As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love. You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. -- Jesus Christ
This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our king: Belial I.

I picked this up from Savers for $1.99. This is the second one of these I've thrifted. The first copy I thrifted was attacked pretty badly by the tape monkeys. The outside of this box is much nicer, but I still need to do inventory. Assuming this one is complete, I'll put the other one up for trade.
Edit: I now have a Pirateer up for trade if anyone is interested.
One more checked off of my Novice Thrifter's Staple List. Edition pictured. I haven't inventoried it yet, but it looked like it was all there. I'm hoping to get to play this soon - I've only ever played the family version, and I must admit that questions about Disney Princesses and such kind of left me floundering.
Walked into Goodwill to see the restocking carts by the toy/game area. Many of the bins had games, there were probably at least 15 games in these restocking bins. Three of them never made it to the shelves...
First interesting one I noticed was this. Used, box looks like someone stepped on it, but the cards are complete and in good shape.
I combed over the Goodwill close to my house, and finding nothing was heading out. Then I stopped as my custom dice sense started tingling. I saw this 1979 version of CW peeking out from beneath a pile of stuffed animals. Complete and still has a sticker for $0.79.
I ran through my local GW on the way home...nothing new. As I walked through the toys, they brought a new cart out. This was on top. Yea, Boggle Deluxe...a thrifting grail for me. I am kind of excited that the reprint has tanked the market on these so I don't have to stress about flipping it.
I can now retire my old copy (no box, just the dice and tray). If anybody wants it, drop me a GM...it's yours for the cost of shipping.
Found a bag of Magic cards at Savers. It turned out to be an interesting peek into the mind of some player from the era of 5th edition to 8th edition. A bunch of photocopied proxies taped to basic lands, and then some homemade cards printed out on sticker paper and stuck to real cards. One of these homemade cards was a polar bear that was 89/99! That's some bear.
After picking through, I found about 20 nice rares. Not bad, I think, for $2.99.
