy and try to find this a good home. Different goodwill from the A&A. I'm glad I stopped on the way home.
Keep seeing it, thought I'd grab it for $.69 at GW. Didn't bother cracking the tape open for that much, was rewarded by several info cards from I Spy, no instructions, and a deck of slamwich cards that included at least one that looks like it was actually on someone's sandwich at one point.
Rest of the cards look okay, though, so off to the spare parts bin. Cards are good spare parts, cheap to send.
I remember seeing Crib Wars on the weekly thrift lists before, and I thought that looks like a neat game. But what are the odds that I would ever find an obscure game like that for myself. Today... Boom! And new in shrink to boot!
Still a little bit on a high on finding Crib Wars, I walk down the aisle and spot BHH, AH edition. But it was priced at $9! They must have a new pricer at this store. It used to be everything was priced at $4 (and I thrifted a couple of games this past week for $3 too).
I peeped in the box. Everything was in a jumble mess but it looked unplayed and complete. So I took it home. Still a pretty good price at $9 anyways. The box has one blown corner, and I confirmed it was complete and mostly unpunched.
Limited internet access these days. Will still check-in to view mail and log games. Just won't be participating as much in forums for the near future.
Mary saw this and decided she wanted to give it a try. It is actually a Burger King Kid's Meal version. Looks complete. Even the little jar of clay is moist. I'm guessing a kid got, then mom said no way. It was just a buck at the DI, and I didn't have to eat a Whooper to get it. Seems like a fair deal to me.
I have a tendency to pick up anything with a lot of components or minis regardless of whether I think I will play it or not. Thank god for that. This was missing one silver cannon and one silver bonus life disc but otherwise complete. In fact...
...it contained a woefully incomplete copy of this. Basically I have the instructions, extra bands, extra figures, the extra walls and 2 extra flags. The towers and extra catapults have been left on some long forgotten battlefield. Still, no complaints here, just have to grab a few parts to finish off that master set.
I had been looking to get one in trade for months and this week-end when I arrived at a garage sale of a store in Vancouver I spotted one for 5$ only ! Needless to say that I jumped onto it and brought my loot as fast as possible to the counter. To add to the theme I seized Abandon Ship as well for a grand total of 8$ !!
